Rumpel · 14/07/2009 20:29

Balloons up. Roary tent up, cake decorated, trike and toys in sitting room, card made and poem written am off for a shower now - so clammy up here.

Hope you are organised for B SK and hope you manage to enjoy it - your MIL would want you to treasure every moment - remember if you find a white feather tomorrow - she is watching over you .

nite all sleep tight little ones xxxxxxx

pigleychez · 14/07/2009 20:31

Oh goodness me!!

Typical .. I dont come on here for a day and it all happens!

Red- oohhh do a test again in a few days and let us know
See I had a feeling!!!
Abigail is a Black eyed peas fan too!

Bebe- Poor you and P. Hope you start feeling better soon

SK- Happy birthday to DP.. Hope he had an "ok" day

Jodie- Sounds like you are having a fab time in Cornwall. There are some lovely little villages there arent there. Will you be an extra on Doc martin!

M2L- Its gone sooo quickly.. hope you are well.

Abigail has really taken off with the walking now and the past few days has been toddling around. DH has been away and she has really missed him and was lovingly looking at a photo of him last night saying his name.. sooo sweet.

Cant believe this time last year I was getting annoyed with being overdue as Abigail was due on the 12th.

disneystar1 · 14/07/2009 21:01

pigley that video of A saying daddy actually made me cry it was so sweet it also made me sad i think as samuel tries so hardto make sounds but he cant as he doesnt have a top palete try making the sound D and see where yourtongue goes.
small things like that are so very precious i think, and shes a fantastic walker and shes so proud of herself isnt she....

red maybe a bit early try again in a few days you certainly know how to shake the thread up dont you......we were all excited , i think sk was having kittens.

i was busy today making a big batch of organic stew and ive frozen lots of it in small and big pots, my freezer is packed with crumbles and pies as well, i love this season

ponto · 14/07/2009 21:47

Pigley I have another walker here, I don't think Bryony crawled at all today, just toddled around with a big grin on her face. I am a bit though as she's my last baby and she already seems to be growing up so fast. Her sisters didn't walk until about a month later so I wasn't ready for this.

SK, I was sorry to hear about your MIL, it must be a terrible shock to the whole family. How are the girls taking it?

Red, hope the next test is a BFP for you! I was idly thinking that another baby would be nice, but I really don't think I could cope with 4, I'd probably be buried under the washing mountain for a start!

Disney, you sound very organised with your cooking, I came home from work today and dh was out so I've just had a packet of Ainsley Harriot couscous for my tea .

sweetkitty · 14/07/2009 22:54

evening ladies

Rumpel - same here, house decorated to within an inch of it's life, presents and cards out, cake made, going to try and enjoy it tomorrow, we are just on a huge countdown to the funeral on Saturday

disney - I certainly was having kittens

pigley - love love love the video what a clever girl, she always has been beyond her years that one, she reminds me of my DD2, very determined. B has given up on walking just now, she cruises round the sofa and stands up on anything but since she has learned to crawl properly and kneel up she doesn't want to stand anymore, she is so cute chasing after the big two. I think we have nana here for banana which she loves not sure though. Her appetite has went through the roof, you should see what she is eating now

M2L - wow nearly there already, hope you are getting lots of rest as it's hard being pregnant with a wee one, how's the BFing going, well done you you have done so well to feed throughout a pregnancy

red - keep us posted

Jodie - you sound like you are having a fab time

oh sleep update what day are we on, Day 5, day 4, down at 8pm no problem in own cot, had a grumble at about 11pm DP settled her back and that was her until 7am, so the night before wasn't a fluke, I think I would have slept longer than I have in the past 18 months if it wasn't for DD2 stroking my face at 4am. So so shocked and so utterly delighted with her.

minipinkscottish · 15/07/2009 07:35

SK - sorry to hear of your loss, my thoughts are with you.

RED - wow!

Well girls dh and I are going away today for a couplde of nights in Edinburgh (no kids ) We are going on the train, staying in the grassmarket and going to do the real tourist bit, taking in the fringe stc...Then tomorrow night we are going to see Duran Duran at Edinburgh castle ....all 80's lovers walk this way

I'll let you all know how it goes xxxxxxxxxxx

bebejones · 15/07/2009 11:47

Happy Birthday Calvin & Bethany!!

Pigley - love the video of A walking, so cute! P does about 3 steps then decides crawling is quicker so drops to her knees and is off!!

Had an awful night with P and 'the flu', temp rocketed up to 39.5 even after ibuprofen at bedtime. She was shivering and pale & blotchy & was screaming in pain pulling her legs up to her tummy. When I picked her up she just flopped on my shoulder and was shaking. Rang NHS direct who, after waiting half an hour on hold, said they couldn't advise us because she had been prescribed tamiflu. Rang out of hours GP at Stroud hospital who after much deliberation decided we couldn't come in and they would send someone to us...from Cheltenham! A rapid response paramedic & GP turned up 45 mins later in face masks and gloves, barely even wanting to touch P who was scared by them anyway. Thankfully she had cooled down after some calpol which we had given her 45mins before they got there & the cold flannel on her head. They were really quite shirty with us for calling them out but it was so scary, when we got her up she was not looking good at all. She seems loads better though this morning despite the massively disrupted night. DH has symptoms now and has been hauled into GP's for a blood test! He hates needles so has worked himself up a bit!! Going a bit stir crazy being stuck indoors! Feel like painting a big black cross on the front door! Sorry for the long post!

disneystar1 · 15/07/2009 11:54

SK give her a lovely birthday hug from samuel x

i remember when they wernt long born and lots of us were saying oh we cant into a routine, and you replied oh time enough for that later when there older enjoy this snuggle time.....spot on girl....well done to bethany as well, and daddy for being in the front line....

just been to a different playgroup at the village hall....the chaos was atrocious parents approx 30 were all walking around with hot hot tea and coffee babies crawling underfoot....surely there has to be guidelines and safety measures at mum run playgroups?

disneystar1 · 15/07/2009 11:59

bebe x posts

ive been thinking about you and p for a few days now and quite worried i am a worrier though....
maybe shes on the mend now though lets hope so, your poor dh men and needles wanna try them having a baby what we have to go through...needles what are they compared to child birth, my dh is the same though, hope hes ok though with the result.

ok call me silly now but my hormones are all over the place right now and i actually want another baby but why???/
time is against me now and i wonder if its the now or never thing im contending with, im quite sad that that part of my life is nearly over not sure if anyone understand this yet.

pigleychez · 15/07/2009 12:04

hello all,

Happy birthday to Bethany, Calvin and Stan!

Hope you all have a fab day!

Sk- I bet you are so proud of B. Shes done so well with her sleeping hasnt she

Minipink- Enjoy your weekend away.. sounds fab!

Bebe- How scary for you! Its so horrible when they are poorly isnt it
Glad she seems abit perkier today though.

Red- how are you today? I too have had similar thoughts lately

Well theres no stopping Abigail now! Toddling everywhere calling Daddy!

pigleychez · 15/07/2009 12:27

x post with Disney

re playgroups. They can be so different cant they. Think it just depends on the mums.

Completely understand about wanting another... must be like the end of an Era..im guessing!

MinnieMummy · 15/07/2009 13:12

Any news today Red??! Very exciting if it's the case...!

Happy birthday Bethany, Calvin and Stan! I don't think I realised there were three on the same day.

I am very impressed with all your birthday efforts and present buying, we got P a load of new clothes as she is growing out of her 9-12mth stuff but haven't even really thought about presents - she only really wants to play with her older brother's toys and we have enough plastic cars/trains/fire engines to last several more years yet!

Bebe I think you did the right thing calling out the out-of-hours doc, they shouldn't have made you feel bad, it's their job to turn up.

Pigley I'm impressed with A's walking too - P loves standing against things and is starting to pull herself up against higher things but showing no signs of actually moving her feet.

disneystar1 · 15/07/2009 14:17

minnie mummy samuel got his smart trike from us, pull along caterpillar from the boys, musicals rattly things, we call shake shakes,
musical book from elc from sister, walking crab from his friend so only 1 from us
and what does he like his older brothers shake and go car he shakes it and it makes car sounds and then he turns it upside down to watch the wheels move....typical, should of wrapped the 1 car and hed been happy....

ponto · 15/07/2009 14:29

Bebe, hope P is feeling better now, it must have been v scary, especially with all this stuff on the news about swine flu at the moment.

I have had a stressful morning opening a bank account for Bryony - only took me a year to get round to it. I went into the branch to do it and they said 'oh no, you can't just walk in, you need to make an appointment to open an account, or go home and do it online or on the phone then come back in with her birth certificate (which I had brought with me today)' so I was quite . I needed to do it today as I had a cheque to pay in which she was given nearly 6 months ago that I found in the bottom of the drawer, and it was about to expire. So then they said I could use their phone to open the account. Meanwhile, Bryony was toddling around looking at stuff, but managed to shut her thumb in a cupboard door while I was distracted on the phone. I had to try to write down reference numbers, hold the phone and deal with a screaming baby. Once I got that sorted, I had to queue up to pay the cheque in, during which time Bryony got more and more frantic, culminating in her throwing herself face down on the floor and whacking her forehead . I was very glad to leave, but then as I had nearly reached the car (which I'd deliberately parked a long way away so I would get some exercise) I realised I'd left B's jacket behind at the bank in my rush to leave, so had to trudge all the way back again! Food Police, look away now - I bought B a Chupa Chips mini lollipop to cheer her up, which was like a miracle!

Just need to sort out the Child Trust Fund now - hope there's not an expiry date on that!

disneystar1 · 15/07/2009 17:23

what a day ponto...bet she loved the lolly...yum

sweetkitty · 15/07/2009 21:02

Evening all well I think Bethany had a lovely day she loved being pushed about in her Smart Trike they are good aren't they? She only got that and two helium balloons from us, spent a small fortune on the Next sale though tonight.

Dreading tomorrow got to spend an hour on 2 trains and am going to see MIL's body feel it's a kind of duty thing, dreading seeing SIL as well. Friday morning we have DD1's party at a local soft play then I have to rush off and get hair cut before DP rushes back down to hometown for a vigil mass and prayers thing, Saturday is funeral and Sunday family BBQ and then Monday is DD1's birthday official, it's just been utterly horrid, reading out B's card from MIL this morning.

Anyways enough from me

pigley - go Abigail go DD2 was my quickest at 11 1/2 months, I count walking as from one end of the room to the other, not the step step step fall down they start with which is very cute, she will just keep getting more and more stable and then more and more fast

ponto - what a day, all that hassle to open a bank account, sometimes needs must one lolly won't do any harm

Disney - thank you for remembering that, it does go fast and I really do enjoy those cuddles with a newborn, I know what you mean it's so sad and happy our babies are one.

bebe - poor poor B, high temps are nasty, loads of calpol and take her outside in a nappy cool her down, you really are going through it, do you have someone there helping out like Mum/MIL?

pigleychez · 15/07/2009 22:05

Ponto- Your day sounds very stressfull. How annoying that they werent very helpful. Sometime i think needs must and if a lolly saves your sanity then go for it!.. Im sure Bryony didnt mind!

SK- Im glad B enjoyed her day. The smart trike sounds like a hit.. wonder if Abigail will like hers.
I too have just made a huge next order

We have counted her walking from doing it sponatiously..ie not calling her to come to you. She now happily gets up and walks off her back. She confidently made it out the lounge and down the hallway into to kitchen today! So funny just watching her from behind the door

On the back of Reds news...Its given me the guts to post..
I'm thinking I might be pregnant too Its been in the back of my mind but really dont know. I have no idea when my last period was as I really cant remember - how bad is that! The past few days been having stomach cramps, tender, painful boobs and lower backache. Felt like passing out earlier today which is exactly the same as with Abigail. Trouble is I dont know if its just my period being an arse on its way or if im preggers and actually late or almost late. Guessing it was a good 3.5/4 weeks ago. Tempted to test but almost abit scared too! Would prefer to test with DH but havent mentioned to him my thoughts.
I did tiptoe round the subject yesterday and got " no more kids yet" so . Guessing I will wait while longer and see what happens.
Sorry girls for rambling...Ignore me.. I will tell you if anything comes of it.

sweetkitty · 15/07/2009 22:09

pigley - go get a test woman

I have a confession of my own too whilst we are on the subject, please do not mention anything on FB but we are TTC too I know I know I said never again but feel there's just one more baby to go, I know the SPD will kill me but I will not let it stop me having a baby.

Poledra · 15/07/2009 22:33

Happy birthday to today's babies!

Have read everyone's news but am doing a selfish post - sorry. Have just had a row with H and told him that we need to think about whether this marriage is going anywhere and if we would be better off separated . Can't tell anyone in RL. I am so tired of him working all the time, then criticising everything I do. One of the things he thinks I'm going over the top about is that he went through the pockets of my coats the other weekend 'to tidy them out'. To me, that's a huge invasion of my privacy - he has no need to be in my coat or my handbag, and I have made my feelings clear about this before. Am I OTT? I never go through his personal things.

I have had to defend his behaviour before now where, for example, a friend was appalled at the way he spoke to me. She said her DH would never speak to her in that way.

It also now appears that he is expecting me to do all the childcare pick-ups and drop-offs again, despite the fact we were supposed to be splitting it between us.

I'm so so sad - I don't want to be a divorcee, and I do not want my beautiful beautiful children to be from a broken home. I don't know what to do.

pigleychez · 15/07/2009 22:36

Ohhh SK... Are we following each other?!? TTc club, then July 08 babes... 2010 babies??

Just been complaining about feeling so bloody hot... (just stripped and sitting in my underwear!) and DH replied "your not pregnant are you?" Told him my thoughts and he didnt seem totally shocked.. even smiling! Did mention that I have a test left from the twin pack I bought for Abigail and that ive checked and its still in date! He just laughed.

Think ill see what happens tomorow before testing. Ive had some light spotting today so could be the start or not?!

pigleychez · 15/07/2009 22:40

xpost with Poledra.

So sorry your having troubles with DH. DH and I often go into each others bags/coats, use mobiles etc as we drive each others cars and swap keys etc but if thats not what your used to I can understand it would upset you. Do you think he doesnt trust you?
