my ds is small too, still in 12-18 trousers, but they are HUGE! he's a skinny little thing too, but then again he doesn't eat much. Seems odd as dd was always big, not fat, but bigger than average, on the 99th centile for height and weight. I won't get ds weighed or measured I

Eddas · 01/05/2009 18:17

oh and dd and ds were babygrow kids, I think they look much cuter and more comfortable. Plus i'm a lazy arse

Claire2009 · 01/05/2009 19:57

Hi all,

J failed his hearing test. They want to do it again in 6 wks, 2yo is a difficult age for it, he's too young for some parts & too old for others. He totally didnt hear some of the tones, dancing bunnies in box, tv on with tones on/off, right side then left..

He's in 2-3yrs clothing & 7g in shoes ..
M is 3.2yo & 5f in shoes & just in 2-3yrs recently...crazy! She's smaller than him, I think she was 91cms when they were both weighed & measured 3-4wks ago. And she's around 13kg ish & J around 15kg ish! I do get asked if they are twins quite a lot

M was a babygrow kid till she was 3-4mths! J was out of babygrows at 4 days old, just wore them for bedtime

Righty, am shattered so going to relax and watch some tv. Hope everyone is well

Sexonlegs · 01/05/2009 21:01

Hi ladies

Mav, any joy with your bag?

Claire, sorry about the hearing test. How are you feeling?

No idea about K's height; she is in 12-18 month trousers though, and has size 6 F feet.
She also has a gold nose!!!!! She got hold of B's gold marker pen and has drawn all over her nose, and I cannot budge it!

Dh away tonight so when he comes back he will have a shock

Hope everyone is ok.

Claire2009 · 01/05/2009 21:47

Hiya,

I'm fine thanks, not gonna worry until the second test has been done.

LOL at K with the gold nose!

J is forever after pens/crayons/chalks/pencils anything that he can go & draw on the walls with he's a determined drawer! He has a chalk drawing board thingy & he'll play with that for 2-3mins before getting bored & chalking the walls! AHHH!!!

Sexonlegs · 01/05/2009 22:11

Claire, hope it all works out ok

K does look hilarious I have to say. She also has a chalk board/white board, but tbh it is a waste of space atm as she is not interested (it was B's)

Anyway, as dh is away I am going to head to bed and enjoy the space

Sleep well everyone xx

Eddas · 02/05/2009 08:44

psml at K's gold nose I take it there's a photo for use in later years? Or am I a cruel mummy

I'm off to Brighton today to see the family. I'm nervous though as Dad & his wife are going and i'm tired which means i'm not in a great mood and i'm at boiling point with relations and fear that i'll blurt all my pent up feelings out and then we'll never speak again(me and Dad) although it could have the opposite effect and make him realise what a shit parent he's been since she came on the scene It's not helping that I keep having conversations over and over in my head(imaginary ones!) and I keep wanting to cry.

Right, off to try and pull myself together

Sexonlegs · 02/05/2009 10:37

Bugger, forgot about a photo. Tbh a lot of it has come off; just a line left. She looked quite cute!!

Hope you can enjoy your day Eddas x

cazboldy · 02/05/2009 11:23

just stopped for a drink, have been clearing all the stuff out of the garage for the builders to start next week for the past 2 hours, but for the last hour dh has been talking to the neighbour while merrily watching me empty out stuff and trying to stop the kids salvaging everything from the junk pile!

you know what they say...... if you want something done do it yourself!

I waited til the weekend so he could help would have been easier had I done it alone in the week ffs

cazboldy · 02/05/2009 11:24

oh and it was rant on here or swear at him and the neighbour!!!!!

elkiedee · 02/05/2009 11:47

Claire, is this J's first hearing test? D is still going for tests - next in June - and my little sister was being taken for tests until she was about 5. Nothing wrong with her hearing, and D's seems to be more can't get a clear result than definite evidence of a problem.

Caz, grr at your dh. I think you should ask the neighbour to come and help too!

I'm getting very nervous about DS1's birthday picnic tomorrow - will anyone come? Will he enjoy it? And I've been planning to make a cake for him but he's expecting it now - we have to buy the ingredients this afternoon and possibly some equipment like a mixing bowl and something to carry it in! This really shouldn't be that hard but I've been fretting since I woke up about 6 am this morning. C is a very good sleeper but tends to wake and want feeding earlier than we would otherwise wake up but too late to get another little bit of sleep.

elkiedee · 02/05/2009 11:48

Any news of how Leaky and Iris are doing?

leakyR · 02/05/2009 19:18

Iris is fine, put on half an ounce when weighed on Wednesday. Sleeps a lot and is very easy compared to G. She looks different everyday. I'd forgotten about that lovely newborn quirk.

I have got steristrips on my finger after spending 3 hrs in A&E following an altercation with a hand blender Poor dh had to join me to help with Iris. Being married to me is a real test for his phobia!

Milk monster grizzling so have to go.

Claire2009 · 02/05/2009 22:24

Omg Leaky! You poor thing! Hope your ok

Thats great Iris is putting on weight well & sleeping well

Elkie, Yes that was J's first hearing test. He'll go for another in 6wks now.
I'm sure everyone will come to the B'day picnic party tomorrow! I hope the weather stays nice, where are you?

Caz, I will join in at Grrr'ing at your Dh! Hope you managed to do everything you wanted to get done today!

Ooggs, Did you go to the May fair in Saltash today?

SunglassesPolarBear · 03/05/2009 06:18

morning everyone
ouch leaky!

CaptainDippy · 03/05/2009 07:45

Glad all's going well with the Little Ones Leaky; but ouch ouch to the hand blender accident ... sleep deprivation is dangerous!! Hope it heals fast. xx

Hope the Birthday picnic goes well Elkie

and about your bag Maveta, completely devastating isn't it - especially the precious, irreplaceable stuff I had my bag stolen from our car while we were at a Wedding about three years ago. I lost keys, wallet etc; but I also lost my children's health records and some really precious photographs Feels like your heart has been ripped out initially; but it is ok in time xxx

SunglassesPolarBear · 03/05/2009 13:20

Well, been to the shops to get DS a few new clothes (he got loads for his birthday so I was just filling in the gaps) and then was planning to go to the farm this afternoon but he has been asleep n DH for about 40 mins now

oooggs · 03/05/2009 16:04

Sorry I didn't manage to get on yesterday and yes Claire we did make it to the May Fair!! It was really good and the first time for years I haven't done the parade with the brownies/Rainbows - I chose to spend it with my own children for a change .

We were down there ages (well until dh had to go to work) and today dh and ds1 ran the fun run and we went down the waterside to the Steam Rally

CAZ - HE WILL BE THE LAST!!!!!

Leaky - fab news on Iris being so good ouch to accident

Elkie - hope picnic went well

sol - lol at gold nose

katy - I have just got out Jack some clothes (old ones of James) and they are fab - like shopping but free - shame I can't do that for Erin

My parents have been away again and I have managed5 nights from 3pm - midnight on my own -0 no bedtime help. We have survived. Though I don't recommend it.

DS2 moving into a bed tomorrow!!!!

DS3 now shouting as dd is bugging him - back later x

StealthPolarPig · 03/05/2009 21:29

I am being kicked! Bump likes chocolate ice cream

Sexonlegs · 04/05/2009 08:31

Morning.

Leaky, really glad Iris is doing so well. How are you??

Caz, grrrr at your dh. Men eh?

Elkie, hope you have a lovely picnic today; the weather looks good so far.

Oooggs, do not know how you do it! Good on ya!!

Hope everyone else is ok and enjoying the bank holiday weekend.

All was good here until this morning when B was sick She is curled up on the sofa bless her. We were supposed to be going to see my parents today as well, but obv won't now Never mind.

Hope you all have a lovely day. xx

elkiedee · 04/05/2009 12:18

The birthday picnic went very well, though we never got out our own birthday cake for Danny's party as there were two others, both homemade, one by friends and one by my stepmother - it was lovely to see her as last time was when Danny was about 7 weeks old. The weather stayed quite dry though slightly on the chilly side.

He opened most of his pressies this morning and we had a look through some of the gifts from yesterday. I think the biggest hit so far is a car transporter with cars, chosen by another 2 year old boy.

Exactly 2 years today I was in a hospital bed clutching this tiny creature and not daring to put him down even to eat lunch. He was about 7.5 hours old and weighed nearly 7.5 lb. It's amazing to think of it now!

dp has put some pics up on Facebook, though he's kidding me that they include pics of me bfing with embarrassing titles. I think he's taking advantage of the fact that I'm not really in a position to go and hit him (the milk monster is eating!)

Happy birthday Charlie.

SOL, sorry to hear that B is sick. Hope she feels better soon.

Like the new name SPP. Have you tried Bump on other flavours?

elkiedee · 04/05/2009 12:21

Leaky, ouch at hand blender, hope your injury is healing well.

StealthPolarPig · 04/05/2009 17:01

I posted a reply! Where's it gone?
How's B now SOL?
Glad the picnic went well elkie. I know what you mean about 2 years ago, T was so tiny, light and manageable - when did he start making his own decisions?!
Bump seems to prefer chocolate at the moment, and I'm just getting to the stage where I can feel kicks from the outside
DH has viral conjunctivitis, urgh. Lots of towel replacing and drops

Sexonlegs · 04/05/2009 19:20

Evening

Where has everyone been??

Elkie, glad the picnic went well for you. Ikwym re 2 years. Time really has flown by.

SPB, B seems fine now thanks, apart from being stuffed up with a cold. She only puked once, and sorry for tmi, (but you know I am the poo queen!), her poo is normal.
I will probably keep her off school tomorrow, although dh thinks she should go

Hope everyone else is ok. Weather has been so cold here today I turned the heating on early! x

oooggs · 04/05/2009 21:02

wow - very little postings!!!

ds2 is asleep in his big bed he was so excited and I will get some photos of the new bedrooms in the loft conversion (shower room isn't finished yet).
