MJreturns · 12/05/2009 11:30

cazboldy · 12/05/2009 12:53

and Harry was supposed to have a follow up appt at the doctors yesterday, but I forgot to take him

so after many apologies he now has to go on thursday.

what's happened with your money MJ? any news?

builders are here

and tescos has just delivered, so off to pack a small food mountain away

MJreturns · 12/05/2009 13:26

Nope, no news. They have promised to ring me back when they have looked into it but I have heard nothing yet. Will give them until 2pm then want some answers. The longer they keep me waiting the more annoyed I am getting tbh.
Not surprised you forgot the doctor's appt either with everything else you were doing!!

cazboldy · 12/05/2009 14:29

not surprised you are annoyed

leakyR · 12/05/2009 14:48

Caz you make me feel like I'm not trying hard enough

MJ I'm not surprised that you're hope you get it sorted soon.

SPB how awful about your classmate. It's impossible to comprehend what he and his family must have gone through. His poor wife and dcs

Iris is snotty today. G has obviously passed on his cold. I feel like poo. Have got awful earache. Feels like something is growing inside my ear. GP tomorrow methinks.

cazboldy · 12/05/2009 16:02

Hi to all..hope you feeling better SOL.

CaptainDippy · 12/05/2009 19:41

Hope DH gets here soon, supposed to be having a "girlie night" with friends and babysitter cancelled on me; so got to wait for DH to get back from conference in London. Boo!!!!!

Hope agency pays you asap MJ - out of order!!!!!

Sexonlegs · 12/05/2009 21:40

Evening ladies

MJ, did you get your money?? How annoying for you. Hope you are ok xx

Leaky, sorry you are poorly. Sounds painful. Hope you are ok.

Dooby, what's up with your crew? Hope you are ok.

Caz, what a day!!!! It is quite scary when written down, as to how much we get done in a day.

Hope everyone is ok.

All ok here, although still feel awful. I have also been really short with the girls and said some dreadful things to B this morning which are unforgivable. Bed time was a battleground as well, as dh was out (still is) and both girls were tired. Things were thrown in the bath by K, which hit B, and she retaliated by scraping and pinching K really badly. I stupidly retaliated on K's behalf and smacked B. B was so scared of me she was screaming for dh Finally all was calm, but I am sat here in pieces. I just have such a short fuse sometimes that scares me. I am not even premenstrual. I feel so awful I honestly feel that the girls would be better off without me.

elkiedee · 12/05/2009 23:21

SOL, I'm sure that's not true and your dds must adore you. Hope it all looks better in the morning.

We had a tough evening here - we need to find another method of putting Danny to bed, at the moment dp still lies down with him until he falls asleep before putting him in the cot, tonight he did that twice and D woke up and screamed, in the end I went and tried to calm D down while dp sat down here and took a few deep breaths, and the third time D fell asleep he stayed in his cot, so far... crossing fingers. C has also had to be fed and put down twice since his bath, though I should feed him soon before we go to bed.

MJreturns · 13/05/2009 08:18

SOL, your girls would certainly not be better off without you. We all have crap days where we say and do things we wish we hadn't, I know I do, but just put it behind you. Today is another day

Elkie, hope you sort out D's bedtime. It can be really tough going when they don't want to sleep on their own.

Still no money for me. The agency called me at 4pm yesterday and were very apologetic. I was told that my money would be in the bank by the end of the day yesterday but still nothing there this morning
I am extremely pissed off with them and so will be on the phone (yet again) this morning as soon as ds is safely off to school. I am really not amused at this present time.

Bramshott · 13/05/2009 09:26

Argh - O's childminder's little boy is ill so I unexpectedly have her here today. Just when my week was panning out so well (I'm organising a Festival this weekend so it's a busy one!). How much time will telly buy me do you think?!?

SOL - I'd echo what others have said - we all have days like that and your DDs love you to bits. You and B sound a bit similar, so I can only imagine that you can easily rub each other up the wrong way! This parenting lark is hard, and we are all just doing the best we can . . .

MJreturns · 13/05/2009 11:09

If O is anything like F then TV won't buy you much time at all!! F likes the TV on continuously but rarely watches for more than a minute or two at a time.
Hope you manage to get some stuff done anyway

And I still have no money in my account from the agency

elkiedee · 13/05/2009 11:30

Yes, D likes CBeebies but he wants to do other things and be entertained in other ways at the same time. Does she still nap during the day? Good luck.

Another Grrr at MJ's agency.

I know most of you do this all the time but dp has an evening meeting representing someone who works nights tonight. My dad is coming to help out but I don't know how Danny will take someone else trying to settle him (probably my dad) - it's been at least 10 months since dp had an evening shift and that was when we just had D to deal with. And dp put Danny to bed on his own or with my dad's help when C and I were away as well. And I have to explain current routine to my dad as well, I don't mind if timings end up a little later but think it needs to be the same sequence.

oooggs · 13/05/2009 11:51

oh mj for you

sol - my fuse is also very short and I lost it with Jack this week at bedtime I can totally relate to what happened and as I have said before ds1 normally gets the worst of it and I am horrible. I really feel for you on that one

leaky - sorry you feel pants. it is hard when you feel ill with little ones - Luke is unwell at the mo but is still smiling

bramshott - wow a festival - that sounds important! Hope O is behaving

CaptainDippy · 13/05/2009 12:57

SOL - I can totally identify with everythingy ou spoke about in your post. I am a psycho beats aith the girls atm Can't help myself, just get so cross!!!! You are a great mummy, keep telling yourself that. You are doing your best!!! xx

Hope you get money asap MJ!!!

Best buzz, pre-school pick up then friends then swimming .... had 3hrs sleep last night - living on adrenilin or howevery ou spell it ... no time!!!!!!!!

MJreturns · 13/05/2009 12:58

AngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngry

MJreturns · 13/05/2009 13:00

3 hrs sleep Cd? That is worse than when I actually work nights and get a couple of hours the following day. Are the girls keeping you up in the night?

Still no money in my account, I am starting to lose the plot here. They told me it would be in first thing this morning, now they say lunchtime (which it already is and still nothing). I haven't got bloody time to keep logging in to my bank account to check. I am really getting annoyed now, it is bloody ridiculous.

Bramshott · 13/05/2009 13:47

Actually today hasn't been too bad - a couple of hours work this morning while O watched telly / ate biscuits / trashed the house; then a walk up the road to see the lambs; then lunch; and now she's in her cot - frankly I don't really care whether she sleeps or not, but she's staying up there until 3.30pm when we have to go and get N .

Grr at the agency MJ. It's so easy to blame computers in this day and age isn't it.

Dippy - you sound manic! How come only 3 hours sleep?

MJreturns · 13/05/2009 16:36

Wow Bramshott, will she stay in her cot that long for you? I wish F would do that sometimes!!

And so the saga continues. I have finally had some money paid into my account from the agency. Hoorah you may think, but no, because it is £160 short of what it should have been I have had more than I can take now, this is more than ridiculous. I am so fed up and stressed about the whole thing, my stomach is in knots. AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Sexonlegs · 13/05/2009 16:39

Afternoon ladies, and thanks for your support. Things seem better in the light of day, probably due to me feeling a bit better health-wise. B is still sailing close to the wind though. She is just such hard work at times. Seems as if I am not alone. I am quite close friends with a mum of one of B's friends, and she is experiencing similar issues - the back-chat, the rudeness, the lack of listening - need I go on???

Anyway, I will try to be more patient, but at the same time instil discipline Wish me luck

Dippy, why so little sleep? Rampant action with your dh after he brought you back pens from his Conference????

Bramshott, glad your day was more productive than you hoped. Good old TV!!

MJ, any money yet? Have they said what the issue is?

Oooggs, what's up with L?

Elkie, I am afraid my advice re sleeping dc probably sounds too harsh! I am afraid I am quite tough - when the need arises. K has been left to cry it out a few times, and she always settles in the end - usually within 30 minutes max - mostly within 5 minutes.

Hope everyone is ok.

B and K being lovely together atm - let's hope this calmness lasts. Supposed to be going out for dinner tonight, but am out tomorrow night and Friday night too and can't face it! Isn't it typical - no evenings out for weeks, and then 3 evenings in a row

MJreturns · 13/05/2009 18:11

Glad things are calmer this evening SOL

StealthPolarBear · 13/05/2009 18:18

Glad today is better SOL, sounds like me and I only have one!
MJ can't believe they are still messing you around!
elkie, has bedtime started? How's it going?
Dippy - why 3 hrs? I was coming on to moan about getting up at 4am..but I won't
leaky - how are you feeling today?
Hi Oooggs and Bramshott (and caz and dooby if about)
I am feeling like a change of career - but 3 months before ML is probably not the best time
