Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Eddas · 30/04/2009 16:13

well nosey bindt wasn't there today as her dd isn't well, I was quite pleased, not with her dd being unwell, but a day off the sarky comments and looks! ah well, normally I would let it lie but it's happened a fair few times now, grrrrr

ds shows no signs of knowing he needs a poo or wee, well maybe him disappearing off then coming back smelling is him knowing I think he may be one of those kids who needs the potty hidden so he can go without being watched

We're currently looking for a bed for ds no more cots

Oh and me and dh are off out tonight my very kind friends(2 childless friends from when I was at school) have volunteered their services. Think it may have been my moaning about never going anywhere with dh as we have a lack of available babysitters bless em! They did offer so I thought heck why not take them up on it, I hadn't before as I felt ds might be too little for them IYSWIM, but he's 2 now and generally when he's gone to sleep that's it. dd shouldn't be too much bother

CaptainDippy · 30/04/2009 18:05

Just woken up from a little nap as sudden felt all weird and horrible in the car. Yuk.

Had a nice day, I was working from 10am til 2.30pm (fostering panel); so Dh had the day off and played the Phoebe. After he picked me from work, we picked up DD1 and took the oldest and youngest for a play and an ice cream at the mini railway before picking up DD2. Has been a nice day DH got tomorrow off too

Right, best help with the bedtime run ....

Won't comment on potty training talk as my oldest were both very late to potty train and think P is heading the same way. Sigh. OOh well, she'll get there eventually. DD1 still in nappy at night, whereas DD2 dry

cazboldy · 30/04/2009 18:24

Happy Birthday Phoebe!

Charlie has been dry for the last 6 nights without a nappy, and had a dry nappy for 3 days in a row before that...... says caz thinking about waking to a puddle the size of england in the morning now she has jinxed it

Molly usually has knickers on for a couple of hours in the mornings and is fairly good ( no poos on the potty yet - she asks for a nappy ) but I confess I am waiting for the holidays when we wont have to go in the car all the time as I think it will be a lot easier, before I make too much of a thing about it [lazy mummy]

Pony still the same SoL thanks for asking..... will probably be about another 4 weeks before there is any significant change

Oh and Claire - he has a mild case of laminitis

We went out to Norwich castle museum yesterday with the playgroup and had a fab time! we went on the park and ride and Molly walked all the way! they have a massive collection of teapots and I was really to discover that she knows loads of her colours (pink, blue, yellow, orange, red,)

seems like they are learning something all the time atm

I love them at this age!

cazboldy · 30/04/2009 18:25

Oh and hope you feel better now Dippy xx

elkiedee · 30/04/2009 18:47

Happy birthday Phoebe

Conor seems to be growing rapidly - the PCT's breastfeeding worker said she thought he was taller than Danny at this age (I think he is too but not quite as heavy). I'm going to have to put away his 0-3 month babygros and get out the 3-6 ones - I suppose that's fair enough considering he will really be 3 months old on Sunday!

Danny got two packages in the post today, I'm wondering if we can resist opening them for 4 days or whether we might as well go ahead and open them now. He's recently started to cover his ears when he doesn't like what's being said to him - how has he learned that before he's turned 2?

StealthPolarBear · 30/04/2009 18:53

sorry to hear you felt ill Dippy.
you were thinking about adopting weren't you? How's that going -or would you rather not jinx anything?
elkie, C must be really tall - D was tall and thin as a baby wasn't he?

CaptainDippy · 30/04/2009 19:20

Cheeky boy Elkie

Don't believe in jinxing SPB Yep, still defintiely consdering it; will wait a year or so though til P is closer to school age

StealthPolarBear · 30/04/2009 19:27

A year
school age

elkiedee · 30/04/2009 19:36

SPB, D was only thin when he lost too much weight after birth, though he wasn't born big (7 lb 7 oz). I don't think he's fat - he seemed to get a bit slimmer when he learned to walk and then fill out a bit again, but he's tall for his age and long in the body, and he seems to have quite a large frame. He's been wearing 2-3 tshirts, hoodies etc since Christmas but I've only recently got out 2-3 jeans. Will have to do some sorting of their clothes this weekend.

StealthPolarBear · 30/04/2009 20:40

ah right, I seem to remember a conversation about growing out of babygros

Maveta · 30/04/2009 20:57

evening. what a rubbish end to the day - been busy helping my parents close up their house and found my bag had gone. can´t find it anywhere and think it must have been stolen from the van in an unguarded moment when we were unloading stuff into storage

worst of it is that i had so much documentation in there as i was hoping to get us registered as residents in the town hall for our new area including house deeds, keys (house, car and work car), ´libro de la familia´which is the official book you get when you are married and to which all children´s details are added when they are born, n´s id card, my id card, all bank cards. And my little notebook that I have kept memories of N in since he was born

not to mention money, ipod, work camera...

feel really upset and hope they just took the obvious stuff and binned it and are not now perusing all the info they have about my life

cazboldy · 30/04/2009 21:01

oh Maveta.... for you xx

is it worth reporting it?

Are you sure it couldn't have accidentally gotten put into a box or anything?

oooggs · 30/04/2009 21:43

hell maveta

elkiedee · 30/04/2009 22:03

Yes, Danny grew out of lots of babygros quickly, but I think it was POTC's J who was long but thin as opposed to gigantic, so that babygros that were long enough were otherwise too big.

SunglassesPolarBear · 30/04/2009 22:15

Oh Maveta, what a nightmare. All the stuff you'll have the hassle of replacing, plus the sentimental stuff you can't replace. Are you certain it's been stolen? have you reported it? Can you cancel your cards?
Also, I know it sounds stupid but is it worth checking the nearest few rubbish bins in the morning just to check they haven't taken the money and valuables (to them) out and dumped the rest?

I can't wait to have a baby to put in babygros again (too big or not ) and this time NO ONE is going to guilt me into putting them in real clothes!

cazboldy · 30/04/2009 22:16

whats with the name spb? going on holiday?

SunglassesPolarBear · 30/04/2009 22:21

No, just a joke on another thread - took me so long to name change though that by the time I'd done it the thread had moved on

elkiedee · 30/04/2009 22:26

aaarrrrrgh for Maveta

Claire2009 · 01/05/2009 00:49

Maveta I hope you can get some of it back if it is indeed gone

Elkie, Clever little man covering his ears if he doesn't like whats being said! M used to do that a lot

J is progressing on the potty more, not sure what to do next though..he'll go on it during the day indoors, but haven't tried putting pants/trousers on to see what he does yet..just stripping bottom half & when he needs to go he goes to sit on the potty !?

Good god, I TT M only a few months ago, I should know this stuff

Talking of height, how tall are the toddlers?

J was 54.5cms born & was 93cms 3-4wks ago.

Ok, had better get to bed! Been paying bills online!

Speak soon all.

Sexonlegs · 01/05/2009 07:43

Morning all.

Maveta, I am so sorry to hear about your bag being taken. Have you heard from the Police? Checking local bins is a good idea, as the thief may have binned what they deemed to be of no value. Really hope it turns up.

Hi to everyone.

Need to run and get the girls ready.

xx

SunglassesPolarBear · 01/05/2009 08:24

T is a shorty at 85 cm although that's not 100% accurate as it's a giraffe on his wall

Bramshott · 01/05/2009 16:33

Oh no Maveta .

Happy Birthday to P for yesterday!

O is such a shortarse I'm not even sure how tall, but very short! Most trousers are 9-12 months and shoes are still size 3.5! DH and I are both small though, and N always was (although she's grown a lot recently) so I'm not worried about it.

oooggs · 01/05/2009 17:37

Katy - you go with it L didn't wear anything but a vest & babygro (maybe a cardigan) until he was 12 weeks. He didn't wear anything 'real' in sizes newborn or 0-3!!!!

Can you tell he is our last?

cazboldy · 01/05/2009 17:57

he is growing up fast!

yes he is your last (currently)

cazboldy · 01/05/2009 17:58

how many weeks are you now katy?
