damn

Isaidno · 13/04/2009 08:11

Have a nice day out disney, pita about the af though. No af here but I am very blessed with quick, light pain free periods when they do eventually return.

Poppy has her 3rd tooth (a top one) nearly ready to come through. A month ago she had no teeth so they're coming through quite quick now.

at all the decorating; I love painting walls! Really need to do my bathroom, but will wait for warmer weather. Hall way / landing is also shabby, but that is too big a job for me; will have to get a man in.

DTDT - Happy birthday, and hope your family are all tip top soon x

Red - yes as a blwer I have had that mess from day one. Poppy is getting a bit cleaner, except now she carefully drops stuff she doesn't want over the side of her highchair.

Have decided to be a vegetarian from today. How do you manage SK with cooking for the rest of your family? Do you make seperate meals for yourself? Anyone else a veggie?

Have also been blogging; started it ages ago, but it fell by the wayside. Started it up again; it's just random thoughts and prob not very interesting, but it's here if anyone wants a nose!

hi all hope you are all having a relaxing Easter Monday, been to park and soft play here, will spend rest of the afternoon relaxing. Still very snotty around here and I have a very husky voice.

Disney - hope you have a good day out despite all your troubles

Isaidno - I thought you were joking about becoming veggie sorry. I end up cooking 3 different dinners a night at least, I have never cooked all the same food so for me it is normal IYSWIM. We all have such different tastes, sometimes I will much spag bol with Quorn mince and DP, DD2 and I will eat that but most of the time it's different dinners. B usually gets a puree of some sort then an assortment of finger foods and bits of my plate.

Dothisdothat - ouch sounds like you are having a hard time of it, sending you some healing vibes too xxx

Momma23 · 13/04/2009 15:22

4th try at posting!!! Message just keeps getting lost!

dothisdothat

Rumpel · 13/04/2009 15:44

Hi All,

DTDT - hope all went well with the hernia op and sending healing vibes to your bronchioles and all your family

SK - we went ot the park today too - thank goodness kids are on the mend and slept until 6.30am this morning - I was in bed at 8pm to make the most of it LOL.

Poor DH is still stuck at Aberdeen heliport - been there since 6.30am but the fog is too bad so looks like he may be spending another night in the hotel

ISAIDNO - health reasons or because of the animals? Good luck though.

DISNEY - enjoy your family day.

Hope the rest of you are all in good health and enjoying the weekend. Must go and collect washing in and make the most of DD and DS sleeping!

x

Rumpel · 13/04/2009 15:44

MOMMA - how is your studying going - got exams next month?

Isaidno · 13/04/2009 16:31

Rumpel - health reasons really, also to save some money. I'm just not that bothered about meat. Tonight I am having chickpea, lentil and spinach curry, DH is having lamb curry (yesterday's leftover meat added to the base of my dinner) and dc are having sausage, beans and nan bread. I do not intend to cook 3 dinners every night though.

Momma23 · 13/04/2009 21:47

Rumpel
You have a great memory, not going great. I have taken to much on but i will be going to classes come september. I dont have the time at all to study at home. But i started and i have to finish, it just may take a little longer than planned. Cause i REALLY want to go back to work once girls start school.

disneystar · 13/04/2009 22:59

hi guys had a great day out but way too far for a day trip we got home gone 9pm.

next time we will stay in the hotel there, didnt realise it was such a big place and didnt get to do much at all.
i only went on charlie and the choc factory ride.....felt so unwell all day terrible stomach ache and dashing to the loo to check.... every ten mins....

samuel all out of routine here slept in the car and is being a right monkey right this minute. His latest game is copy me he says a sound and i have to copy high and low sounds giggles/grunts he keeps it up for ages.

isaidno im a veggie
i do not cook 3 meals everynight here
they know we all have different tastes and some nights its ones favourite and maybe the next night it may be another ones fav...
i usually have theme nights once a week
eg mexican, spanish nights things like that.
gets them into the spirit of things a few banners silly hats (sombrero,s)
we have our organic veg delivered this time of year ( i grow our own organic as well)
and steamed veg or veggie lasagne is a good one, lentils really pad out the meal as well.
if i cook from scratch it costs next to nothing.
but also lovely to have a night off or an easy night once in a while....we deserve it dont we do enough.
isadno my hallway is a bit grubby now
my house is now 2 years old and has the little hand prints down the stairs. too bigger job for me too.thats dh,s department.

Hope all the snotty noses are under control, DD3 has calmed down thank god. She just hates having her nose wiped and it was a struggle to even do it.

Momma23 · 14/04/2009 09:07

Disney
If we do something like that i need 2 days to gather myself together. It take alot out of you esp with AF. A nice lazy day is well in order for you.

disneystar · 14/04/2009 12:00

you guys will know what i mean here
you know when youve had a baby and you get up for the first time you get that raw sicky feeling in your tummy like oh so sensitive
i feel like that now.

Rumpel · 14/04/2009 14:27

Hi all,

MOMMA - I remember as I know how hard it is to try and study with littlies - are they at nursery at all? It is so hard to get into the mind set to focus enough to study especially when you have a messy house, washing needing done etc etc.

DISNEy - are you saying you think you have had a mc? Do you not think it could be the fact that you are older and have had so many bubbas - periods tend to get heavier and more difficult after lots of kids and also as you will be approaching peri-menopause and need a hysterectomy - is it fibroids you have? Fibroids can cause very heavy periods and yes of course you will be anaemic if you are bleeding heavily when AF ing. Lots of spinach and iron supplements if you are a veggie - you will need the xtra.

Got my fish tank wate tested - turns out it is the live plants! causing too much phosperous in the water.

DH made it onto the rig today after sepnding all day bank holiday waiting at the heliport.

Bought the kiddies a swing today at Dobbies - there I was shoving the buggy, and pushing this boxed swing towards the counter and do you know it was only when I got to about 4 foot of the counter someone offered to help - all these men were walking past and everything - how rude. I'd never have done that.

Poor Cal still has vinegar korma bum my God it's rank! Poor wee soul. DD is on the mend now and was and at her first easter egg.

We rae off to see Dh's folks at Breahead on Friday - they haven't seen em since December. SK will you be around it would be nice to meet you sometime? Do you do Braehead or wher do you go?

DTDT - hope you are all on the mend.

PUDDINGCHEF - anyone heard how she is?

Take care all
xxx

TheRedSalamander · 14/04/2009 15:00

Just wrote a chatty post and lost it! Pooh. Upshot was- being woken every hour at night now, sleeping completely fooked can only get him off to sleep in the day in the buggy/car- rocking/boob doesn't cut it any more

Wondering where our lost July-ers are- Tjuice, Libralady, libra1975, CilC, smudge, hubarb, Riaparkinson/otter/Butterfly, shortshafe, hatrick, purplejennyrose, cass, and so many more, plus lots of people we've not heard from since pregnancy- if you bump into anyone on other threads ask them to pop in and say hello! (Or if you're lurking reveal yourselves!

Have a good day all.x

Poledra · 14/04/2009 15:08

Afternoon all. had a lovely holiday, took me ages last night to catch up on all your news and have now forgotten it all!!

Don't have much time now (need to get on with the dreaded unpacking, boo hiss). Orlaith is still waking through the night, but I have started going on boob strike, so she is getting a max of 1 feed through the night now and that's only if she really demands it. She's still coming into our bed though, and she always starts the night in her own cot. She's desperately trying to crawl but has only succeeded in going backwards once.

SK re B falling off the bed - I'm waiting for O to go through that particular rite of passage - both DDs 1 and 2 have done it (and we have a really high bed) and DD2 fell down the stairs at 1 year old.

Red, cass and smudge have posted in the last week or so, as I remember seeing them in my marathon catch-up last night, and I think the libras are back at work and probably struggling to find time to post. Would be lovely to hear from them though!

Off the hang out the next load of laundry sigh - I'm going to have shedloads of ironing to do.

sweetkitty · 14/04/2009 16:41

Hi all just a quick post inbetween putting the ironing away and starting dinner, am shattered today don't know why, still snotsville here. Madam was up 10.30pm and 1.30am lost count after that maybe another twice absolutely no chance in sleeping.
Like Orlaith she starts the night in her cot then comes in with us. Her sleeping is no better than when she was 3 months.

Feel sad today as I have got her 9-12 month clothes out and am putting her 6-9 month ones away, my baby is getting too big too fast.

poledra - glad you had a good hol

red salamander - hatrick has gone back to her old name of lockets and posts quite a bit, the others I am not to sure about I think libra1975 is now LibraBiscuitsofJustice or something, libralady posted a few weeks ago I think.

Rumpel - we tend not to go to Braehead that often as it's the wrong side of Glasgow for us so the Fort/Forge and city Centre is sctually closer. I've got the wee ones at nursery and a party on Friday but thank you for thinking of me it would be lovely to meet up I agree although I don't want your wee man chatting up my gorgeous girl I am also too much of a feartie to drive on the motorway

disney - I used to get very heavy periods and have large clots coming away too, they did make me anaemic, nowadays I always take a multivit with iron. My experience of mc was it was the most amount of bleeding and pain I had ever experienced far more than post birth bleeding sorry if TMI. I would go get checked out by your GP as ever Rumpel is spot on with ehr advice.

Momma23 - B is the same she even sees me coming with a wipe she goes off on one, I have been quite busy today listed a whole loads of things on ebay so I can buy my new pram and done a shedload of ironing am now about to put it away if I can get in the big two's room, bunk beds are a huge hit

Momma23 · 14/04/2009 16:54

Rumpel
No nursery home with me. Never have a min to myself so that is why i am going to start classes, plus i can get out of the house without DDs By the time all 3 are in bed i am fit to sleep myself so really its not going to happen at home.

Disney
Sorry no advice, could yu talk with GP?

Busy morning here did the park, tidy house (and still doing it) visited my mum, meet DP he needed a lift done that. Came home dinner on (Stew), made an apple tart, played with girls. All that is left is to have a nice cup of coffee and all of 2 mins to myself...

DoThisDoThat · 14/04/2009 19:51

Ooh Rumpel, poor Cal.

Disney, get better soon!

Well, DS1, who is actually called James, is doinf well. He had op at 8am yestarday, out by 9am and home at 2pm.

He's sore and walking a bit funny today and is very bored but doing okay. I feel so sorry for him. Don't want to tell him about the need to have it all done again in six months on the other side (oh yes, he has a hernia on BOTH sides)

DS2 is bored stupid too and doesn't understand why he can't kick ten bells out of his big brother.

Had a huge rainstorm on Sunday night. Found out our roof leaks.

Just hoping our luck gets a wee bit better soon!

Rumpel · 14/04/2009 20:33

Oh Gawd I've done the FB thing and am confused again!! Abigail (PIGLEY?) is gorgeous. Sent CILC a message. Momma are you on and if so what is your name?
DTDT are you and likewise? Can you all send me a message on FB if you get a min letting me know whos who 'cos I get really confused. When I do get a min to go on I just end up scratching me head LOL.
I know SK
DISNEY
CILC
I get Pigley and McCheesers a bit muddled - sorry.

It just takes ages to check out everyones photos and stuff!

DTDT - glad DS is well - sending you luck enhancing vibes - lifes like that - one thing after another.
MOMMA - where are the DCs going when you go back to class?

DISNEY were you not at the GPs last Tuesday for your piles? Did you not mention the heavy AF thing then? Also how are things with your DD and GC and did you hear how things worked out witht the poor wee kiddie you helped out? Did your Mum get back to you to thank you for the flowers and lovely gifts you sent for Mothers' Day?

Am toying with the idea of popping into this fabulously glam salon tomorrow for a chat. My hair is absolutley horrible now - it's reddish blond naturally but all the lustre and colour seems to have faded over the last 2 years and it hasn't been cut since beginning October Fancy a fab do but don't want to pay a fortune for it.

SK - I'll check out where th Forge etc are in relation to me and maybe meet up with you sometime - quite alot of women hate motorway driving. How are you getting on with your ADs and general anxiety (I remember you saying you had bad driving anxiety)? Mine is a bit bad again at the mo' - premental again. Looked out the agnus castus today and started taking it again - it really does help the PMT thing.

Right am off to catch up with Deperate Housewives. Called nursery and managed to get DD in Thursday as well as tomorrow - they were quiet and if you don't ask you don't get 'cos she missed last week and I need a break

Nite all
sleep tight little bubbas and all you little beggars disturbing your Mammies for boobies in the night - STOP!!!

xxxx

Poledra · 14/04/2009 20:41

I can make it easy for you Rumpel - I don't do FB so I'm not there .

Quick question - what cups are you using for your LO? I had Orlaith using a freeflow Tommy Tippee number and it was fine, but now she throws it about all over the place and creates a little lake on the floor. So, I got out the Avent magic cups and she refused point-blank to drink from that. Bought another valved cup with a soft spout and she turned her nose up at that too. She only wants to drink from the freeflow one but I can't take the floor-cleaning! Any ideas? (This is for her drink of water with her meals, BTW).

Momma23 · 14/04/2009 21:01

Rumpel
I have tried the FB thing and i just cant do it. Lost user name and password, will have another try again. What is you name on it.
Classes will be in the evening so DP will have them.

DTDT
Poor James havin to do it all again. Glad he is on the mend.

Off for my shower and in to bed with my book.. lots of ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzz Shhhhh hopefully.....

Isaidno · 14/04/2009 21:11

I'm Sharon Ronnie Harvey on FB.

poledra - Poppy likes to give herself a shower with her cup. She likes the doidy cup best (ie no lid at all!!) and is useless with any of the valved ones. I think I spent a small fortune in the past on useless cups.

Crisis here - the dishwasher has packed in (it is 12 years old) but crisis is only temp as just ordered a new one online. Bad news is washing up until Wednesday next week .

bebejones · 14/04/2009 21:19

Hey all, hope you all enjoyed Easter!

Disney - Alton Towers is fab, have very fond childhood memories of it, they used to do big firework displays for bonfire night & they were just magical. My grandparents used to have a caravan close by & it was brilliant! Shame about the AF. My mum used to suffer terribly pre menopause. (She is 49 this year) She was much better on the HRT, really helped control things & eased the pain for the last few she had before they stopped.

Rumpel - I am Lydia Jones on FB

Poledra - P has both sorts of Tomme Tippee cuts (valved & freeflow) she also much prefers the freeflow one to drink from. What I tend to do is flip the spout down when she is flinging it around & if she looks like actually wanting to drink I flip it out & help 'guide' the cup to her mouth.....she is getting better, slowly!!

DTDT - your poor DS, poor little lad!

P is still very full of snot, she has been very very hot & screams all the time. Took her to docs this evening coz the last time that happened she ruptured her ear drum & got an infection. Doc gave her the all clear (prob thinks I am neurotic) and said it is prob a build up of mucus making her ears sore

P had her first taste of chocolate on Sunday...3 milkybar chocolate drops (smaller than a 5p piece) then we ate the rest Needless to say she really liked it!

Finally got round to painting our bedroom yesterday (after living here nearly 2 years!) it looks fab!!!! Am feeling inspired to do the kitchen now, although that needs ALOT of work!! Also have finally set up P's CTF account, just waiting for the paperwork!! I feel like I have achieved loads this weekend...not alot in reality though! Had a great BBQ, the weather was lovely & was nice to have friends over & have a drink or 6!!! Hope everyone with snotty babies has a better nights sleep tonight! xxx

sweetkitty · 14/04/2009 21:24

I have been making myself all weepy tonight as I was searching the old threads and found the ttc October 2007 threads when pigley, mcchesers and others got their BFPs, seems like ages ago.

Isaidno - that would be a crisis in our house, dishwasher breaking down, well done yours 12 years.

Poledra - I was thinking the same thing about cups today, B gets a Tommee Tippee first cup non valved, now DD1 and 2 got on better with the Tommee Tippee straw cup wait I will see if I can find it cup I think they are fab as they use a straw which is better for teeth and they are non spill. Now they are from 12 months on but I am sure as soon as DD2 could crawl she was drinking out one of these and she had water in it from an early age and when she went onto cows milk she got it in one of those. I think I will get one for B. I think they get the suck on straw thing quite quick, I think it's much easier than those valved things.

Rumpel - Glasgow city would be best for me I would get the train in unless you want to meet up in The Hip Flask next time you are down. Anxiety is a bit up and down I think the ADs are helping take the edge off, yes driving is a big thing for me, takes me all my time to drive the DDs to nursery Mine not premenstrual as I am not having periods.

Dothisdothat - aww your poor wee man, your luck will change soon x
