Thanks girls didn't really want to post anything on FB yet as SIL is on there and don't want to upset her.

Cannot stop crying today, keep thinking about all the things she won't see now DD1's first day at school she was so excited about that, the birthdays etc, DP has gone into organised mode and is getting all the arrangements sorted it won't have hit him yet, he lost his Dad when he was 13. Feels like I have lost a Mum too as she was more of a Mum than my own Mum. Am trying to call in friends to look after the DDs for the funeral, it's a nightmare

Disney - I was only joking about the smart trike, they are good aren't they can't wait to get B out on hers.

cass66 · 13/07/2009 14:22

Hi all. SK, sorry for your bad news.

Disney, we also bought the smart trike (after SK mentioned it!!) Ed loves it.

wrt swine flu, schools and businesses etc aren't supposed to shut anymore, because we're not trying to contain the virus anymore, just manage it. So even thought there are children with swine flu at your school, the DOH advice is it should stay open, and the children involved need to have 7 days off. The same with businesses/offices etc. And even if you have had contact with someone who has had swine flu, you don't need to quarentine yourself. Although I know you don't want Sam to get it.....

The important thing is if you do think you have swine flu is to STAY AT HOME. Do not go to the GP/A/E/Walk in centre etc.

Will get off my soap box now!!!

sweetkitty · 13/07/2009 16:19

SK is off to ask Smart Trike for commission lol

DP home now think funeral is going to be Saturday

disneystar1 · 13/07/2009 17:18

cass thanks for that x

bebejones · 13/07/2009 18:26

SK - so sorry to hear that about you MIL, sending big hugs to you all xxx

Well on the swine flu note, Docs think me & P have it!! Both been prescribed tamiflu which FIL had to go get as we are not allowed to leave the house! I feel pretty rough TBH but poor P is burning hot and only slept about 2 hours last night. Just keep dosing her with calpol & ibuprofen. We have to start the tamiflu 2moro apparently. It's more of a precaution, could just be normal flu but like Cass said they aren't testing anymore coz of the risk of infecting others by leaving house! Just hoping that I have hit the peak which they think I may have so fingers crossed for P!

MinnieMummy · 13/07/2009 19:50

Wow Bebe, poor you and P, hope you both feel better soon.

SK very sorry to hear your sad news, hope you and your family are doing ok.

Belated happy birthday to Edward and especially Samuel! How the time flies... this is a dangerous age though I think, as they start doing even cuter things and become their own little people and we start thinking 'oh how cute, maybe another one would be a good idea'

Rumpel · 13/07/2009 20:19

HI All,

So so sorry to hear about your MIL. It is a terrible shock when someone die so unexpectedly like that. It will take ages to sink in properly and your poor DH - he'll prob' be in denila mode until after the funeral - big, giant, uber huge squishy hugs for you all (((((( )))))).

PJR - camping with my 2 was fine although it was a bit awkward without DH. 1 morning about 5am I was desperate for a wee as DD had been up and boucning around on me for ages - I had to grab DD and run to the toilet blocks and leave Calvin zipped in the tent I was as fast as could be but when I came back he was crying his head off! Serves all the people right who were being noisy the night before tee hee. Not supposed to be any noise in the campsite after 11pm buit it had been Saturday and there were a few late night chatters/walkers. By the end of the afternoon we were the only tent left in that space . After that it was ok as DD slept with my parents in the caravan and I just peed in her potty in the 'porch' of the tent in the night if I needed Much easier if there are 2 of you though. No cot just sleeping bags/duvet. Calvin and I just slept together under a light duvet when DD went to the caravan.

PUDDING ( wave hello emoticon) hope you are well.

POLEDRA - boo work!

BEBE - argg! It's getting a bit scary now this piggy thing. Stock up on the echinacea and vit c/zinc methinks

We bought Calvin these for his birthday:

www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000TQQWUW/?tag=googhydr-21&hvadid=4396499289&ref=pd_sl_7h1r8k6z4t_e

this without the trailer though

www.elc.co.uk/toy/wooden-trike-n-trailer-blue/

www.elc.co.uk/toy/blue-table-sand-pit/

and some WOW push along things.

He was at nursery today so I baked him a yummy chocolate orange cake for his birthday - just need to fill and decorate it now.

JODIE - have a fab holiday and I just don't seem to get the time to FB or anything these days - no idea how I am going to actually fit work in when I get a job .

Take care all am off to tidy up and finally go for a shower - was out jumping in muddy puddles, Peppa Pig style with DD this PM.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

bebejones · 13/07/2009 20:33

I love looking at what you guys have got LO's for birthdays, giving me loads of ideas for P since she is not 1 til August!! We have got her one of these (obviously not from this website bought it in a shop!!)

and one of these

We got 'keepsake' type things as everyone else is buying her clothes and toys. Do want to get her something fun though that won't cost the earth!!!

purplejennyrose · 13/07/2009 20:44

SK - really really sorry for your loss, take care. x

rumpel - thanks, I feel a bit more emboldened to get the tent out now!!

sending get well soon wishes to all poorly folk especially bebe and co!

disneystar1 · 13/07/2009 21:13

oh bebe when i read it i shouted to my dh "on no lydia and phoebe may have the swine flu" he came rushing upstairs as i was in a panic....hope you two are fine and poor little p speedy recovery for you both xxxx

i must admit im quite scared for some reason of this flu thing so much so i havnt sent my boys to school for a week, or soft play or park type things, my dh came home tonight and sat me down and said hun i know you care but your not living or letting the boys live.....i do know this and im sending them tomorrow.

bebe i love the little doggy soft toy for p,s birthday

i did push samuel out today just around the area on his msart trike boy he loves it as im pushing him he goes mmmmmmmmm mmmmmm like a car holding on to his handles

his latest thing is kissing me he says momma and blows a kiss, hes just started copying me too clapping and banging 2 bricks together, hes amazing, i know your babies have prob been doing it a while now but hes getting there isnt he.
hes just learnt to throw a ball to me he sits up sort of and i roll the ball to him he thinks about it and throws it back gets so so excited and i say good job samuel he claps in praise.

SK nothing i can say to help but your in my prayers and thoughts x

TheRedSalamander · 14/07/2009 13:30

SK so sorry for your loss, mil's always get bad press but mines a treasure too. Will give her an extra squeezy squidgey hug next time I see her to remind myself how lucky I am to have her. Thinking of all of you x

Happy bday Samuel for last week, hope you and all the other babies who've turned one are being good boys and girls for your parents.

Thanks for all your sleepy vibes and words of encouragement!

Samuel sounds way in front of Louis disney, blowing kisses must be lovely! My little man is such a baby still. No clapping/ teeth /words/walking but does dance (bobbing up and down) to any little snippet of music that he hears which is v cute. We had a right old booty shake going on to the Black Eyed Peas at the weekend, luckily he's got my rhythym not his dads or he'd be on his own on the dancefloor in 15 years time

And Pigley, just to keep you happy... my big news is that I think I might be pregnant [s hock][sho ck][shock ]

But no comments on fb please this is just a feeling, not even done a test yet and I'd hate news to get out inadvertantly!

Rumpel · 14/07/2009 13:39

WOW RED whoo hoo let us know ASAP!!! Louis and Calvin will de shaking their thang on the dancefloor. He adores music too and dances to anything and is fascinated by his Dad's guitar - he makes a beeline for it and twangs away

Got him weighed at baby clinic today (he had his booster jags) and he is 26lbs and 82cm tall - a big fella .

DISNEY -I must have missed it but has your DD left her man then? Also speaking of Mums how is the bridge building going with yours?
Sam blowing xx is sooo cute! I just melt into a puddle when Calvin squishes into me with his arms around my neck and coories his head into me - so lovely my wee chappie I just adore him

Must go decorate his cake and so house 'stuff'.

Take care all.xxx

TheRedSalamander · 14/07/2009 14:13

Rumpel I've just got that odd indigestion-y sicky feeling that I?ve only ever had when I?m preggers, plus my norks are gargantuan again! My periods only returned last month and dh and I have been ?careful? (er, for that read ?coitus interruptus?) so I would be jolly surprised if I am, but just got those niggly pg feelings? and for some reason we?ve been rabbits this month so there have been a number of opportunities

DH will be right cheesed off if I am, he is adamant that we are stopping at 2. However his little swimmers might have another idea! I would be v apprehensive about the pregnancy because of the worry about hyperemisis returning for a third time but absolutely chuffed to bits!

Will be going to Sainsburys on the way home to get a test.

M2L how are you doing? I've been thinking about you today!

disneystar1 · 14/07/2009 14:27

oooh red how exciting id love another i dont think id ever stop.....

M2L you must be about 37 weeks???? i think new babies are so very precious the smell of them oh everything really.....i guess i love children full stop!

samuels new game of the week is round and round the garden like a teddy bear he knows the 1 step 2 step is coming and laughs uncontrolably,
now he just shouts momma and holds his hands out with his finger trying to go round...

rumpel yes she left him but im doubrfull it will stay that way i wish it did though as ive seen her smile a few times last week and that is rare......

Rumpel · 14/07/2009 14:27

RED - I'd love another too. I saw a little teeny weenie newborn boy last week and I was nerlyu crying blame PMT. But I just think there is no way i could cope with another not too mention being pg with 2 littlies - I am so utterly miserable when pg. Dh couldn't cope either - he's studying pt and working ft for the next 2.5 years but it does make me . An extra 1 to make it 2 makes it much more awkward for everything too - cars, hols etc etc. I just feel like I spend my whole life tidying up and trying to catch up to make house decent/ironing etc etc at the moment.

Very exciting if you are though M2L was on a couple days ago - she is finding the heat tiring and getting breathless but she is 36 weeks now !!! Time flies.
Lets us know when you have BFP or not.xxxxx

Rumpel · 14/07/2009 14:29

Sory an extra 1 to make it 3 - you can tell I was good at arithemetic at school .

Rumpel · 14/07/2009 14:30

and spelling I type too fast and don't correct typos.
