Morning ladies. Sorry I have been AWOL. You'd think with DH having been at home for a full month that I'd have had time for MN. Actually no, if any of you have ever had a DH at home for a full month you'd know exactly why I haven't had time. Get your mind out of the gutter Gin, it's not that.

Thought I'd start a new thread since MKG's lovely girl arrived such a long time ago!

April, am very sorry about your friend. How sad.

Have only had a skim through I'm afraid, but Scoot; you obviously have the patience of a saint dealing with all those tantrums, so I think you'd make a great driving instructor. Is it really what you want to do or are you trying to think of jobs to fit in with family life? Is it a reaction to the current job do you think?

Congratulations on the wedding plans SKY.

Belated birthday greetings to everyone I've missed and happy birthday in advance to all the rest. Seriously, if I go off to find the birthday thread it might be weeks before I get back!

LG&T, is there any way you can channel B's energy into activity? A gets quite naughty when she's bored or hasn't been "out". "Out" can just mean the garden and "out" means she doesn't sound so loud to me, thus killing two birds with one stone. I'm wondering if you being (understandably) afraid to leave the house with him is actually making things worse? Something like a trampoline in the garden could be great because all the bouncing up and down would use up tons of energy and wear him out, whilst also being "fun" for him and "quiet" for you.
Also, re B's nappy rash. Remember A had a hideous rash that needed anti-biotics etc? Well it went away and then was back a couple of weeks later. I thought it couldn't possibly be teeth again as she seems to have all her teeth. Took her off milk and hey presto, the rash was gone in 18 hours. Plus her soft, foul-smelling poos have turned into normal firm not-awful smelling poos. She's fine with butter or the occasional bit of cheese, but any more lactose sets her off. I wonder could B have a similar problem? A's excema also got worse on milk and is now clearing up. I think it's probably temporary, she had a similar problem last year, but for now she's on rice milk or the Lactofree products when I can get hold of them.

I was at the doctor on Weds to get my Mirena removed and replaced with a copper coil to see if my libido would come back. GP couldn't "find" the Mirena. I have to go for a scan to find it, then to a family planning clinic to have it removed if they do find it. She said it's probably just lost, rather than come out, but it's kind of put me off using coils altogether now.

DH still not redundant yet. It's been a month since he was put "at risk". He's seeing HR today and I suspect this will be the final meeting and they actually sack him. His manager admitted they were hiring new people for the desk, but not for "his role", which is just a load of crap. You can't make a position redundant on the basis you want to hire someone "more senior". That's just a staff upgrade. Hopefully they'll make a settlement offer today, otherwise he'll have to appeal and start sending solicitors letters. However, he's had loads of interviews, lots of callbacks and good feedback.

Hello Ladies, long time no chatter, happy birthday to all the babies and welcome all the new ones and congrats to the new mummies hope everything went smoothly

Who is pg? and what has everyone been up to, everyone give me a quick update on your situation/ circumstances so I can catch up

We are all fine, dp is getting alot better he has finally given up the online gaming woohoo, that could be because i bought him a motorbike and he spends alot of time fiddling and cleaning that, but mentally he is alot better, and is getting some great help, Willow has gone back to school and is loving it, Arlen is a strapping lad and very cute and cheeky, he doesnt have alot of words in his vocabulary but he understands excactly what you are saying, he doesnt really have tantrums but his sleeping is a nightmare, I am fine, still suffering with the dreaded monthly pmt and trying out various concoctions of anti d's but nothing is working, and i have zilcho libido but hey ho could be worse, I gave up my job at the beginning of May as it was making me stressed and i wasnt keeping up with the household ect

Look forward to hearing all of your news

MmeJaffaB · 18/05/2009 21:48

Lups.... HELLO, are you back? really back? Yay, we've missed you. Glad to hear things are going OK.

lg&t, I've had lunch at the Chewton Glen before, many moons ago but it is lovely! Just along the coast from you really on the edge of Highcliffe and close to Avon beach and Christchurch, you could probably sail it quicker than drive it.
When is the ceromony?

AprilMeadow · 18/05/2009 22:00

Fabulous Lupins, i had meant to text you to ask if you were going. Baby girl due 14th September . The kids are doing fine thank you. Ella is speaking loads just now and is too clever for her own good. She spends her time copying J - sometimes good but sometimes bad. She is currently throwing herself on the floor in a paddy because dh has taken J to the kids club and she wanted to go but isnt old enough

Tillyscoutsmum · 18/05/2009 22:13

LG&T - have MNHQ given you any hints ?? Its not black tie or anything is it ? Day time thing ? I'm quite liking leggings and dress/tunics at the moment. Quite like this but not sure colour is right....

Wish I was closer to London

Themasterandmargaritas · 19/05/2009 06:28

I can see you in this? With white wide leg linen trews or at a push leggings. I have just bought some leggings and they work really well with tunics, but I feel a bit mutton dressed as lamb.

Hooray Lups you did find us after all, Charley and I caught here elsewhere! I am so glad all is going well.

Good luck for your bro today LG&T.

charleymouse · 19/05/2009 07:13

Lupins71 · 19/05/2009 11:33

LGT whats going on with your brother? Hugs to you both

Hi Tilly and congrats

CM Arlen is going through a not being settled at night phase it really screws you up, i went through it with dd and really thought i had gotten away with it with A but alas no such luck

Ended up in spare bed with the little tike last night as he was awake from 1-3am, not wide awake but just unsettled, and altho we have bought a king sized bed with super king sized duvet it always seems to be me that has no covers and is on the edge of the bed clutching to stay put, luckily he settled well in the spare bed but i turned the alarm off which meant mad dash to get willow ready for school, lucky for me i dont do the school run

Have a lovely day all xx

JamInMyWellies · 19/05/2009 12:32

AprilMeadow · 19/05/2009 14:36

meet up thread

Tillyscoutsmum · 19/05/2009 16:16

Oh - that's such great news LG&T What a relief for you all

MKG · 19/05/2009 16:17

Hey all!

Congrats LG&T!

CM- hope you're feeling better.

Well I start work again on Sunday. Woo hoo!! I'm excited to get back into adult conversations because there is only so much sesame street a woman can watch and I've taken to reading the twilight series for the ninth time (in 3 months) .

Alysia is good, she's so easy and deligthful. Mateo is crazy. Cruz is just happy pretending that Alysia doesn't exist and he's taken to taking his clothes off at any given moment. Yes I am ready to unleash onto others.

SKYTVADDICT · 19/05/2009 16:33

Hi MKG.

Brilliant news LG&T, big relief for you.

JamInMyWellies · 19/05/2009 17:16
