JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 02/05/2009 18:35

Sorry Ria

Awake being rudely awakened, Jamlet was tucked up back into bed by 6.20. She was really worn out bless her. Had been quite a fun-packed day for her (pet shop, tesco, giant poop, playing in the garden...). Oh, I meant to say earlier that DH also made tea Liver and bacon for him & jamlet, just bacon for me, and mash and beans all round

Laundry mountain to sort out tonight. But thankfully no ironing, just because I don't

LackaDAISYcal · 02/05/2009 21:37

photos fab jammy; she is looking so grown up and really cute

we have been in the garden as well....with chainsaw and chipping machine. The 50 year old magnolia has gone , but we have regained a huge amount of garden that will house a shed and playhouse with decking surround.

yay for haircut natty and bargainacious keyboard ria

boo for arsey friends and absent DHs.....

....except mine who has gone fishing and is Out Of My Hair for a bit, leaving me free to book a long weekend in Scotland so I can see my family. I spoke to my Dsis today as it is nephew 3s 10th birthday (he was my little spud as a baby and used to come stay with me all the time before I had DS1 and I love him to bits) and I'm feeling really homesick. Possibly a local caravan park, but would I be nuts to go camping with three children and having to pitch a tent by myself?????

In a word Daisy, Yes.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 02/05/2009 21:45

Um, yes Daisy, I think you would be nuts.

She had such a good time in the garden. Which was fab as mostly until now she's not wanted to do much apart from sit with me/DH. But I gave her a trowel after she eyed up my big fork enviously, and she got stuck in which gave me a chance to do some work So now as long as she doesn't try to dig up the seeds we planted next time we're out there it will hopefully be fine.

Sputnik · 02/05/2009 21:48

Gorgeous Jamlet pics

Sputnik · 02/05/2009 21:53

We were gardening too. DS finally managed to plumet down the steps, he had a very bloody nose but that seems to be all, luckily. Our garden is so child hostile it's really a pain, I can't turn my back on him for a minute.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 02/05/2009 21:55

Thanks Sputnik.

And it's nice/interesting to hear that she looks grown up. We worry that she looks "babyish" especially compared to others of same/similar age. It does still worry me that she was so late with the walking and that the talking is still pretty non-existant too. I guess deep down I worry that maybe there will be a problem stemming from her prematureness.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 02/05/2009 21:58

She makes me laugh so much though. She's got this book "Copycat Animal Actions" where you spin a spinner and do the action it points to eg Tiptoe like a spider or Waddle like a penguin or pounce like a cat. She spins it, I do the action, she tries to copy me. But most of her actions involve shrugging her shoulders right up to her ears and waving her arms and she just looks SO funny

LackaDAISYcal · 02/05/2009 22:03

jammy, I'm sure she is fine. Have you chatted with your HV about your concerns? she might be able to put your mind at rest!

Yay...we aren't camping!!!! I have sent off for some info on cottages and caravans and am hoping that the big caravan site in the next village along the coast will have availability. It has an on site leisure centre and restuarant and is right next to a beautiful big sandy bay and the hotel we were married in. Can't wait

bless jammy sounds lovely. How prem was she?(sorry I forget) I am off to look at pics in a minute. My lovely friend told me the other day that baggins is like Father Jack. True, he does shout random words at you (mainly choc-lat, shoe, socks on). I'm sure she would be offended if I told her what I think about her DS.

daisy you would be fecking crackers, don't do it!!! could you get a stactic and have your nephew to stay with you (to help of course)

hi sputnik. baggins was trying to climb over the stairgate on the kitchen tonight and fell over it and landed on his nose. No blood thankfully. Hope DS is OK.

Sputnik · 02/05/2009 22:10

My DS is pretty baby-faced still, and not talking either. He'll get there. DD was the same and now we can't shut her up

LackaDAISYcal · 02/05/2009 22:22

I didn't talk until I was three apparently! you'd never figure that now

looking at a static caravan ria, and may have both boys stay the night....that will be fun

ouch for your DSs ria and sputnik. DD fell in our not very child friendly garden and cracked her head last weekend and got a huge egg on it....she is still bleating about it today!

she wouldn't go to bed tonight and I had to keep going up....last time I did she had been trying on clothes and was wearing two vests and two tshirts around her neck and both legs were in the same leg of her pj shorts!!

LittleMissNorty · 02/05/2009 22:28

Quick hello from me ....been watching 100 greatest stand-ups on E4...very good...but footie on now

Braved IKEA today....it was empty and I even managed to park in a P&B spot!! Went for a £120 bookcase and spent over £400 ...not quite sure what happened there, but got 2 cars full of staff! They are doing easels there for £12.71, huge paper rolls to fit for £2.99 and 12 chalks for t'other side for 99p! Bargain

DD done her fisrt wee in potty yesterday...more by luck than judgement but still got lots of clapping and cheering and a ITNG sticker to stick onto the side of her potty

Ria - the mum who you linked to on YouTube is a MNetter

LittleMissNorty · 02/05/2009 22:29

Jammy.....she won't look baby-faced when you have another ....makes them look VERY grown up

Rialentless · 02/05/2009 22:33

I didn't know that Norty, it was on my homepage and the name just made me . Who is she? (the other day I was folowing a link froma thread and either DS1/2 said "mummy. are you looking at something on youtube?) (I tell them I do not approve, not that my opinion makes any difference on DHs watch)

we usually watch those top 100 shows, but DH has developed a thing for those murder programmes where a slighlty different murder happens in the same area of woodland in America every sodding night. The Mentalist tonight apparently. If I screw my eyes up he looks like Sean Pertwee but other than that it's no different to what we watched last night (CSI somewhere), and the night before (no idea)...

LittleMissNorty · 02/05/2009 22:38

here Ria

right, off to dreamfeed then sleep I hope!

night x

Rialentless · 02/05/2009 22:53

thanks norty. AM glad DH didn't have to deliver any of ours!

sleep well.

Rialentless · 02/05/2009 23:03

oh jpy, now we're watching 2 immortals have a fight/
Probably the only good thing (other than no sex) about when DH is away is that I don't have to watch absolute shite if I don't want to (and most nights don't even put the TV on after Cbeebies has finished/S2 has watched Timothy goes to School, and so end up missing anything I would have watched!)

Rialentless · 03/05/2009 07:47

it's a miserable looking sort of day today, might have to alter our plans, maybe the sun will come out when it's ready.

LackaDAISYcal · 03/05/2009 10:12

If you stay at home the sun will come out Ria...so I'd go ahead with whatever you were planning anyway, and if it rains it rains!

It's lovely and sunny here, but I'm sure it'll change later....so we are going to try and get out as soon as possible, but DD is a misery guts this morning and has been put back to bed as she has been up since 5.30!

OP posts:
Rialentless · 03/05/2009 13:00

so true daisy, it has. So the others are out in the garden, and I'll go about my business in the house as normal.

DH had a lie-in and when he got up I put baggins in the bath and he put the Wii on, so I went back to bed. He has to work at 4pm anyway(so much for the weekend off, so a good thing we aren't in the Dales), so by the time I'd got everyone ready and made the picnic, and he'd played Wii and had his bathj, there wouldn't have been much point going anywhere. We were going to either a National Trust place or a kite festival.

But tomorrow there is a completely free Woodland festival, with diversification and sustainablility fair on, so lets keep everything crossed for a fine day as I really want to go to that

hope everyone has a nice day.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 03/05/2009 13:20

Ooooh hope you get your day out tomrrow Ria. That sounds nice.

Sunny spells on and off here, and it's nice in the sun (when it's out) but otherwise a bit chilly. And sunny spells getting more sparse as time goes on. Haven't done much so far (other than me going for an early swim [shines halo]). Jamlet now napping, hopefully going to garden centre/childrens farm/play area/farm shop/tea room place later to look at greenhouses and animals. Big excitement though is bidding on a climbing frame thing on ebay for jamlet. Fingers crossed!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 03/05/2009 13:39

Bah! Outbid at the last minute! Was bidding on one of these but we were just a little bit too cautious

Rialentless · 03/05/2009 15:41

shame you were outbid jammy. DH has taken the big ladder and monkey bars off our climbing frame today - my nerves aren't quite up to baggins walking along the top of the monkey bars

been to tesco and lined their pockets with far more of my money than I would have liked. The boys are having cou cous and kofta kebabs for tea, with carrot sticks, hounous and pitta bread. I am having a treat later, regardless of whether DH stays over at work or not.

TheNatty · 03/05/2009 18:49

evening all
the weather has been on and off here, managed to pop to the shops, but back and pevis so bad now, i am going to have to do the food shop online this week, no chance walking half hour there and half hour back.

how is everyone this evening
