HI everyone
Aaargh DH has decided to sand the kitchen in preparation for decorating, which is making simple tasks such as getting washing out of the machine to hang out almost impossible. Not sure how we're going to eat / drink at lunchtime either!
Will definitely have to try that GM - sounds like fun! Think today will ust be Witton Gilbert though as it'll fit in with other jobs

HANGING OUT WASHING!!!!! not down here - really bad rain

2 year old party this pm - joy!!

James had swimming lesson this morning then me and 4 dcs went to the library - dh watching the cycling with man flu

he is working tonight!!

we don't have parents evening either - just the report this term

Elkie - hows C's teeth?

GM - we want to be kept more up to date with wedding plans please

phdlife · 11/07/2009 12:46

hello you lot

can I share my week with you?

as well as ds (and golly aren't they a handful at this age!) and dd (now 13 weeks) at home f/t, this week I've had dh at home nursing an injured leg, ie, perfectly well (kinda) but unable to do a thing and therefore extremely cheerful! AND I have a headcold! Send choccies, please

StealthPolarBear · 11/07/2009 16:16

oh dear phd - choccies on their way...might take a few weeks to get to you
Hope you're enoying the party oooggs!
Sounds like there are lots of convalescing DHs atm - mine is working like a trouper (for once), after all he is usually ill!
Sanding over and the painting has started, much more civilised! Can get in and out of kitchen again and to the fridge (I have my priorities right )
Still, no point in doing housework, so might either go and watch beebies with T or try to coax him outside

No more teeth showing yet, but feeding is sometimes uncomfortable at the moment - he fusses and nips me. But I'm hoping it will get better.

StealthPolarBear · 12/07/2009 07:00

Morning everyone

Morning

Happy Birthday Dippy xx

Congrats to your ds Dooby. I have no clue about golf, but if he's beaten records that's grand

Oooggs, oh dear re the party; why so bad!!??

SPB, glad the kitchen is done.

GM, always amazes me how the weather is so varied. We had pissy rain all day yesterday.

Elkie, glad things are going well.

All good here. The visit by the inlaws was short and sweet, and then I was out last night on a hen night. We went to a chinese restaurant (12 mums from school) and had a fab time. I was quite restrained and only had 3 gins!

Anyway, need to get on. Tis my birthday topday and dh has something up his sleeve. Bloody B got up at 6 as she was so excited about it all!!

StealthPolarBear · 12/07/2009 09:47

Was wondering how you knew it was Dippy's birthday

Happy Birthday SOL and Dippy

lol at B being so excited - that's sweet

M wanted to play golf at 7am in rainDs1 up early and spritely..why can't he be like that ona school day
Wishing all a good day,xx

elkiedee · 12/07/2009 10:30

Happy birthday SOL and Dippy. SOL, maybe in a year or two B will understand the concept of a morning lie in for mummy (though I don't suppose K will!)

Poor baby's teeth have really been bothering him this morning, though he's finally having a nap, about time too as we woke up horribly early.

CaptainDippy · 12/07/2009 18:58

Whizzing by to say Happy Birthday to SOL!! Hope you have had a super day I've had a nice time Little lie in and breakfast in bed; church and a picnic with friends at the Seafront. Now I am just about to go and get ready for a nice meal out at a Chinese restaurant with DH and a few friends

Has been rather a weekend too though ....

My SIL and her DH have just been for their 20 week scan. The baby has something very seriously wrong with it's heart They already have a lovely little 15 month old DD. SIL and DH are currently in hospital having lots of scans / tests etc to try and determine exactly what is wrong and what the next step is. It is looking pretty bleak at the moment It just so awful. I cannot even begin to imagine what they are going through. MIL is looking after their DD while they are in hospital. Wish there was more I could do. I'll update when I have more news; but prayers for a miracle would be so good right now!!

StealthPolarBear · 12/07/2009 19:02

oh no Dippy That's awful. Hope for a miracle that the scan is wrong xx

Popping by briefly. DH's sister was delivered of a perfect baby boy this evening. 22 weeks gestation. Prayers for them would be so appreciated at this time. Thank you.
