SPB - I used to try and read a story to the older one or sit and watch tv with them, but the main thing was to make sure they couldn't do too much damage, but feeding on the go becomes a neccescity a times..... don't worry.... it will come naturally

Maveta - All of ours have come in bed with us (at varying times obviously)
I like it though
it's not too bad though as dh is out by 4 am, so there is enough room
Harry was he worst though - he was 4 and a half and I was pg with Charlie..... in the end we moved rooms and let him have our old bed in the old room as he just wouldn't sleep anywhere else !

Oooggs - loving your new rooms. Builders should be starting here next week!

The good news here is that the farrier came yesterday and he thinks Bryn will be right as rain in another week I am soooo relieved. He said the key was catching it quickly (which I did) so made me feel loads better about the whole thing.... I have been feeling really down about it.....but anyway

All ok here, although I feel pants. Dh has gone to babysit for friends, and I have ordered a curry!! Had a lovely day though. Met up with a friend this morning at soft play, and K and her dd2 played really well together.

SOL of curry. Dh is out here too and I think I'm having ikea meatballs....

Hi ladies

Tired so apologies if I forget anyone and this is short or conversely long and rambling.

Iris is a milk monster but seems to want to feed all night long. She put on 8.5oz from last Wednesday to this Wednesday. Which is fab but explains why I feel so tired. G woke at 5.30 am today shouting "poo a poo" from his cot. It turned out his nappy had leaked (wee only)and he and the bottom sheet were soaked. Bed and boy were changed but he wouldn't settle.

He has been to nursery today so dh and I have both had daytime snoozes. Dreading dh going back to work on Monday. Think G might be a challenge when it's just the 3 of us.

Mav - terrible about your bag. Love the look of the train that passes your house. G would be in heaven! We can hear the steam train from our garden on weekends and G stops dead and shouts choo-chho every time he hears the whistle.

Well T is having a family birthday party tomorrow, and I have just finished his cake, will try to put a picture up as I am ridiculously proud of it! I think it's because it looks so amateurish that I imagine him looking at the photos fondly in 20 years time and being pleased I cared enough to make a dreadful cake It's the hormones...

WOW SOL - You are stunning

Grrr. N is very keen to go indoor rock climbing, and I asked about it, and was told "oh yes, we take children as long as they are over 4 and weight 4 or 5 stone". So I thought - fine, well she's 6, so that should be no problem. Only to put her on the scales and realise that she's only 3 stone. Surely no 4 year old can be 4 - 5 stone can they? I know N is small, but not smaller than some of her classmates!

Sorry, I'm grumpy today as I woke up and can't move my right shoulder and neck! I must have lifted Orla wrongly yesterday . . . Grrrr.

sol - Erin loved having her hair done!! Jack was terrible as usual!! And after looking at your photos I will never believe a word you type about B she looks so angelic

Jack (yes Jack) is awake in his bed looking at a book. The only way I can keep him in his bed as opposed to playing out of his bed. What am I doing wrong?

leaky - you will soon get into a routine. But it is daunting being on your own. G is just testing the water to see how far he can push it and Iris will slot in just give it time and remember to eat and drink yourself to help the special mummy milk

SOL-what a good looking lot you are. Your girls are gorgeous and do look like butter wouldn't melt.

SPP- I don't remember how I felt last time. I just know that all the peaceful afternoons on the sofa, bfing and gazing adoringly at a dozing newborn, curled up asleep on my chest are not going to happen. Think/hope reality will be better than my imaginings.
Have we got cake pic yet? I hope in years to come G's heart will be warmed by the home-made multicoloured sperm balloon cake from last year and this year's mangy cat.

dooby - hope ds1 improves for you. Is it the move?

Oooggs - I need to write myself a note to remind me to drink more. No probs with milk so far, but I know I'm not getting enough fluids.

Went to soft play and Toys r us this morning. This afternoon G seemed to be coming down with a stinky cold. He has a v runny nose and more digustingly snotty eyes.

Oooggs, glad the hairdressers went well. I used to have to bribe B with chocolate buttons!

All ok here. Spent the afternoon/evening with friends, and have friends and their 2 dc staying over. The dc went to bed at 10.30 and B and her friend were up at 6!!!Going to be a long day methinks.

Back to friends shortly and are having a BBQ
