The IVF didn't work for my friend She is absolutely gutted (obviously) and I feel so helpless because there is nothing I can do or say to make her feel better

No news re party as dh has been working again and I really don't want to bring up the subject. Perhaps tomorrow or Saturday. We are off to London on Saturday for a friend's 40th party, so perhaps an ideal time to ask!!

Been to Body Combat again tonight and am aching already! Really enjoyed it having spent the day with B!!. We had a lovely day tbh, but she is so ungrateful and unappreciative at times it makes me mad.

Anyway, rambled on long enough. Time for bed methinks.

SOL, you've got a while to work on your dh, and I sort of think it's a good sign that he's saying you'll talk about budgets - it sounds as if he's agreeing to the party but saying that there should be a budget rather than you think he's giving in completely... this may be total rubbish, you know him better than I do.

T is OK thanks, he has a cough and a really sore bum but is well in himself and sleeping better (or has done the last couple of nights). I think there's something in general making him a bit run down but hopefully he's on the mend.

Sorry they're prolonging the agony Luce!
Will be finishing work at the end of August at the latest, so three months to go! I don't hate it day to day (in fact there are many days where I love it and I know how lucky that makes me) but there are some underlying issues that mean I want out!

we desperately need a new thread! Please suggest titles, I am useless at it

MJ..Very soory about your friend.I echo what others have said...was it there first go...how hard it must be.My friend had twin boys after her 3rd attempt.
Luce..I really hope you get what you want re job.We are sort of settling.I have an interview soon for a job and then one in July to get on a return to nursing course...all feels abit muddly.The interview is in front of a panel and will last 45 mins and as they have had so many applicants they have an extra interview day to accomodate everyone!
Also I have chronic 'mum brain'!
SPB...Hope you feel better very soon and poor T of course.
