CSWS - That is fantastic!! Well done both of you!

M- I love those nappies too. The only thing is that I can't get many pairs of S's trousers on over them, and his ample bottom. I think some brands of clothes are cut bigger and I'm going to have figure out which they are. Actually Myjob, you're a cloth nappy user, aren't you, can you advise, or did you just buy the next size up?

Marthasmama · 22/05/2009 21:16

Ahhh, homemade cakes? That is totally different and obviously allowed.

Marthasmama · 22/05/2009 21:21

I have noticed that too Aubergenie - Monsoon stuff is a little snug as is gap. That's the good thing about having a girl, dresses allow room for the big bottom. The Itti Bittis are one of the smaller ones I think, but they do make her look like she has a very long body! The Blueberry pocket nappy is HUGE and M can't move in it!

Thank you all for your good wishes for tomorrow. I am going to make some room on the camera for lots of pictures and spend some time with DH (for a change )

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/05/2009 21:28

aubergenie - are you familiar with this site? It's one of the reasons I haven't really put ds into cloth yet, as I struggle to get clothes to fit his bum as it is. He's outgrown all of his 6-9 month stuff already.

Funnily enough CSWS - I had just found that site. They've got some lovely trousers, but they're out of stock. I might post the question in the nappy topic.

loulou33 · 22/05/2009 21:39

CSWS - that now stands for 'can sleep will sleep' - well done you and ?dh for persevering last night. Looks like it paid off in the end

MM - have a great day tomorrow and don't worry about m's spot she can have it airbrushed out or get her to turn the other way . Joe has had a spot on his chin for about 6 weeks as he dribbles all the time not sure whether to take him to gp as hv was a bit suprised it had been there so long. Luckily DH is a photographer so he can airbrush all Joe's photos as it stands out like a beacon.

Myjob - poor N, hope she starts to get well soon

star6 · 22/05/2009 21:50

myjob - I hope N is better soon Poor thing.

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/05/2009 21:55

Ds stirring now (has been for few mins), but hasn't worked himself up to proper crying quite yet. Ooh, here he goes...

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/05/2009 21:58

DH just brought him downstairs.

jenwa · 22/05/2009 21:59

csws yeh come on D sleep well and do not get up early

MM Lovely dress, yes I remember you putting it on here now but wasnot sure ifyou had got it for def.

As for healthy snacks etc, whoops! DD1 loves her crisps and chocolate, she also loves fruit and veg so gets both. DD2 ate a jaffa cake the other day well she swiped it out my hand and polished it off...they have jam in so thats healthy.....strawberrys...counts towards a daily portion right

star will have a look at that thread in a mo.

myjob I sent DD to playgroup with some organix carrot crisps today but felt guilty still that they were like crisps. Maybe should just put some in a pot like you do as always worried that other children wont know the difference between them and crisps and will think dd is very lucky to be eating crisps and them all wanting some! they are actually really tasty!

jenwa · 22/05/2009 22:00

csws oh no! Did you want dh to bring him down?

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/05/2009 22:02

Of course I didn't! We had agreed on the method that we are using, but he was having a lifetime moment of fuckwittery.

OP posts:
jenwa · 22/05/2009 22:03

I thought maybe that was the case did not want to say how naughty he was incase you told me off

Marthasmama · 22/05/2009 22:03

Hrumph - DH is doing work so I may as well stay on here.

ARGHHHH CSWS - Why did he do that?! I thought he was the one trying to push you into CC?! Tut (at your DH)

jenwa · 22/05/2009 22:04

Why do men not get it, surely he would appreciate sleep too??? Can he take him back up to bed now? Tell him he can deal with D being upset seeing he just has confussed what you have been doing!

jenwa · 22/05/2009 22:05

Me and DH have just raided DDs smarties, of course we thought we should eat them rather than let her eat them all!!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/05/2009 22:06

He's taken him back up and told me that I have to deal with him then .
D's waking doesn't disturb dh jenwa, because he sleeps upstairs with dd, so is oblivious to what goes on in the night.

OP posts:
Marthasmama · 22/05/2009 22:06

CSWS - My DH can be a bit like that. I have asked him to stay away when I am feeding M so that I can make sure she is getting enough, but, no. 'I just need to get X' or 'I'm just popping out to the shop....' cue M being distracted and then screaming the house down because she can't look around and have milk. Not quite as bad as messing with a planned night time routine though. Naughty DH.

Marthasmama · 22/05/2009 22:09

CSWS - Is he being huffy with you about it?

jenwa · 22/05/2009 22:10

maybe you should make it him sleep with you to see how bad and tired you can feel. I dont think anyone truely appreciates tiredness until they actually go through it, although you would have to give him 7 months worth now

What a nightmare though! Why get him up if he is making you deal with it! My DH has done simular as they dont like it when DC cry and neither do I but if you have agreed something then you have to get them to stick with it. I hope he realises and does not get him up again. Hope you are ok and not too stressed.

star6 · 22/05/2009 22:11

agreed MM naughty Mr. CSWS. Bring him on here and we'll tell him off for you

My DH can't cope with crying... he is a bleeding heart for Q (of course, so am I... but I can handle a short fuss as long as I know he knows I'm there...etc.). DH doesn't ever like to see Q unhappy with anything. ... going to be a difficult toddlerhood if he keeps that up I think...
