Yes my big sister irons teatowels

I REALLY cannot see the point - not when they find their way back into the wash pile after 2 days!

Same as bedsheets - I launder them once a week, ironing them is an overhead I can do without!

LittleMissNorty · 27/04/2009 14:55

Oh I don't even send sheets or tea towels out

Actually Ria, I pay £9 an hour for my ironing. My dog walker is £8 an hour.

God, I can't believe anyone actually enjoys ironing

I've just been giving DS a cuddle and my god, he can fart like a proper man....DD can't fart like he does and she has 20 months on him....must be a bloke thing....like father, like son I spose. Now I know why I can never get a burp out of him

Rialentless · 27/04/2009 15:21

lol Norty. My niece is a top farter and she always pretends it wasn't her.

Dh has gone to collect DS2. It's raining and dull. I feel like poo - is it possible to develop a reaction/allergy to paracetmol. Have had some and feel sick, tired and dizzy again.

FrazzledFairyFay · 27/04/2009 15:42

andiem, if you are still lurking on here, pls text me. I wanted to suggest a trip to Wisley, but have lost your mobile number so can't text you

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 27/04/2009 18:21

Love the penguin update Thanks Norty

Hardly iron anything here and The occasional shirt or blouse and a linen type dress I own and that's about it!

TheNatty · 27/04/2009 19:31

no i never iron anything. only shirts and shirt dresses. and quite often of something looks like it might need ironing i wont buy it..
i just dont have the time, or the energy. that and im a lazy slob.

hope you dont loose internet for long daisy, tho i agree a few days without it can help housework to end! ive had a few weeks where i have been leaving the laptop upstairs by mistake, and i just cannot face the stairs. so i dont mn half as much lol!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 27/04/2009 20:13

I feel a little bit giddy. I have just given blood DH is making bakies & beans & cheese for dinner though

Rialentless · 27/04/2009 22:29

penguingate is getting better (thanks for linking Norty)

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/04/2009 08:29

Am at home for the first part of the morning as I have a doc's appointment to get fitted for a diaphragm. Not looking forward to it (the fitting, once I get the diaphragm all should be fine, I used it for years before having jamlet) but am looking forward to stopping with the pill. Am meant to be working, but having network access problems so am waiting for my boss to email a file so I can do some work.

Rialentless · 28/04/2009 09:25

hi jammy.

feeling rough here still but don't want to take any paracetamol in case I feel worse again DH said I should have some in an hour, then go to bed for an hour before I go to work (year 3 today, and it's wet playtime)

am also verging on panic today as it's our first secondary school parents evening, and DS1 will find outif he's been picked for the team for the cricket match on Thursday. Am very nervy indeed

LackaDAISYcal · 28/04/2009 10:26

I hope you feel better soon Ria. Can you take ibuprofen and see if that helps?

Good vibes for tonight and fingers crossed DS1 gets picked for the team.

Think thoughts of sunny far flung places jammy, it'll be over before you know it.

Am off out today; friends for lunch and then stay and play.....will that laundry ever get put away? Maybe if I just get all the new loads away and just use the backlog as a sort of middle of the floor horizontal wardrobe?

Rialentless · 28/04/2009 10:59

lol daisy. have a nice lunch.

I've just had a grilled fry-up to set me up for lunchtime. Might pop in to the chemist for some ibuprofen on the way home, hadn't thought of that.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/04/2009 12:23

Hope you feel better soon Ria (you've got me singing "lets all meet up in the year 2000" on continuous loop in my head now, by the way)

And hope you have a fabby lunch Daisy. The washing will still be there tomorrow!

Fitting was fine. Just hope I can remember how to use the bloody thing now! And yesterday we found that some of jamlet's friends have moved up a room at nursery. I was too scared to ask why she hadn't, but DH did this morning. She's on the list to move apparently but they are waiting a bit as although she is physically ready they don't think she is emotionally ready

Rialentless · 28/04/2009 13:23

took 1 ibuprofen, it's helped a bit. Am now cold and wet and my ears are ringing. The little poppets were hyper and decided to have a screaming competition. I can't understand why I still have this urge to be a teacher

DH has run me a hot bath

HellHathNoFury · 28/04/2009 14:26

GBK is amazing.

And that is all I have to say.

FrazzledFairyFay · 28/04/2009 18:03

What's GBK?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/04/2009 18:16

GlaxoBrownKline?

Ohforfoxsake · 28/04/2009 18:41

Gourmet Burger Kitchen

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 28/04/2009 19:32

Ah, she's right - they are good!

HellHathNoFury · 28/04/2009 19:36

Oh baby

bring me that veggie burger, and I will be yours, forever

FrazzledFairyFay · 28/04/2009 19:49

Ahhhhhh, now i understand

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 28/04/2009 20:05

Thanks fury, I'd never heard of them before, but now all I can think about is a butternut squash burger! It sounds delish!

Isn't football boring? Esp when it's two random teams I have no interest in whatsoever? Dullsville.

Hi everyone!

FrazzledFairyFay · 28/04/2009 20:07

Hello Holly, where've you been hiding?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 28/04/2009 20:09

I a hole, a very deep one with no noise and no children or men. Just me and a good book...I wish!
