Hi Northstar hope you're feeling ok now. Our HV told us to watch our babies wiggling as even her baby manged to roll off her bed and hurt himself and she's the proffesional giving the advice. Meagn has just managed to roll over for the first time, so I really have to watch her now, and the other day I was cutting her finger nails and I cut a bit of skin and she cried, I fel;t so bad, but theres no damage done, I think we all do things like this and our babies are all ok. Its going to be hard in a year when they are learning to walk as I remember my niece and nephew were both covered in bruises as they kept hurting themselves! Dp just told me his little brother fell down the stairs several times as a kid and is fine now! Hope you're ok anyway. Myermay, I'd organise some time off if I were you, everyone needs a break sometimes!

Myermay, when/where shall I go for the boozy lunch?

On a more shocking subject, I just spotted a Due in May 2006 thread? Wow, were we all pregnant a year ago?!?! Better them than me!!

Hi Northstar - just like all the others have said, don't beat yourself up. Babies were made with soft bones for a reason. I banged dd's head on a door frame the other day. It had me bawling my eyes with guilt but she didn't care. Just had a look of surprise on her face. (or maybe that was concussion ). She only started crying when I got upset.

Uwila I keep thinking about the fact I was pregnant a year ago. And I keep looking at the clothes dd has outgrown and think to myself - do I keep them or get rid of them. Do I really want to do that again? I love having dd. She is fantastic! But I hated being pregnant and giving birth was the worst experience of my life.

uwila · 23/08/2005 10:04

Do you suppose this where the prhase "Bouncing baby boy (girl)" comes from?

Abow, I think you should hang on tjo the clothes. You will probably change your mind and have another. I say that only because most people do. I always knew I wanted another, but it did take a good year or two before I was actually willing to endure that second pregnancy. Now I have two wonderful kiddies and I'm certainly glad to have done it twice. Though, having said that, I am ever so thankful that my pregnancy days are OVER OVER OVER.

abow, i know how you feel. me and dp only expect to have 1 baby, dd, i didn't like being pregnant and labour was bad too, but people are already asking when we're going to try for no.2. the paediatrician told me i should have more for dd to play with when she was 2 days old! we'll keep a few of her best clothes and get rid of the rest. one of the things i've discovered since becoming pregnant is that everyone seems to be an expert, its great to have advice when you ask for it, but i do get fed up with everyone telling you what you should do all the time! sorry for the moan, must need that big glass of wine.

Maddison · 24/08/2005 16:50

i know what you mean Myermay, I get broody aswell, can't imagine never being pregnant again, BUT, then I have days like today when I just feel like screaming and running away for an hour or so but all the little smiles and gurgles make it alright again , especially when DS1 plays with DS2, he tried to pick him up today

Hi everyone, Can't believe it's been a week since i was here last. Thank you all so much for your back up last week after shannon landed on the grass. I was so upset, I woke up crying sunday morning as well, but now it seems like forever ago iykwim?
Oh and Uwila - was complete luck that she was parked on the grass, she is often parked on harder things so cant really take the praise for that one!!!
It is great reading through all the entries here, I could have written loads of them! We all seem to be going through the same things.
