boy's tea sounds lovely Ria

Natty, ouch for your back and pelvis; I hope it all rights itself and you don't end up with longterm issues like mine. How long to go now?

We went out to a local park today and had a wander and took some sarnies for a nitpic. I got caught short without any sanitary protection with the unexpected arrival of my period......nappies are really rather comfortable you know

My back is still giving me grief. It's OK when I'm up and about in the day, but seizes up in the evening and overnight....I really need the bonecruncher but getting time for an appointment without small children in the way is bloody hard!

hi natty. your back sounds nasty. when I had sciatica I had acupuncture by an NHS physio. have you had a referral?

am a bit tonight. DH is out overnight after all. Have managed to get the mosters to sleep, but am lost now! Don't want to go to bed yet as I'll be awake by 1am. DH and I were going to have takeaway tonight but I feel a bit mean having it on my own. Didn't eat with the boys (except toasted pitta and houmous because they had lamb.

Rialentless · 03/05/2009 21:42

hi daisy. does your DH have to work tomorrow?

my Mum was in a loo with a young'un who asked her for change for the machine. MUm happily gave her a tena pad, and probably could have provided spare pants too

LackaDAISYcal · 03/05/2009 21:53

He does Ria

He has booked the next one off as holiday though as we are going up to Scotland for the long weekend and it's DS1's birthday. I've found a static caravan for £137 for the weekend; not bad really, and it's across the road from this beach

that looks lovely Daisy

LackaDAISYcal · 03/05/2009 22:03

No-one to ask today when I was in the loo...only a sour faced looking old lady with a poodle...and no machine in the public loos, although I never thought to try the cafe (we were in Goldenacre Park).

It is Ria.....DH and I were married in a hotel there and I used to walk the dog there from my hometown along the coast every Saturday. The one thing I really hate about living here is the distance to the sea; I was brought up with the smell of ozone and the sound of the foghorn and I really miss it . I had a view right down the Forth Estuary from the window of my flat that was breathtaking.

Rialentless · 03/05/2009 22:07

my Mum has no poodle (though I would consider her scary to approach). I don't know that park. were you a girl guide?

Rialentless · 03/05/2009 22:08

you should come and live here. then I could have a proper RL friend instead of the kind I have.

Have you read the cocklodger thread? (fab new word, can't see me using it in RL though)

LackaDAISYcal · 03/05/2009 22:17

not a girl guide.......just had a spark of inspiration; although if we hadn't had a dispo in the bag I wouldn't have used my lovely cloth nappies and put up with an uncomfortable wodge of loo paper till we got home!!

I have had pain and numbness in my wrist/hands today as well as a leg that feels really cold.....would this be a symptom of sciatica?

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 03/05/2009 22:18

aw ria....I am a RL friend; just one that lives a few miles away

OP posts:
Rialentless · 03/05/2009 22:31

I'm not sure about that daisy. I have shooting pains down my leg, and numb heels. It fecking hurts though! and I'm glad it's gone but live in fear.

have just (finally) done my life insurance application. goodness knows what they'll make of a seriously overweight person with mental health issues who drinks far too much needless to say I didn't bother applying to the company I used to work for.

TheNatty · 03/05/2009 23:11

i dont know what my back is, not mentioned it to a doctor yet, im just putting up with it, as i only have another 10 weeks to go any referrals would take that long.
my pelvis pain is random, but not hugely bad.

the thing causing me the most problems (..TMI alert) is my fanjo, constantly feels like its going to fall out. (iuswim) and gets very swollen if im on my feet to much in the day.

very very odd.

my friend reckons its a prolapse or somthing.

must get to the midwife, my docs are crap at anytthing fanjo wise.

sorry that DHs are working the bank holiday weekend thats a bit shitty

i want to take my kids out tomorrow, but i dont know how im going to feel till i get up, ive got a new memo foam topper to try and help my back so fingers crossed.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/05/2009 08:22

Ihope that's not sure about my possible sciatica, and not not sure about me being a RL friend

natty, I have a partial prolapse and felt that dropping fanjo thing towards the end with DS2. Mine isn't serious enough to warrant an operation though and is getting better with pelvic floor exercises.

I need a head to toe MOT I think.

typical bank holiday weather here

I am in pain and miserable
DD has a streaming cold and is miserable
Bumble is frustrated that he can't sit up properly and is miserable
DS1's default state is miserable

fun and games

Rialentless · 04/05/2009 08:39

I did mean sciatica. sorry. Of course you're my friend (even if I'm too pathetically nervy to actually anyone in RL unless I have to on the school run - still waiting on another BUPA appt though, and hoping to make it to Temple Newsham sometime)

trying to rain here too. Need it to be sunny as am trying to get fleeces washed and sleeping bags aired so my parents can take them to the caravan tonight, ready for half term

waiting for DH to get home and then I'm cooking breakfast.

hope things gets better for you daisy. there's nothing worse than a miserable bank holiday.

Rialentless · 04/05/2009 08:42

here's a joke to cheer up DS1 -

it's international Star Wars day (May the fourth be with you...) DS1s teacher told him that when he was abput your DS1s age - he loved him forever! (and I wasn't opposed to him myself, apart from him not getting on with DS1)

LackaDAISYcal · 04/05/2009 09:12

he doesn't get it Ria.......plays on words and irony are lost on him still!

Morning!

Jammy that climbing frame looks fab! We've just got one of these and a toddler trampoline for our allotment. I got them both from a bloke at work of a tenner!

DH and I went shopping yesterday with money to burn from my birthday and DH's settlement. We went to Cribbs and reminded me of Foxy when we met there last year Anyway I did pitifully bad as I always do when I have money. I bought some cropped trousers from Dorothy Perkins and 10 minutes before the shops shut I bought these from John Lewis. I'm popping into town again today as I need a new handbag for NY next week as my last Primark jobbie is falling apart.

Rialentless · 04/05/2009 09:48

nice shoes bumper.

DS1 didn't think it was funny this year, but he still believes that there is some truth in it

LackaDAISYcal · 04/05/2009 09:48

NY next week bumper ....are you excited?

I have taken some co-codamol and am so spaced out now I doubt that I should be in charge of children....I just want to go to sleep.

We are having a duvet movie day.

OP posts:
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 04/05/2009 11:21

Nice shoes Bumper. And it is a fab climbing frame. There is one at our children's centre too, so I know she likes it. Still time to bid on others though

Was digging in the garden but is raining now

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 04/05/2009 11:23

And ouch and for bad backs, pelvises (pelvii?) sciatica, and fanjo issues.

TheNatty · 04/05/2009 13:07

gosh what a night last night.
DH saw a feild mouse in the kitchen, now he wont sleep. says we have to get a cat, which is typical cos this time of year is when they cost like 100 quid!
cant find any locally, so gonna try a shelter and hope for the best.

my life is just one long drama atm, i long for a duvet day! very daisy! hope your back goes off soon.

LittleMissNorty · 04/05/2009 13:47

Isn't a mouse trap cheaper Natty?

My DS is 13 weeks today and I've just taken another pg test.....negative .....wtf is going on?

Sputnik · 04/05/2009 14:03

Nice shoes Bumper. New York, how exciting! If you get the chance I recommend the boat trip round Manhattan Island. you save your feet and the guide when we did it was really full of info.
