Here we go then

roll up, roll up for the six month food fest.

Better night here, only two feeds at 1ish and 5ish, but at one point bumble was having a real chat to his blankie. DH was on the sofa and said he couldn't figure out who was talking and thought it was DD until he heard me say "shut up bumble". I have no recollection of it

We've given up with the porridge for a bit as it might have been that upsetting his tummy. He's certainly more cheerful now it's cleared his system.

suiledonn there was no one on the first page with pics of kids (but you might come up first in your search as you know you IYSWIM?) but I have found one and invited her to be my friend (how sad does that sound, ha ha) so hope its you!

suiledonn · 14/04/2009 22:08

Yes. That's me. Now I wish I had uploaded some more flattering pics!

PinkyMinxy · 14/04/2009 22:13

Sorry Suiledonn, was shopping for nappies

I'm stil not sure what size to get of the itti's.

Large goes from 23lb. Oh I'll just order some medium and see if they fit.

Please can someone recommend Suiledonn to me on FB

AFingerofFudge · 14/04/2009 22:21

ooh, there's lots of cute looking nappies to choose from. Maybe I'll get a trial one of each.

grrr. We are a house of Liverpool fans,(well, I have been a Derby supporter all my life but as a family we all go for Liverpool IYSWIM) and have been glued to the telly all evening. Sniff, not so happy now. Glad there are other footy fans on here, though won't neccessarily want to talk to you if you support Chelsea!!

suiledonn · 14/04/2009 22:21

Thanks Pinky, I'm glad I didn't go down the reuseables route. They all look so cute I don't think the bank balance could take it.

Sorry for the impatience everyone. I just got a bit excited about having friends on Facebook who aren't family members.

Emmanj · 14/04/2009 22:25

If you join the FB group you can see everyone else suiledonn, think it was chocgal who sent me the group invite, then you can see who's who!
x

suiledonn · 14/04/2009 22:28

I think I joined the group but now I can't find it. I am not good with Facebook

LackaDAISYcal · 14/04/2009 22:30

pinky, nappyzone says that large will fot from 9kg on more well padded babies!!

Emmanj · 14/04/2009 22:31

suiledonn type 'MN due' into the search bar on the top right of Home page on FB and it should come up. I couldnt find it either and this is the way i go to it!

suiledonn · 14/04/2009 22:31

I found it! Think I hear dd though so might not get a chance to have a good look tonight.

PinkyMinxy · 14/04/2009 22:35

Suiledonn the groups button is on the bottom toolbar- two little heaD and shoulders figures.

I dunno about the nappies. Even with my slight buying habit I think I've pr prolly spent less on my three than sposies would cost for one child. washing included.

Fudge I have just bought 3 ittis to try, with extra boosters. I got red, chocolate and midnight, they look v.cute, can't wait [saddo emoticon]

PinkyMinxy · 14/04/2009 22:36

Oh b*ger lack I've just ordered the medium. Do you think I should change it?

LackaDAISYcal · 14/04/2009 22:37

found you suiledonn...either that or dozy and choc have befriended a random stranger

This will teach me not to get my baby weighed. I have NO IDEA what she weighs

chocolategal · 14/04/2009 22:40

I've requested you too suiledon

Off to bed, wishing everyone sleepy nights

suiledonn · 14/04/2009 22:46

Pinky I sometimes weigh dd at home by weighing DH holding her on the bathroom scales and then weigh him without her and doing the calculation. Not very exact but it would give you a rough idea.

Of course you could always do the holding yourself but you need another person to read the display while you stand still and DH doesn't know how much I weigh

AFingerofFudge · 14/04/2009 22:46

What's the best website to order a selection of nappies from?

Heartmum2Jamie · 14/04/2009 22:46

Pinky, do you have a wii fit or even bathroom scales? You could weigh yourself first and then weight yourself again holding your dd to get her rough weight. That's what I do in between going to clinic.

I was going to go for the large itti's but only because we prefer a slightly bigger rise, but he only weighs 16lb 5 as of last week, so not sure if I should order 1 med & 2 large or what. Hmmm, decisions, decisions!

LackaDAISYcal · 14/04/2009 22:51

Depends on just how chunky she is pinky, but nappyzone's site says medium go up to 12kg, so that's about 25lbs. DD weighs about 12kg now and she is nearly 2!

OP posts:
PinkyMinxy · 14/04/2009 22:53

Ok will try to weigh her on the bathroom scales (they are actually my cellar laundry weighing scales- I don't weigh myself. )

That NappyZOne looks good. I just ordered mine from kittykins.co.uk, becuae they had the colours I wanted. They are pretty good, IME

LackaDAISYcal · 14/04/2009 22:53

fudge, if you look in classified there are a couple of adverts from regular MNers. I've ordered from both of them and they are very reliable and give great advice as well.

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 14/04/2009 22:55

nappyzone is one of the MNers. I ordered from her on Friday and they arrived today. Not bad given it was a holiday weekend

not had a peep out of bumble since I put him in his sleeping bag......now i'm worried that he is too hot

OP posts:
AFingerofFudge · 14/04/2009 23:06

I wouldn't be worried about it too much lacks. I'm worried about our M being too hot. He has on a vest, sleepsuit and a 2.5 tog grobag. On top of that he has one layer cellular blanket. It is 19 degrees in the room. Check he doesn't look flushed or is sweaty at the back of his neck. M has been sleeping with this kind of set up since he was born, and he's never looked too hot when he's woken during the night.

PinkyMinxy · 14/04/2009 23:19

yup you see, DS was 20lb at this point! But I don't think mimi is so big. I think the medium will be ok.

Just had to quell her rumblings with some boob- she is so snuffly at the mo.
