Steak I'm sorry to hear it I think if he were to post his side of things in AIBU, he would be found VU indeed.

Steaky Tough times. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that everything magically comes together with sunbeams of clarity, confidence and positive forward thinking. Out of interest, did your therapist get to see this pact? Would be amused to hear her comments on his half.

Have been shlepping about in a shocking pink cocktail dress today for schoolrun, Asda shop etc. Like Cod in days of old on MN. Really need a 2' wide brimmed hat and shades.

sambo303 · 23/06/2009 17:47

right, 4 interviews set up with various childminders, starting tomorrow. Just waiting on work to let me know if I get my 4 weeks parental leave as some of the cms cant have a child under 1.

steak I am really very sad to hear of continued stress chez steak. It seems lots of the problems relate to how to care for Izzy- we have had many arguments in this house too on childcare issues where we simply did not agree. In the end compromises had to be made and it amazed me how difficult it was to make them because a lot of this childcare milarky seems to be very emotional and based on feelings rather than knowledge. What I have learnt is that if we try dp's way and it works (ie more sleep) then hooray and if it doesnt then I'm right, hooray.

cyteen we had the same night as you sans foxes

lentil fabbo for a new kitchen. We mooched round John Lewis's kitchens the other day, salivating over the built in coffee maker and bin that you access through a lid in the work surface. Gorg.

ds has 2 words now: dad and bap .

cyteen · 23/06/2009 17:55

sambo I meant to say how true it is what you said about our babies changing every day. This month DS has learned to clap his hands, mastered the pincer grip, started babbling in the blabladadalalawawa type of way and spends every waking moment turning onto his front so he can try and learn how to crawl forwards. Watching him grow every day is magic

Buckets YOU ARE MY IDOL! Love the HOT PINK NUMBER!!

TwilightSurfer · 23/06/2009 18:15

4 loads of laundry, washed...dried...and now piled on my bed; 1 room tidied; 1 pair of cowgirl boots found but not ordered; 2 children playing happily; and 1 off her rocker mom pondering lunch, although a bit late.

Steaknife · 23/06/2009 19:04

Sambo you are right about the childcare issues. I need to let go a bit which i find difficult. Ts counsellor says decide together or seperate. She suggested trial sep. But i cant see how that would work logistically.

CaptainCaveman · 23/06/2009 19:40

{{{{{{{{{steaky}}}}}}}}}}} hugs before I'm draggedd off to put O to bed with a magic bf

dizzydixies · 23/06/2009 19:48

ah steaky was hoping your less frequent posts were due to domestic bliss and not internet/computer issues - I have no words of wisdom, sorry

lentil wow fantastic news, enjoy planning.
Hi to everyone else will respond better as soon as I can. I am just listing my bears on ebay, will try to link to anyone who wants a peak at them.

Steaknife · 23/06/2009 20:30

Some good news here. We have our housing benefit through so child benefit should follow - hopefully backdated 6 months. But dh wearing grumpy pants tonight, which will not be turning into get-lucky pants later.

sambo303 · 23/06/2009 20:53

Thanks Sazzles I'll add that to my list of 27 Qs - I now have 28, and 8 documents I want to see

oopsacoconut · 23/06/2009 21:01

Evening all

Yesterday's running about caught up with me today and I have slept alot today, poor DD has had 2 1.5 hour naps. I left her in DH's incapable hands and he let her have a philly sarnie on the sitting room floor and she spread it all over the DVDs discs and boxes He was watching the Lions rugby

Steaky {{HUGS}} I have no words of advice as I am crap at it.

Sambo You should get an idea of the childminder by watching her with the other mindees when you are visiting. The flashy bits are by the by she should be calm, loving and 'like a mum' to the kids.

sazzles So you are the one who stole my spare hours today!

Dizzy I love wellie the horse! I want one too

Hi No1 can you link to your bears?

back in a bit DH demanding tea, I just need to go and slap him! And his diet seems to have miraculously vanished without a word

poppysocks · 23/06/2009 21:04

Oh steaky - more sympathy and hugs from here. Another vote for compromise from this end. I tend to find it easier to try DH's ideas out rather than listen to him moaning. Sometimes they work and I just have to deal with minor smugness. If they don't I am quietly pleased .

dizzy . Poor, poor you! Glad you are feeling ok now and have seen a real Dr.

Nothing really to report from here except that life is good: both DDs lovely, thriving and and in great moods at the moment. And I'm really enjoying work .

fair here. busying the beasties and cleaning. i'm a bit worried about my dad. he phoned a lunch to say he'd just found his neighbor dead. she wasn't old but wan't the healthiest lady either. he relied on her completely to care for his home while he traveled the world. very sad.

on a cheerier note the girls have played together all day long. a bit load mind you but play none the less.

TwilightSurfer · 23/06/2009 22:07

load should read loud

TwilightSurfer · 23/06/2009 22:12

no1 those are really cute bears. you make a non-collector style too, correct?

we should create an online store. we could sell to any one around the world. the wares of which would be creations from aug08 ladies. so many of you are talented. steaky dresses, miamla ties, no1bears...on and on and on.....vg could do the cute little item write ups, sazzles could handle the accounting part, i think there's a job for us all, really. they'd write about us in people magazine and we'd be asked to appear on oprah (don't know the uk version of these). how cool would that be!
