PCF - Happy anniversary and Hattie still cannot pronounce all her words correctly but I sort of assumed she'd correct herself as she got older??

Oh anyone had their reminder about preschool booster jabs Hattie got hers Wednesday...should be fun

Lizzzombie · 05/05/2010 07:23

We haven't had our preschool booster reminder yet. But then again our Drs surgery is very focussed towards the elderly. (thats Eastbourne for you!)

Hope everyone had a good bank holiday weekend. Looking forward to the next one! x

Lizz I hadnt mentioned anything to Hattie about jabs but big ears Ellie was earwigging me and Chris talking and heard and told her that she has to have a huge needle in her bum, Hattie doesnt like to look a baby in front of Ellie so refused to cry and said 'fine don't care' so we'll see what happens at 11.10

Reggiee · 05/05/2010 19:24

Hope the jabs went ok. I'm waiting for p's letter. Just got one for B to have his MMR so it'll be fun taking them both together .

Shimmer · 08/05/2010 08:54

Hi all. Hope H's jabs went okay eah. Haven't had anything for F yet.

Belle is driving me a bit crazy at the moment. I don't know if she's having a growth spurt or teething or something but for the last week she has been sleeping really badly and doing A LOT of whinging during the day. Hoping its just a rather annoying phase and she goes back to being my lovely contented baby (like she was before) soon!! It's a bit unfair on F, because i'm tierd and snappy and having to concentrate on B a lot. Have booked tickets to take him to the circus next week (with no Belle)to try and spend some QT together!

Also feeling quite annoyed with the weather, so doubley today! I want the sun back please!!

Lizzzombie · 09/05/2010 08:27

eah - That is so something I would have done to my little sister! Poor Hattie.
Rgee - Hope B's MMR went ok. I've started hearing MMR adverts on the radio recently. Which is new I think.
Shimmer - Hope the circus is good. Where is it? Fingers crossed Belle is back to her peaceful self soon.

I'm off to Brighton today. Soooooo happy! Having my hair cut, a spot of lunch with some mates and SHOPPING!

Have any of you been to Lego Land?
We are not having a holiday this year (again) - keep telling myself I live by the seaside, in the sunniest town in the UK. Its ok. - major itchy feet. Anyhow. Was counting up my Tesco vouchers and have enough to get us into Lego Land, and Travelodge in Slough do family rooms for £19 so could split the journey up. Just not sure if Dylan is old enough for it yet. Anyone know?

Have a good Sunday. EAh - hope the carboot sale goes well!

I'm still lurking, Lizzz. Don't know anything about legoland TBH. We're gong on holiday next month to Mull, I'm looking forward to it but ahve the suspicion it's going to rain the whole week! How was the hair cut and shopping?

We've not heard about ds2's jabs, but the surgery's never been the quickest of the mark about jabs, and I'm in no hurry - dd is getting her 2,3,4 month jabs ATM and could do without taking both of them!

Shimmer - how was the circus? Hope B has settled down now. It's hard work when one of them is going through a difficult phase.

Right, must find some motivation from somewhere. Need to think of something to do to entertain ds2 until ds1 gets home. Any suggestions?!

Reggiee · 14/05/2010 21:06

Evening.
Still not booked the MMR. Keep waiting for P's summons so I can have them done at the same time.

How was your hair cut Lizz? Mine is in desperate need of cutting. Funnily enough, the reason I haven't gone is that my hairdresser moved to Brighton .

23H, talking of visits and holidays, we're coming to Warkworth first full week of July. You around?

Am in London this Sunday (child free) to go to Wemberley to watch footie. Haven't seen a live footie match since pre-P.

eandh · 16/05/2010 19:07

AM here the jabs were okay but the nurse and I had words as she would not give me a prescription for my pill anymore so am currently not on any contraception as they have no appointments for coil till middle of June FFS think Hattie picked up on my dislike of the nurse and told her she was horrible lady for hurting her arms

Rgee I took Ellie for her boosters and Hattie for first MMR at same time, it was an interesting experience carrying 2 yelling children out ofthe surgery

Lizz - Lauaghalot and I went ot Legoland last year, she stayed over nearby (we drove there in the morning) it was okay but Ellie was a bit of a wuss about going on things and Hattie wasnt tall enough for 90% of the rides and TBH wouldnt rush back there as queues were long and it was pricey!

Car boot went well last week came home with 2 carrier bags of bits leftover and made £65

DH did his half ironman competition in 6hrs 33 minutes today but looks shattered now so better go and cook some dinner

Lizzzombie · 17/05/2010 07:27

Yay - other people!!

Rgee - My hair cut is much shorter than I wanted, and I think it looks like a wig. But, hopefully it will grow fast and I will no longer look like a medival boy.

3Happy - Hope the weather is good in Mull. (off to google all about it because I am not sure where it is!)

Eah - Congrats to your DH. Very impressive! Weird about the nurse not renewing your pill....should we be waiting for a big surprise announcement in 12 weeks?!

I've got Dylans' MMR booster date through but its for a Wednesday morning & I hope I can change it as thats when I'm at work, and its a total nightmare to get anytime of at the moment.
Thanks for the advice about Lego Land. I will measure him up and see how tall he is before we book it up.

I feel so gross, my throat is killing me, y'know when you can just feel a cold starting. I need to stay in bed all day today! I need my duvet!

Have a good week everyone x

3Happy · 19/05/2010 12:13

RGee - I am indeed. We're away the week before, so in theory will be rested and jolly that week

eandh - v impressed at the marshman thing! Well done on the car boot sale too

Liz - quick, get into a medieval reenactment group now Hope you're feeling better

Lizzzombie · 21/05/2010 14:52

Ok...so, guess what I'm doing on November the 21st?!

OP posts:
3Happy · 21/05/2010 18:45

Having a baby??!?

Reggiee · 21/05/2010 19:23

I'm with 3H here....

Shimmer · 21/05/2010 21:23

Ummm... November 23rd... having a rather late bonfire night party, going on holiday, having another haircut, celebrating the birthday of Miley Cyrus? (ohhh if you are having a baby, it will have the same brithday as Miley Cyrus!)

Shimmer · 21/05/2010 21:25

Oh, November 21st! Not 23rd! Sorry. That's a whole different ballgame..... I guess.... having a baby!!! Or how about getting married???

Lizzzombie · 22/05/2010 06:53

You guessed right!

Celebrating the birthday of Miley Cyrus!!!!

OP posts:
Lizzzombie · 22/05/2010 06:56

um, I mean, having a baby!!!

Had our scan yesterday.
Am 13+5weeks.

I thought I was faking it and just getting fat, but no. I am officially pregnant!

Haven't put anything on FB yet as there are a few people I need to tell in RL first. But will upload scan in a moment on here.
Can't believe I am now in the 2nd trimester already!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! How exciting!!

Belle is 5 months now and doing really well, apart from waking up REALLY early every morning. (Anybody got any tips to stop her waking up at 5am every morning? It's been going on for toooooooo long now.) She's beginning to really like (Freddie's old) toys now, which is nice. I love it when they begin to really interact with things. She can sit up really well too, but DOES NOT like going on her belly, so I think crawling may be a while off!! We're thinking about weaning soon... did anyone do baby led weaning? It sounds good. Much less hassle than making purees! But might be harder to actually get food down them??

WOOHOOOOO Lizz that's fantastic news Hope you're feeling well on it. When're you telling ds?

Shimmer - ds2 woke at 5-5.30am every day for TWO YEARS, and BLW was a disaster (he refused all solids until he was 7 and a half months old) so absolutely no advice from here, sorry!!

PCF - sorry to hear about the migraines, that's rubbish. dh gets weirdo migraines where he loses his vision occasionally. Freaked him out the first time it happened, and although the headache itself doesn't last that long it makes him feel really poorly for a day or two. Not nice for you to cope with along with the rest of being pg IKWYM about people saying they 'know' it's a girl because they think it's what you want to hear. Then we had a girl, so they all claim they were right, of course

dd slept through 10pm to 7am (sorry Shimmer!!) the night before last and 9.30 to 6 this morning, when she fed, then went back to sleep until 8.30!! Fantastic! I may start feeling vaguely human again soon - though it would help if the boys would manage to sleep past 6am once in a while. They're too excited about the sunshine today and we have been disturbing everyone in a 5-mile radius for quite a while already today

eandh · 22/05/2010 17:51

Woo Hoo Lizz how utterly fab huge congrats

Shimmer - no idea on waking Hattie still waking around 5.30 so if you crack it let me know

3happy - glad R sleeping better, hope you are all well again, did laugh at your FB status about grass in the house mine looked like that earlier!

PCF - Wow are you really 19 weeks thats gone quickly. Sorry to hear about migranes and hope they stop soon. Are you starting to pack for your move? I'm not sure what I would do re finding out the sex I didnt with Ellie but did with Hattie and looking back I sort of wish we hadnt found out but its easy to say that after!

Rgee- hello

Not much going on here, have a few issues with Ellie as she is now getting obsessed with food/being fat (she is so slim her stomach is practically inwards) however she is obsessed with having vegetables/fruit and not eating anything 'bad' (which she thinks is anything other than fruit/veg/proper dinners) she is also saying that if she was thinner she could run faster! Have spoken to school as it appears after talking to some other Mums that there are a few of them saying the same thing so I am assuming they are talking about it, however, I keep reminding her that we need to have a balanced diet and she does need some fat in it to keep her well (I honestly did not think I would be having to deal with this when she isn't even 6 yet )

We'll need a new thread soon this one is nearly a year old

Reggiee · 22/05/2010 20:54

Lizz YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Many congrats . How you feeling?

PDF can't believe you're almost half way through . Migrainse don't sound muc hfun though.

Shimmer I cant belive B is 5 months already. I really don't know where this last year has gone.

3H ohhh fab to get a decent night's sleep. Hope this is the start of a new routine for you. Sleep and an all that....

Eah presume school are doing some sort of healthy eating thing then?? P is excessively cleaning her teeth after this week's focus on the dentist!

Had a lovely day today. Spent most of it outsdie with various neighbours and their kids. Mainly trying to get B to keep his sunhat on, but failing.

Went out with our Vino earlier this week and had a lovely evening catching up. Hope to see her and Wilkie in a few weeks. Wonder how the old timers are from this thread .

Lizzzombie · 24/05/2010 14:42

PCF - I am sorry you are feeling so pants still. Are you able to take anything to control the migraines?
3Happy - Well done on LO sleeping though. I am jealous!
EAH - Scary about Ellie's fat obsession starting so early. I wonder if there are any helpful threads on that topic on here?
Rgee- Have fun with Vino & Wilkie. Glad you are getting some sunshine up North too!
Shimmer - your new photos on FB are so cute. Freddie is looking adorable...& of course Belle is very gorgeous too!

I've just got my date through for 2nd scan. 14th of July. I am DESPERATE to find out what flavour it will be.
If we have another boy we can just get bunk beds (in a couple of years) but if we have a girl we will have to think about moving...not for a few years, but still. And we have lost so much £ on this house that moving is not really a viable option for ages and ages and ages. So. Fingers crossed for a blue one from me!! (obv as long as its healthy its all good though).

Am just off to local adventure park on the seafront. Big pirate ship play area & paddling pool. Hope its not too busy

xxx
