Morning all just a quick one from me as I have MIL and her friends visiting later so you can guess what I have been doing all morning - yes cleaning.

Bunk beds have arrived, DDs been using mattresses as trampolines, swimming pools, mud pits and the sea so far

Rumpel - don't be I have quite a small frame and am quite short, any spare weight goes straight to my bum and hips, in fact even at a size 8 I don't have size 8 bums and hips, getting jeans to fit is a nightmare as to get them to fit over my big bum they gape at the waist and legs. Am hideously unfit as well and have the crimpolene tummy too. No Bethany was not that good a girl last night, probably about 4 times looking for a boob.

Bethany is on stair one shouting up after the other two, stairgates here very soon too.

Right better go feed B, and then more cleaning and tidying.

bebejones · 09/04/2009 11:44

Morning all! Poor P is is so much pain with her teeth, she has been grizzly all morning, but is sleeping now! Have dosed her up with Calpol she is so hot bless her. Have teething gel too & granules just trying to find a combo that works, even if only for a short time coz the constant crying does neither of us any good!!!

P has also worked out how to get out of her bumbo! Went to pick up phone this morning turned round & she was on her belly squirming accross the rug!!

Must go & do house stuff now!!

Momma23 · 09/04/2009 15:24

Rumple
God you poor thing hope DD improves soon, horrible to see them sick. But even when the cats are at it, its bad. Good vibes for a good night sleep soon.

Pigley
Glad the move went well, how does the new house feel?

Smudge
So sorry to hear about your DH, It is an awful fright to get. Hope things improve for you. I know when we were going through a bad patch like that (DP havin seizures and me 8 mos pg) It was hell, because you are worried for your DH health yet you have to take care of yourself too.

Right DD3 has Tonsilitis and runny nose, Up all night where she could not settle herself. I was so called sleeping in her room and DP came in and cuddled me, bless him he was so tired from work yesterday. But he mad DD3 sleep and cuddled me (i know refer to him as god)

SK
How was your MIL? Bet DC had fun.

Raining here today so lighting the fire and watching a DVD with DD 1 & 2..

sweetkitty · 09/04/2009 16:04

MIL gone home now, girls had a ball they were so hyper, I get on OK with my MIL much better than my Mum, her friend is lovely am always wanting to ask her to adopt me

Rumpel - will sign your petition in a bit, sending you some get well vibes for all your household.

pigley - glad the move went well

Jodie - saw the Spain pics on FB looked like you had a lovely time, batteries well recharged? Sam sounds like he is doing great, I got B the Vtech Baby Steps walker, very plastic, very noisy she will love it. DP and I disagree about Easter he thinks it should be eggs only but I like to buy them a little present too, eggs get eaten but a new toy they can play with for a while.

bebejones - poor P sounds like she is having such a rough time of it hope it passes soon

red salamander - Louis sounds like a right wee daredevil

Right am off to move some more toys about the rooms

Disney
Poor Sam, hope he get better very soon the poor little thing. Just what you need when you need to go in a hurry.

HAve to clean floors tidy round and do the shopping! That should take the whole day on my case. DD3 a little better last night. She slept only waking twice.

Hope all your little bunnys are doing well and avoiding all the colds, flus, sore throats etc that are going around.

Rumpel · 10/04/2009 14:21

Just a quickie all - trying to get through a Cairngorm size pile of puke covered washing and wash all DHs stuff for going away on Sunday.

DISNEY - so sorry to hear about Samuel and sending him speedy healing vibes - wee soul.x

Thanks to all who have signed my petition so far - very much appreciated.

Just spent £50 in Dobbies on fish stuff too as the water is pea soup again and 4 of my fish have died - caught 3 shrimp eating 1 of my ailing goramis alive last night - took the thing out and quarantined it but it has popped off to the big pond in the sky. S this weekend I need to empty tank and start again - using gravel instead of sand this time.

Must go as both the littlies are sleeping and I need to make use of the time rather than fanny about on here.

Have a fab weekend everyone - hope you all enjoy the 'quality' family time and choccy eggs.xxx

sweetkitty · 10/04/2009 14:51

Hi all wow it's quiet in here today, I am full of the cold and generally feeling lousy, been to get the last of my Easter bits and pieces and DP has spent much of the day assembling the bunk beds. All us girls have the cold, DP doesn't as usual, he is never ill, he says it is because he is superfit

Disney - sorry to hear about Samuel, hope he has a speedy recovery

Rumpel - I am always saying I want a fish tank, I want something simple and cold water like black mollies or fancy goldfish. Good luck with the washing pile, I find it's not the washing it but the putting it away and ironing it that takes the time.

Vegetarian dinners all round tonight in this house.

sweetkitty · 11/04/2009 07:38

Morning everyone, DP out for a run, just me and Bethany up, girls love their bunk beds, I think they are sleeping late this morning as they were up until 9.30pm playing and jumping in each others beds

Usual kind of night with the little one.

What's everyone up to over Easter weekend? Today I am taking DD1 swimming as she hasn't been for ages as we cannot take all 3 at the one time and she usually goes dancing. Then I think we might go to the park and the swings later as the sun is shining

bebejones · 11/04/2009 09:38

Had an awful night! Poor P has now caught her cousins cold, just in time for Easter. Think I probably had a total of 2 hours sleep. She is SO full of snot (made worse by the grizzling & screaming all night) she is knackered aswell, gonna be a fun Easter, esp since DH invite loads of people over for a BBQ 2moro!!!!!!!!!!

Was trying to make P's new toy box up yesterday, thought she would enjoy watching us, but everytime we used the screwdriver she screamed the house down! So DH ended up sittng with her in another room while I did the box (hand held screwdriver not an option...72 screws!!!) Haven't finished it yet!!!!

Off to tesco for BBQ stuff!

Momma23 · 11/04/2009 16:10

Bebe
DD3 has that cold and OMG snot is unreal! Green gunky nose for the last 4 days. Hopefully she will sleep tonight for you it is so draining not getting any sleep.

Nothing to report here, make a cheese cake for tommorw and DD3 is havin a snooze. THe other 2 have gone with my sister for a while thank god!!! So enjoying this fab quiet time...

ponto · 11/04/2009 17:13

Another snotty baby here, I keep having to change the cot sheet in the morning as she sleeps on her tummy now and the sheet is covered in green slime!

Bryony is very pleased with herself this week as she has learnt to crawl forwards at last . Her big sisters are not so impressed as now she can mount an assault on all the toys she's had her eye on for months!

Also she has her 3rd tooth with another on the way. I'm feeling quite sad as she is growing up so fast and I know that I'm not going to go through this again.

SK, don't feel too bad about Bethany falling off the bed, poor Bryony fell out of her highchair, off the sofa and off a bench in the swimming pool changing rooms a few weeks ago, but I was too embarassed to confess it on here . I am now very careful where I put her if she's not secured.

We're staying with DH's parents for Easter, they have a small farm so the girls have been enjoying bottle feeding lambs. We're off to see DH's brother on Monday, he and his wife have just had a baby boy, their 3rd child, so it's going to be a manic few days with 6 kids under one roof. I hope it doesn't rain so we can shove them out into the garden.

Sorry not to comment on everyone's news, not getting much time to post these days, though I try to read most days. Hope poorly mums and babies feel better soon.

sweetkitty · 11/04/2009 20:05

I have a snotty baby too, cannot quite believe that amount of green gunk can come out one little head.

Must be the weather for colds

ponto - thanks that makes me feel better, DD1 had quite a few falls too and she seems OK

bebejones · 11/04/2009 20:54

SK - with you on that, who knew something so small could produce THAT much snot!!!

P had a brief window of alrightishness early evening...now snotty again & screaming just in time for bed! She hates having her face/mouth/eyes/nose wiped so throws herself around in an attempt to avoid the tissue, subsequently she has a very red sore nose if only she kept still it wouldn't be SO much of a trauma!!! Have kept her dosed with Calpol (tooth still erupting plus teeth 2 & 3 on way) & been using baby vicks & steaming her room with olbus oil...fingers crossed for a better night tonight!

Must go spend some time with my beloved. He has done masses of housework today! Prob coz I made him feel bad about him inviting loads of people over 2moro! Has been lovely here today weather wise, bet it rains 2moro!!

Happy Easter everyone!

pigleychez · 11/04/2009 21:16

Sorry to hear about all these snotty babies!
Abigail too seems to have developed a runny nose today.

Been super busy with the house with numerous trips to B and Q and Homebase.
I painted Abigails room today in a lovely pale green and a pale pink. Looks really cute and girly. Off to Ikea on Tuesday to get her furniture and carpet is being fitted on Thursday. Hopefully get her in her new room by the weekend

We have spent a fortune and replaced nearly all items of furniture. Its going to look fab when its all delivered!

Spending tomorrow painting the Kitchen. Painting is my job as DH hates painting. Thankfully I love decorating

Guessing we need to start buying stairgates now too as Abigail has begun to crawl . Only slow and rather clumsy looking but still getting around. My baby is growing up

TheRedSalamander · 12/04/2009 08:18

Happy Easter mums and babies!

Snot here too- plus the grumpiness when wiping his nose like in Bebe's house! With us it's also a bit of "I'm a boy mum gerroff meeeee don't make me cleeeeean" I think

Just received my copy of "The No-Cry sleep Solution" so avidly reading that to see if I can help Louis sleep better, it's so pants

ANyone else's bubba getting really really cross when you try to spoon feed them? Louis has decided he's far too grown up for mummy to feed him, refuses spoon and is only happy feeding himself! V messy with total finger food meals. All you BLW'ers I guess you've bee having this all the way through though

Pigley A's room sounds lovely. I love decorating too- dh is the emulsioner and I'm the cutter-inner and paintwork-er! of your new furniture, put some pictures up when you're finished I'd love to see what you've done. Congrats on A and ponto's bryony crawling!

Still no sign of any teeth here. He'll be talking before he has teeth, like ds1!

DH having a lie in this morning, Lou's already back down for his first nap (woke v early so ds1 and I cuddling on sofa watching Bottletop Bill on Milkshake. Off to MIL's later for Easter lunch (yum! She does a spanking roast!) which will be interesting as Louis will want to eat it himself, she is very much of the "anything other than purees will kill him before the age of 16" variety! But lovely with it, very lucky on that front.

Hope you all have a great day xxxx

disneystar · 12/04/2009 08:29

morning all....

boys in there room , im in bed on the laptop ,samuel asleep he seems to have broken through his fever/pnuemonia and is breathing easier and looks content. i love him sleeping as he can breathe unaided, and thats lovely to see....i think hes learning not to panic when he wakes up now. he knows we are coming with his stuff, and smiles.

boys eager to have breakfast then do there easter egg hunt....
got samuel a little one too.
going out to the harvester for lunch (its a 2 min walk away) so easier.
then a easter tea, boys have made crackers, baskets, eggs, so let the weather be nice and we can do it in the gazebo. il take some pics
everyone have a great day,
got to hurry il be late for church here.....

sweetkitty · 12/04/2009 09:02

Morning and Happy Easter to everyone, we have SIL and big cousin coming up later, we are going to have an egg hunt in a bit too.

Red - I had NCSS for DD2 and I'm sorry to say it didn't work, I don't think it is a quick fix but a gradual withdrawal that takes weeks. For us the thing was when they are nursing and starting to slow down and sleep you unlatch then whilst they are sleepy so they start to become used to not going to sleep with nipple in mouth. For B, this sometimes works of she is tired enough, if you try to unlatch her before SHE is ready she will go mad and bite

We also have the Mummy do not feed me thing going on as well plus if she even sees me coming near her with a wipe she moans, but you don't want their lovely wee faces covered in green snot.

pigley - yes you must post pics, Abigails room will be lovely I am sure, I love painting too just never get the time theses days. In the old days DP would come home from work adn the hall would be a different colour than when he went out

JODIEwantsanewname · 12/04/2009 13:05

Hi all, Happy Easter.

Sorry to hear all these snotty babies, hope you all get better soon x

We went to Thomasland yesterday and OMG it was so cool! Oliver went on his first roller coaster! and he went on a 'flying' bus and some planes and helicopters and a boat!!! He was a bundle of fun all day! We went withanother couple and their 2 boys (who are the same age as Oli ad Sam) and all 4 boys were happy, happy, happy, all day! No grumbles from anyone!

I highly recommend it to anyone who has children over 2!!!! Well worth a long trip too, you can go in the Zoo and all the adult rides too. (although Oli had a whinge that he couldn't go upside down on the fast roller coaster!)

We haven't done eggs here, but am going to MIL's for lunch in abit, and she's done something special for Oliver, thats why we haven't bothered. We are going to Argos tomorrow to get a Sandpit for him

Cngrats on all the newly crawling bubbas, this is where the fun begins!!!

pigley I second/third having pics up of your new house!!! WE are about to embark on a new dining room/lounge (all semi-open) Just deciding on colours, I think Plum or a Cherry red, so not sure, will have to get some samples I think.

Hope you are all having a nice day
xx

Seems like the weekend for decorating! PIL are have P 2moro so we can paint our bedroom, haven't done it since we moved in nearly 2 years ago We have filled all the cracks etc so just need to get the rollers out...it's a bit of a task as we have quite high ceilings & I can only just reach to cut in!!

Hope everyone is having a nice day!

Rumpel · 12/04/2009 18:21

Hi All,

Hope you all has a lovely Easter day. Stil pukey here and DH has just left to go offshore for 9 days .
Still it's lovely to see the sunshining and I managed to egt out and do some gardening yesterday for a bout 3 hours - with Calvin in a back pack as he is very clingy at the mo' and DD being a limpet to her Daddy Feeling nauseous too but I think it is just lack of sleep rather than the bug.
Sorry to hear all your littlies are so snotty - sometimes their teeth can those symptoms too. No teeth here yet either RED no signs either.

Enjoy all your decorating - I'm still trying to get time to finish Calvins room, paint 1 wall in the dining room, run up curtains, paint the sitting room - it's never ending

Well night all - hope you enjoyed your choccie eggs - ours are still in the garage as I am waiting for pukefest to finish before indulging them

Sleepy vibes babiesxxx

DoThisDoThat · 12/04/2009 19:08

Hi All.

Disney, hugs to Sam.

Well, I have bronchitis, Logan has an ear infection and DS1 - well, he has a hernia and is having the op tomorrow morning. Saw doc today and he said that he'd had it for a while. I just noticed his huge testicle on Thursday. Bad mummy.

Please let our house get better soon.

On the plus side - mil is here, was my birthday yesterday (was 40 but let's not dwell on that..) and DS2 is 4 next Sunday so we've got a party to plan.

Happy Easter and may all your green snotty babies get well soon too.

disneystar · 12/04/2009 22:09

DTDD hugs for tomorrow for your ds1 samuels had a double op for that when he was born, his testes were twisted in his abdomen both sides creating double hernia,s.
not a bad mummy at all hernia,s are not always easy to spot.
poor you being so ill right now all of you
hope you all get well soon hun xxxx

jodie weve been to thomasland many times and i agree its fab

had a good day here stayed in and had a lovely easter buffet boys ate way too much chocolate and were hypernuts all afternoon, well its only once a year isnt it.

were going to alton towers tomorrow so we have to leave at 8am....

samuel has attempted bits of food today and is still very sleepy though but better which is why were taking his breathing things and meds but have noted hospitals in the area,s we are going, its a bit of a bind doing it but essential, samuels heart can fail at anytime we know that so its better to have the info to hand.
in some ways it makes me want to stay in and never go out but its not practical is it....

anyway better get some sleep he still has 2 night feeds...shattering it is....

hope the babies sleep well for their mummies tonight, which i just know the little angels will....
