Evening all

Had a very strssful week or so. W fell on the drive, and has managed to kncok his front tooth back He saw the dentist who told that if it starts to change colour, or if the gum swells up, it might have to be removed Guess what? This weekend the gum has started swelling up. Hope its jst an infection that can be treated with antibiotics. Don't want to think of the alternative.

And I managed to bump the car. Into my neighbours parked car. With the boys inside. Luckily no-one was hurt (apart from my pride) Just one of the stupidest things I've done. Swinging into my drive, like I've done thousands of times before, except this time I catch the bumper of the parked car, and ours has a massive scratch/dent going right the way down the ours.

W really not sleeping well at night. Wakes up about 2am, and wants to play For about an hour or 2. We're trying to knock his daytime nap on the head, but that in itself is hard work, iykwim.

oh no runny, what a crap weekend. Hope the tooth is OK. The car thing sounds like the sort of thing I'd do

Sleep - We have been bringing W into our bed, just so he doesn't wake J up (they share) But we have def made a rod for our own back. Will take a few nights of being quite tough with him, iyswim. Although stopping daytime naps might be answer.
And W into his bed at Christmas. Don't think it would've been that soon, but he started to climb out of it So did as a preventation thing.

MJ - hope ds birthday went well. J was 4 last Monday, and it was Ben 10 city in our house

Leaky - you will very quickly learn how to bf on the go J was 23mths when I had W, and I used bf time to either read with J, watch his favourite programme with him etc.

Good morning everyone. I am in a remarkably good mood, especially since I haven't been to bed yet after working last night!

I think it may have something to do with the fact that I have payment for 2 night shifts going into my bank account tomorrow. I called the agency this morning just to check because I haven't had the payslip through the post yet. The money is already earmarked for bills, but I don't care, as long as I can pay them!!

I have had a long catch up with notes, so here goes

Luce, fab news about your little nephew, when might he get home? I couldn't remember how pre term he actually was so don't know his due date. So glad he is doing well

Leaky, great to hear that Iris is doing so well. You will be fine when it is just the three of you, it will feel a bit odd in the beginning but it really won't take you long to get into a routine with them both

Hope Dentist went ok with W this am, RH. Thinking of you and praying the tooth can be left. xx As for the car thing .... you have got to be a better driver than me, trust me!! Two words .... Car. Lampost. Oh yes ... that was me!!

Just to reiterate in case it got missed ....

Before I forget .... I have some 2-3 yr girls knickers and matching vests. There's no way P is going to fit them by the time she commences potty training .... so they are going free to a good home .....

Back from dentist, and so far, all is well
The gum is swollen behind his tooth, (wasn't imagining it) which dentist reassured me is quite normal for such a knock, and this might make the gum more sensitive causing it to bleed. The most important thing is there is no infection.
Was also atrting pancick that he isn't brushing his teeth properly, but dentist told me that as long as toothpaste is getting into his mouth, there's no need for concern.

Now I feel I can breathe (Must have holding my breath all morning)

W is a bit clingy, but fine. H was a star in the dentist, think he loved all the attention

I, otoh, am a nervous wreck Who invented this bloody parenting lark?

And apologies for my terrible spelling

Go get it girl .... Glad the trauma is over and everything is not too bad and there is no infection

My friend gave birth to a lovely DS called Solomon this am - 11lb 6oz OUCH!!!; but very too!

that's reassuring for me too - i always worry we never get his back ones

Glad it went okay Runny. FWIW N has a grey front tooth that she knocked at some stage and the dentist has always said that if it doesn't hurt, then nothing needs to be done about it. So even if W's tooth does change colour, it may not necessarily be a bad sign. N keeps expecting hers to be wobbly soon now (she's nearly 6.5), but no sign yet . . . !

I have added a photo of the Ben 10 cake onto my profile. It looked ok, not as good as the one I made for F, but ds thought it was great so that is all that matters!!
