you'd think after 33 threads we'd have all the answers by now.

WTF! Leave it to me to screw up the spelling in the thread title.

Ya'll I feel asleep PARKED in my truck today. Reese was asleep in her car seat in the back. Kinsley was in school...I was in the parking lot waiting to pick her up. Anyway, I woke up and couldn't see. I panicked. Everything was blurry. Then it hit me...my glasses weren't on my face. Then I panicked some more because I couldn't see to find my glasses. Seems in my dozed state I took them off and dropped them between the seat and the door.

May I have the Lost It crown now?

TS was it not a public holiday where you are?

DD had risotto balls for dinner tonight and them I left her and Dh with a punnet of raspberries whilst I hung out washing, I returned to the scene of a murder or at least that is what it looked like. He also left on her lovely, beautiful white white gypsy top I bought last week! She is all freshly scrubbed and clean and in her bed

I got our appointment for our 8 month check I can't believe we are here already!

CaptainCaveman · 13/04/2009 20:29

thanks for new thread TS . ta-da Here is your lost it crown.

ds2 is suspiciously spotty on his tummy and back...am off to google chicken pox. ds1 has never had them

dizzychixies · 13/04/2009 20:47

oh FFS, a girl goes away on holiday and comes back to find you've all moved without a forwarding address

be back in a week once I've caught up!

SibhmusHeaneyis70 · 13/04/2009 20:57

And I've finally caught up too. Blardy hell you girls can talk.

As memory serves Buckets has a freckly bum, Albs finds Holy week hell, VG and her niece had birthdays and share them with my DS1 who was six, and my newest nephew, who was born on Tuesday too. They settled on Seán Patrick which is a rather lovely name I think.

The migraines seem to be easing a bit hear and have had the miraculous effect of making my entire family run round after me. This is not a bad thing, but it's unnerving. DS had his birthday party on Tuesday, so I was cake making (the fecking digital scales give out annually at 9pm on his birthday eve) and breaking up fights , none with DS in though.

He lost his saintly crown by experimenting with some hardcore lying in the days that followed though. He has also been trying out faces like this about 8 years too early .

DD2 is so lovely but has thrown up everything she has eaten for the last day or two, and is surviving on BM. She is much happier though so hopefully on the mend. I've got to run again as I've forgotten dinner. Back in the loop now though, so love to all

dizzychixies · 13/04/2009 21:16

sibh delighted to hear your resultsm shall uncross my fingers now

sazz hope all feeling better again

callie welcome and sorry for shortening your name in such a familiar fashion so soon but I'm just back from hols and am shattered, was in Ireland is thats any excuse?!

TS lovely (clean ) kitchen but may I admit loving Reese's outfit more?!?

No1 glad holiday went well and sorry about your photos

pertelote delighted that M continues to do well

steaky can't say anything more useful than the rest but hope you're doing ok, shall keep my fingers crossed that the flightes to Carcassone fall dramatically in price between now and July so I can come over and meet you

pf glad the mini-meet with Sazz went well, did you get a word in edgeways

hugs to all else, shall admit to skim reading as am pooped sorry!

SibhmusHeaneyis70 · 13/04/2009 21:27

Ooh, and a cheeky quick question while it's quiet. DH has painted DS's room with Farrow and Ball's parma gray and he has oaky furniture, and a big window. There'll be a rocket transfer on the wall a la this. Prob. navy as he wants navy, red and yellowy/citrine bits in his room, though all modifications to this plan would be considered... By me at least. DS is a fecking mini-style] guru

DH wants to pick a carpet tomorrow. But what colour? I hate being rushed. [Note: to DH if you ever read this. Six months to think can count as rushing from Sibh's point of view]

SibhmusHeaneyis70 · 13/04/2009 21:28

thanks for all the finger crossing Dizzy.
Fab to know that you are back safe

Is that a whiff of arnica I pick up around the thread?

dizzychixies · 13/04/2009 21:36

ok, are you sitting comfortably?!?

trip went well, managed not to be demented at PIL's and the girls enjoyed themselves. headed down south where we found our self catering to be absolutely BRILLIANT, more than we could have hoped for (will post photos on facebook if anyone wants a peek)

did loads with the kids but mainly let them run riot outside when the weather was good had a lovely visit with the lovely VG I had first date nerves, Sazzles eased them by making fun of me by text and it was as relaxed as I'd hoped it would be. The boys are just gorgeous and E smelled divine DH was very taken with her and how nicely spoken she was - he's used to my charmless swearing Scots gibberish

stayed a few days at the farm, which was brilliant and the girls never want to be away from the place! I had a serious depressed/overtired/whoremental strop yesterday which was dealt with efficiently by my family and forgotten about by today - shall be taking myself off to the Dr this week for some happy pills I think

am too tired for anything other than drivel but shall attempt a better effort tomorrow am looking forward to the familiarity of being back in my own bed and back on the thread tbh

hotcrosspotter · 13/04/2009 21:38

Cailleachna welcome

Dizzy welcome home hope you've had a fab time

Sibh so glad you're starting to feel better . No idea on carpet colour but DS room sounds fab

CC hope it's something innocuous [fingerscrossed]

Oops you were moaning about having your DH home for the weekend, mine has been at home for six months Am going to make a concerted effort to get him another job next week. It's a good job we get on so well...

TS hope you're feeling better now, and DD2 is as well.

Well I have ironed my shirt and written my notes, my interview is at 2.30 tomorrow I am bricking it already but have done my prep and just hope they are kind to me. Please all you fabulous August ladies think Assistant Business Continuity Manager thoughts for me tomorrow afternoon!

oopsacoconut · 13/04/2009 21:41

WE MISSED YOU x 10

oopsacoconut · 13/04/2009 21:42

HP - you will be an ABC Manager

dizzychixies · 13/04/2009 21:43

hotter? interview? is this for your job again all I can say is Rescue Remedy and remember, you're there to interview them to see why you should want to work there, shall transfer sibh's crossed fingers over to you for tomorrow

sibh am a big fan of natural carpets in areas which aren't heavy usage if that makes sense? shall see if I can find a link to what I mean

dizzychixies · 13/04/2009 21:44

thank you oops its nice to be missed

dizzychixies · 13/04/2009 21:45

nice blue wool cord carpet here this is actually in a blue colour where I meant a more natural colour but its nice!

cyteen · 13/04/2009 21:46

Wotcha

My pedantry gland must be out of action; where is this spelling mistake of which you speak, TS?

dizzychixies · 13/04/2009 21:47

THROUGH the night Cyteen instead of though the night

cyteen · 13/04/2009 21:48

I blame my contact lenses.

hotcrosspotter · 13/04/2009 21:48

LOL Oops! I had never noticed that before

Dizzy yes 'tis my own job I'm after, thank you for fingers crossed. At least it'll be all over tomorrow and I can finally stop worrying about it and enjoy my last few weeks of maternity leave. Sounds like you had a lovely holiday, but there's nothing like your own bed

SibhmusHeaneyis70 · 13/04/2009 21:49

My head is spinning ... Oops I will be singing that for a week.

I was going with a kind of goldeny oatmealy kind of colour Dizzy - does that sound ok? I think my namesake might be a bit at my made up words this evening.

ABC thoughts duly offered up Hotter.

oopsacoconut · 13/04/2009 21:50

HP - It's not that he is home as such but that he feels the need to wash the floor when DD is yelling and I'm in the loo, or build shelves in the shed when I want him to come and play with/read to DD and just use some initiative when it somes to DD and not hand her back when she needs changing. I really do love him but he is extra stressy as he has a big sale on Saturday and the world and his wife want a piece of him and before now he could just hide in his office and ignore me which I understood but I feel he can't ignore DD just because he is stressy. oops, sorry for the long essay answer. And if he asks once more for a to ease his stress I WILL kill him

Dizzy - stops are perfectly allowed towards the end of the holiday - without any reason necessary.

SIBH - happy to hear you are feeling a little better. Lying at this age is very normal although very frustrating, they turn into teenagers too quickly these days

oopsacoconut · 13/04/2009 21:50

Dizzy - or STROPS even although you can stop too

SKYTVADDICT · 13/04/2009 21:52

I just read the thread title about 8 months and not sleeping through yet! I thought - ooh that is us, then I realised it is you lot - ha ha ha !

Just popping in to say hello. Lewis doing really well (other than not sleeping through), life extremely busy in the sky household but will keep popping in to say hi sometimes.

Stopped bf a couple of weeks ago and he is fully weaned on mush - must try harder on that front as his 23 month old brother has now turned into a really fussy eater and I don't want another one on my hands!

Been made redundant so not going back to work yet but not really complaining.

dizzychixies · 13/04/2009 21:53

sibh golden oatmealy colour was exactly what I was looking for when I stumbled upon the pale blue - sounds just fine

oops thank you, was feeling rather pathetically sorry for myself and the fact that Dylan had been up till 4am hadn't helped - wee lamb has coughy/croupy/sniffeling thing going on which didn't help

and your DH sounds like he's displaying classic avoidance tactics there
