Ha ha !! YES! I am with you on that one CSWS! I wore an underwire bra the other day, it was amazing! I had a shape instead of my boobs blending into my stomach/waist. I have mine pulled up so high that they carve big grooves in my shoulders, but still don't hold my boobs up!

Ha ha! Dp has just reminded me that he owes me a little shopping trip from my birthday which was very soon after ds was born and he was in too much of a daze to get me anything.

I know exactly what you mean about bras CSWS. I've got loads of gorgeous ones all packed away in the back of the wardrobe, unwearable, while I'm in a greying Bravado number.

Oh and MM, I meant to say thanks for the Conchords link. I was watching the episode the other night where they sing that 1960's French song. Tres amusant.

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/04/2009 21:32

I think that if you link to an old message then it works properly if you are not using pages to view the thread (I don't use pages), but if you have pages then it just takes you to right thread but wrong place.

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/04/2009 21:37

Right, I have to have an early night, as ds has been sleeping terribly. If I go up now then I might just manage to get ready for bed before he has his first screaming fit of the night.

So, goodnight all!

i hate my clothes atm, so frumpy. i have loads of lovely summer clothes and i can't bf in any of them. gutted.
i did however treat myself to some lovely bras
this one is my fav.

Marthasmama · 14/04/2009 22:08

Very pretty heather. Doesn't go up to my cup size though !

ronshar · 15/04/2009 00:00

Just too add even though every one has probably gone to bed. I went to body pump tonight and then ran a mile. All in a lovely black feeding bra. I refuse to buy a sports bra as my breasts will become all crap and saggy soon enough and will then need a different size.
I miss my wires.

right bed time. William in his own room tonight. but also . He has already been up once.

star6 · 15/04/2009 08:21

what happens to breasts after bf is finished?? Do they get really awful and saggy?? Will the normal ones come back even after milk goes away?

I have no boobs no bum so jealous of yours myjob
I find I can bf in anything as long as I wear a vest top underneath - can pull the top of dresses down.

heather1980 · 15/04/2009 08:47

mine went saggy after dd but only because i went from a 34c to a 40dd and back again. this time i have gone from a 34c to a 34ff so i expect them to sag again. however i told dh that the money we are saving by not buying formula can pay to have them put back where they were

Marthasmama · 15/04/2009 08:50

Yup, when I'm done having babies I'm having mine put back. As an adult I have gone from a pre-pregnancy 34E to a bfing 36H back down to a 30DD and back up to a 34J! They'll be down by my knees once I stop bfing!

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/04/2009 08:57

Bfing has been proven not to be the cause of saggy boobs you know. I think that pregnancy is responsible for some of the changes though.

OP posts:
Marthasmama · 15/04/2009 09:03

Mine are saggy because of weight changes with pregnancy. If your boobs haven't changed that much in size you'll probably be ok. I think it is more to do with the volume of your boobs and the skin stretching than the bfing itself. Is that right oh wise CSWS?

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/04/2009 09:45

Wisdom here.

OP posts:
aubergenie · 15/04/2009 09:54

I read that somewhere too, CSWS. My mum's boobs were in pretty good shape, after BFing two children for a year each, but she's smaller than me.

Nice bra Heather. Alas too small for me too.

MM- I'd never heard of a school run dress until I joined Mumsnet. So, what would you get?

Until I get my wardrobe sorted, I'm thinking shoes might cheer me up. I've got my eye on these but I want them in green and I want them to be half the price as well! Not sure how practical they are when out and about in the park with the buggy.

aubergenie · 15/04/2009 10:02

Oh and Star - Do you manage to feed in public with a dress on? I'd be wary of pulling a dress down and revealing a vast expanse of white breast to the world. What do you do with the vest, pull it up or down?

ronshar · 15/04/2009 11:08

I too have informed DH that he made my breasts saggy, he can pay to unsag them.
I have gone up a size since my first pregnancy. 36B-36C. Although whenever I have been measured they always tell me a completly different size and the bras never fit very well. End up with lumpy four breast at the front. Never a good look at the best of times.

William not keen on new sleeping arrangements. I ended up falling asleep on the bed in his room eventually. Woke up at 5am to a massive thunder storm.

aubergenie · 15/04/2009 12:28

I'd much rather have smaller boobs, saggy or not Myjob.

That 4 breasted look is is definitely not a good one, is it Ronshar.

The only place I've found that actually measures well is Bravissimo. They're brilliant and don't even touch you or use a tape measure.
I think the problem most women make is to wear a bra that's too wide around the back and too small on the cup. I was in shock when they measured me, but I looked so much better in the new bra, people kept asking me if I'd lost weight. (All pre-baby)

star6 · 15/04/2009 13:52

aubergenie - I use the bebe au lait feeding cloth. It's amazing.
As for vest tops, I wear them under a shirt, pull the shirt up, and the top of hte vest down, over my breast, then open my bra and feed - but still use the cover for latching on and sometimes the whole feed in public. Never use the cover at home. In public it also helps to keep Q focused and not distracted. It's warm and cozy in there It's also a very thin material, so not to hot and stuffy!
