5oz most impressive! Wilkie you know how I feel about the bottle - I've been there, and you are so not a bad mum. Let me know when you're up for visits btw.

Shimmer how you doing? Hope you're not overdoing things. Sounds fun though!

Eah don't know if I've missed you but have a fab holiday .

PCF do you reckon you'd fancy another dc then? It is such hard work isn't it, but how easily you forget.

I feel sorry for dh. Father's Day was a bit of a washout as I woke up and promtly puked all morning and felt exhausted for no reason. B screamed most of the day, presumably having something similar, and P was a toddler. Anyway, we've all been absolutely fine today now dh is back at work - indeed B has been an angel today. He's his first set of jabs tomorrow. Hold my hand...

vinorouge · 22/06/2009 20:23

quick post from vino - hello all!

Sylvie was 1 today, how it has flown. Thanks for the card Rgee. I've been at work but she had a nice day with my mum. We got her a slide so e&s were on that in the lounge at 6am!

Had a busy weekend, going to flop and read yesterdays paper now

Hello

Big congrats to wilkie and nemo.

Had a super family holiday landed back yesterday evening around 17:30. Aidan has gone off to school today bless him with his little tan. I hate getting back of hols because of the washing.

Eah had a nightmare trip to dorset 3 hours to get there but they are having a fab time and the weather is good.

Right of to load pics onto facebook.

Reggiee · 23/06/2009 20:29

Welcome back Lal . Glad you had a good holiday.

PCF the jabs went really badly. When P had hers, she just slept, but this little monkey screamed from the time the jabs went in, to 7pm. Sigh. Hope he sleeps for the next 12 hours or so....Great night last night for T. Hope you get the same tonight.
No more kiddies here. DH only wanted one but gave in. I wouldn't mind another but am very happy with two (and I am almost twice your age too ).

Vino do you fancy meeting up soon? Perhaps easier if I came to you? .

vinorouge · 24/06/2009 12:16

Reggie - I would love to meet up soon, have been chocca lately though. Tomorrow I am going to a cooking with chocolate course at bettys so am very excited. Mum coming too and Dad looking after E&S! Oh dear, sounds like B didn't like his jabs. Was he ok last night?

Wilkiepedia · 24/06/2009 15:25

Reggiee - let me know when best for you to come for visit - J is at nursery Mon-Weds OR we can wait and all meet up together??

Had a GREAT night - Leo slept from 1.30-7.15!! Nice one. Expressing is defo the way forward for me. Topping up with a bit direct from breast.

LAL - hope you had nice hols!

EAH - hope you have nice hols!

Where is everyone else?

Reggiee · 25/06/2009 09:53

DH and P had awful trouble getting home last night from work. Just found out it's bacause a two year old was knocked down and killed by a bus on our road

P is really good when walking. She always stays on the pavement next to me, and I normally give her a small amount of freedom as she's not one to bolt and run off into the road. Am now havin serious second thoughts - it's what toddlers do isn't it - run off in whatever direction....

vinorouge · 25/06/2009 20:57

OMG Reg thats awful about the 2 year old dying. I can't believe P is good at walking, well I can but I'm jealous. E is a nightmare dashing off everywhere!

Cooking day was sooooo good. All chocolated out though. Made biscuits, brownies, souffle, brulee and a torte.

Lizzzombie · 26/06/2009 08:26

Hello everyone!
Haven't been on for ages so just thought I'd pop by.
Nothing much interesting to say.

Wilkie - Glad expressing is working for you. I got a bit addicted to it for a while. But eventually found it easier just to BF. I loved that empty feeling you got when the boob had truly been finished. It was like "phew" (tmi?!)

Rgee - DJ is a terrible walker. We still use reigns and have a little life backpack too. He runs into the road alot and runs off at top speed if we are not holding on, and doesn't stop immediately if I shout him to either. Its terrifying. I am sure he will be on reighns until he is about 7 at this rate!

Pcf - Yay on the big sleep!

Vino - Omg...where did that year go? Can't believe S is 1 already. Pull your finger out girl, you could have had another one by now!

I had my consultation with the boob nurse yesterday. An appt which took 10 weeks to come through, should have taken 3 weeks apparently. And she has referred me to have an ultrasound, so now its more waiting. BUT, she thinks its a cyst or fibrous tissue/glandy thing, which is reassuring. I just want a definate that its not "C". Y'know.

Now, ladies, I have a BIG FAVOUR to ask you all.
I am desperate for a certain dress which I saw in Debenhams sale last week, tried on in a 14 and though, hmm...I'll get a second opinion. So went late night shopping last night and the 14 had gone, and the 16 was huge or there was a 10 which is never going to happen. Anyway, I need this dress for a wedding we are going to in the winter. Its perfect, I love it and I wish I'd brought it last week, I am sooooo stupid.

There's a photo of it on my FB and I will upload it on here too.

Its silver satin, J (Jasper Conran) range, was £80 and now is £24 . It its knee length and has lots of pleat detail on the bust but is plain, straight beneath that. And it has pleated capped sleeves.

If anyone see's a 14 in their local Debenhams please can you get it for me and I will transfer funds immediately. I am kicking myself!!!!

Please help!! x

Wilkiepedia · 26/06/2009 08:58

Lizz - if you ring the Trafford Centre Debenhams and ask them if they have it, I can pop and get it for you at some point over the weekend (or ask my sister to)

POst more later

Reg - that is awful about the little boy. J is good at walking too but doesn't like to hold my hand. Just makes you realise what can happen God bless that little lad

laughalot · 26/06/2009 14:08

Ill have a look tomorrow on my dinner lizz x

eandh · 26/06/2009 14:46

am back and unpacked and washing in machine(found fab way to pack so washing very easy!)

no debenhams near us so cant help - right need to tidy up and then get some dinner on as have 2 very tired girls here!

Lizzzombie · 26/06/2009 14:51

Just got back from Hastings, no dress in their Debenhams. My Auntie is checking in Southampton, so if its a "negative" there, then I will call the Trafford Centre!

Thanks LAL & Wilkie!

Eah - How easy is it for you to get to Hastings? I noticed the train goes up towards Tonbridge from there. If you ever fancy meeting up down that way for ice cream or something, let me know!

OP posts:
laughalot · 27/06/2009 19:35

Hi lizz

Sorry no joy in our debenhams either

eandh · 29/06/2009 20:38

evening

Lizz - Hastings is fairly easy to get to about 40min drive (in fact I have family there so we are down that way a few times ayear) but could def do a meet up will be easier in september as Ellie will be in school from 8.50 to 3.20 so could drive tehre meet for lunch with Hattie then pick Ellie up

Wilkiepedia · 29/06/2009 21:41

Well, L is 2 weeks old now and things going reasonably well. He is feeding 4oz every 3 hours (think he is going to be a little porker). J is totally disinterested in him which is great - he occasionally strokes his head or kisses him but other than that he just isn't bothered.

Had a weird night, have given up expressing and boobs have been so so painful and tender. Then last night I felt so sick all night - I wonder if it is connected? I literally didn't move in bed cos I felt so sick - DH did the night feeds bless him. Just felt wishy washy all day but boobs are still hard but not so painful. They still leak like buggery when L cries though!!

Nothing much else to report, hope everyone is OK.

Lizz - did you get sorted with the dress?

Reg - don't forget to text me to arrange a visit

eandh · 30/06/2009 17:56

Ellie had her 1 hour taster session at 'big school today and another 1 hour session tomorrow and thats it! She loved it today breezed in full of confidence and told me I could go!

Had a one to one meeting with her teacher this afternoon (whilst she was at preschool) he asked general health/family/what she likes to do questions but preschool had written a lovely 2 page report on her behaviour at preschool so he has borrowed it and will give it back to me tomorrow. I loved the preschool report as it really did praise her imagination and the fact she can engage 5 or 6 other children into a game she has made up (apaprently the other day she was in a empty box pretending it was a plane and within 20 minutes she had 4 other children playing along and they were flying to america to have lunch with hannah montana ) oh and apparently she can spend hours at the craft table (because she won't do it at home)

I didnt realise how big her school was (they have 3 classes per year) and a fab outdoor play area that has a cover on it and another huge wooden play ara on the field so she is going to love the space and freedom there!!!

Dragonhart · 30/06/2009 20:35

Hi there. Been lurking but dont really seem to have had time to post. Rachel has been a pain at bed time and through the night so we are on operation sleep with her.

Other news, we went to Wales for a week at half term and on the first night Luke and Ruth were sick all night then pasted the bug around. Then on the monday, Luke woke up covered in spots with chicken pox. Then on the thu Ruth woke up with horrible ear infection. In spite of all the sickness we had a great time and weather was lovely.

Ruth had her speech therapist appt just before we went and she completly amazed me with all the talking she did. I felt a bit silly! She seems to have really taken off with it and is saying loads more. The lady said that she would book another check up for afew months time but that she is not worried about it.

Just wanted to say Wilkie that when I gave up with Rachel a month ago, I felt exactly the same. All three times I have felt crap for a few weeks after giving up and really emotional.

Had a look in Warrington Debenhams for that dress Lizz but no joy. Didnt have any sizes at all in it.

EAH- Luke has had one of his taster days too and did exactly the same. Saw the wooden trains and told me I could go. He is so excited about going so I hope that it is not an anti climax when he gets there! He has only gone to playgroup in the mornings as they dont do whole days so a bit worried about how he will manage. Bet he is fine and it is me crying at the gates!

Hope everyone else is ok.
xxx

Hello !!

Is everyone enjoying the sunshine? Its bloody boiling today.

Not much to report aidan is working himself up because tomorrow he visits his new class for the day but he dosent want a new teacher . He has had a brill year with his current teacher almost a different child from nursery and he just dosent want to go.

I have found out he is in a male teachers class which I was worried about as he loves his cuddles and the male teachers cant do that, however he is supposed to be the best teacher in the school and the teaching assistant is a lady .

Oooh and iv been naughty and booked my 2010 holiday back to turkey again but a different part. I guess its the perks of my job .

I must admit im very excited about legoland and seeing eah and meeting her dh and the girls in a few weeks time. Not looking forward to the long journey down though.

Aidan is 5 soon and boy isnt it a expensive job his new bike will be around £ 80.00 if I ever get the one I want (long story), then his party around £ 120.00 and his cake bits
for party bag ect no wonder im always skint.

Vino love the pics of s christening. E looks so like lauren with her blond hair.

Rgee how are p and b ? Has life changed much for you having 2 ?

Wilkie hope little l is ok and your boobies and you feel better soon. I like how j is really not bothered with his little bro yet . Wait till they are 18 and going down town drinking together and you and r are in bed waiting for the door to go .

2happy where are you hiding ? How are the boys ?

Shimmer are you feeling any better ? When is your scan ?

Pcf enjoy your day out worthing lets hope we find liz that dress . Loving your fb pics of the boys.

Rasin also like your fb pics was having a nosey last night, m is getting so big.

Lizz any joy yet with the dress ?

Right im of to peg the washing out, sorry if iv missed anyone.

laughalot · 01/07/2009 11:30

Oh and iv put my fav holiday pic on my profile.

Reggiee · 02/07/2009 09:05

Mammoth post Lal! Glad you had fab hols and brought the sunshine back with you . Although it's a bit too hot for little ones to sleep....

Hi Dragon . Hope the sickness has all passed now.

Not had much time to post of late. All not too bad. B has had really bad tummy troubles and mammoth screaming sessions every other day so we've just switched to a comfort formula to see if it helps. Other than that, he's lovely . Lots of coos and smiles, but he doesn't half complain when I put him down to sleep during the day. Been busy trying to sort out and clear our loft room as we're changing it and having a dormer put in.

Gotta go, someone needs a hug. Hi everyone else...Wilkie will be in touch soon.

Hello all

LAL - birthdays are SO expensive aren't they!!! Esp for the Jan kids as you can't have nice cheap garden parties. Bless him at getting a new bike though

PCF - sounds like Toby is doing really well. Putting two of them in together is a brave move! Hopefully staggering bedtimes will work, my sisters twins share a room and they settle fine but it took a while.

Reg - poor B I used SMA Gold with J which was horrendous but switched to Aptamil and, like PCF says, he settled really well on it. We have the same issues with sleeping during day although mum and dad have bought him a vibrating bouncy chair and it is a godsend for daytime naps. Have given up on the moses basket - it just wasn't happening.

EAH - bless E going to taster day at big school! Scary stuff isn't it!!! I got your MSN about pressie

Dragon - bum about all the illness. I feel like we have just been continously ill for the past 6 weeks. My boobs aren't tender but still leaking like buggery, particularly when J cries. I stopped BFing on Sat so am guessing it should dry up soon??

Talking of BFing...how to make a mother feel guilty....Leo has picked up my tummy bug and has been sick and offish since Tues afternoon. He keeps puking - I feel awful as though if I had continued BFing he would be fine Hope he is better soon, seen the GP this morning and he said he isn't dehydrated so to continue trying to get fluids down him but he is really faffing with his bottles only taking 1-2oz ever 3 hours. He was taking 3-4oz every 3 hours. When he's sick it is quite violent and horrid. I'm sick of us being ill all the frigging time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My FB status was to do with SILs. They are driving me mad, being very childish - it is a long story and not one I will divulge on an internet forum but I have just had it with them both. DH agrees. His family are so complicated.
