Rumpel · 15/06/2009 09:42

Morning all,

I have an interview on Thursday at a local spa hotel! Have to do a back and shoulder on the head therapist.

PIGLEY - it is a blessing that DH's Uncle has passed as the poor soul had a stroke about 5 year ago ad has been living a half-life ever since. He was in his 70s - just sad that I didn't get to know him better as the few times I spoke to him i thought he was really warm and engaging. Better for him and his family in a way that he has passed.

DISNEY - we have ours with talk talk and they seem to be good - few slight probs like evrything but money wise they seem good. Have you tried doing a Uswitch search?

Must go apply online for these lecturing jobs - fingers x I get one of those as the money and hols are good.

Crappynight here as both Dcs were up and down. xxx

JODIEwantsanewname · 15/06/2009 09:47

Hi all, just a quicky while all is quiet (god knows how long it will last!

pigley your 'night' out sounds lovely, Russell Howard is so funny, loe him on Mock the Week!

Rumpel Great to hear from you!! Potty Training is going really well, no accidents for a while now (except at nursery ) well done your DD for haing control at least BS party went really well, I've got another one on Weds night at my house, so hopefully that will be good too, and after that I've got 2 a week, people seem to be responding well to my begging!!!

Talking of begging, if anyone wants to order anything from the Body Shop, then I will happily get it for them (and if order over £40, I'll give you a 10% 'friends' discount ) just let me know!!

mini 1 already!!! It's scary isn't it!!! I've just sent out all Sam's birthday party invites, 2 weeks and 5 days!!!! how did time go so quick? I can't remember it being this quick with DS1...

Right, must go, they have both finished their snack and I need to go to the Post Office to get rid of some of this E-bay stuff!!!!

JODIEwantsanewname · 15/06/2009 09:48

Rumpel x posts, good luck at your interview!!!!

OP posts:
pigleychez · 15/06/2009 10:15

Rumpel- Good luck for the interview! Fingers crossed for you!

At least your DH's uncle is a peace now then. Horrible when something like that happens and their quality of life isnt the same again.

Jodie- re Potty training- Whilst working at nursery we often found they would be worse whilst there. It was usually because theres too many distractions and they leave it too late or just forget to go!

Im scaring myself with how Anally organised I am... Abigails invites where sent out last week and her birthdays not till the 24th July! Talk about control freak!!

Abigail slept really well again last night (Whispers) 4 nights in a row!! Woke really pleased to see us and gave me a really sweet proper hug!!

Off out in a bit to a local gardens. Just hoping it brightens up abit

JODIEwantsanewname · 15/06/2009 14:54

OP posts:
Poledra · 15/06/2009 15:43

Oh well done Jodie! My two love Little People still, so there's years of use to be had from that.

I never win competitions [sulky emoticon]

JODIEwantsanewname · 15/06/2009 16:07

Poledra I never win anything either! I feel like phoning everyone I know (instead I've posted it on Faebook! )

OP posts:
disneystar1 · 15/06/2009 16:31

hi all
well done jodie poledra i never win anything either
good luck rumpel im sure you will do just fine....
well samuel now goes through the night he goes to bed between 8-9pm i lay him in his cot awake with his iggle piggle cover him up i sit in the rocking chair no touching though and he just goes to sleep right through till 8am no feeds in the night now....
its been a long time happening but we got there. you know i really miss the night snuggles but so need the sleep.

sweetkitty · 15/06/2009 21:10

oh I am tired and it doesn't help playing bejewelled blitz - pigley how did you manage that score, did you cheat?

jodie - well done you my two still play with Little People now, I am getting Bethany a smart trike from ELC, they have 20% off if you buy a pack of Muller yoghurts good to know in time for birthdays

pigley - you are far too organised but hey she's your PFB and it's exciting, this is my week in July, Tues 14th DP's birthday, Wed 15th B's, some time in those 3 days go to Loundon Castle, Fri 17th DD1's party, Sun 19th family BBQ, Mon 20th DD1's 5th birthday. So poor wee B will be sharing her birthday with her sister as she will probably be every year, we decided to give DD1 the party as she knows what is going on B doesn't but we will still do something nice for her.

rumpel - good luck with the interview

disney - we use talktalk who are cheap and fine unless you have a problem their technical support is rubbish, we pay £20 a month for phone and internet including free local and national calls and £22 for Sky but we don't have movies or sport we got them taken out as found we weren't watching them enough

B is really crabby today, she has a wee runny nose and think teeth 5 and 6 are coming through, she also fell asleep on me this evening which is very unlike her.

bebejones · 15/06/2009 21:11

Hello all! Have had to tush back early as my lovely cat has had a really nasty accident on a building site & may have to have his leg amputated. I am heartbroken so silly, he is just a cat, but it is like a member of the family being sick & he is my pre-baby baby IYSWIM. Really cross about the whole situation, He had been missing since Friday & DH found him yesterday trapped under some sheet plastic & bricks on this sort of building site round the corner where they are renovating this outbuilding. There are machines & bricks & scaffolding all left there & no fences or signs at all. I know that wouldn't stop a cat but it could so easily have been a child. Makes me really angry. He isn't insured so it is going to cost us 100's!

Mums op went well, had a bit of a trauma on the day when I went to picl her up & they wouldn't let her home til she had been to the loo, 2 jugs of water & 5 cups of tea later (after I had been home & come back once) still no wee!!! Torrential rain had flooded the carpark....only round my car! Had to push P through 6 inches of water and stand nearly knee deep in it to put her in the car! In my new Ugg boots!!!!!! Eventually my mum came home at 10pm after she ranga friend to come and get her! Complete nightmare, but she is recovering really well!

Have read through posts but need to spend some time with DH so will post a much less selfish catch up 2moro!

sweetkitty · 15/06/2009 21:18

about your cat bebe sounds like you are having a hard time of it, glad your mum is home though and on the mend

disneystar1 · 15/06/2009 22:10

sorry to hear about your cat bebe....
my lovely cat had an accident or rather someone ran her over she lost her tail and her leg, hope your one recovers and is ok soon.
good news your mum is home

sweetkitty · 16/06/2009 13:37

Quiet in here today (SK feels all lonely)

Have another grumpy little baby girl today, just given her a Teetha powder and will put her down for a nap

pigleychez · 16/06/2009 16:48

SK- hope the teethig stuff works.

Bebe- Hope Your cat is ok Poor little thing!

Well today is our 2nd wedding anniversary. Been spoilt with a dozen red roses, thortons chocs and some Yankee candles (which I love) One scented candle is Cotton which is what the 2nd yr is traditionally.

Took a trip today and spent a lovely day on the beach. It was Abigails first time too. She wasnt too keen on the sand but loved paddling! We took a picnic and had proper Sand sandwiches It was great fun. Abigail has discovered she also likes pringles!
Ill post some pics on FB later.
Hoping to go out to a local Thai restaurant for dinner tongiht... reminisce about our Honeymoon in Thailand.

disneystar1 · 16/06/2009 22:45

SK im with you on the teething front samuels cutting 2 more together and hes a right grumpy man right now, hows b now poor little thing.
pigley happy anniversary hun what a sweet dh you have, and a day on the beach together with abigail really what a perfect day.
were taking samuel and the boys to gt yarmouth in august the doctors are letting us go before samuel goes in....im happy were going but it wont be restfull as we making memories really and this hurts so much.

sweetkitty · 17/06/2009 11:06

disney - thinking of you and Samuel, when is his op and what's it for again, will be virtually holding your hand that day

pigley - gorgeous photos and cannot believe how much Abigail looks like her Mummy.

Fed up again here today, B was very unsettled again last night, despite only having a 10 minute nap yesterday (yes 10 mins) she was up about an hour after going to bed at 8, then every 1-2 hours after that, I am getting to resent it, it's such a a cycle now she wakes stand up in her cot, cries and I have to lift my top for a feed only thing that will settle her again, she honestly feeds for about 2 minutes they turns over and back to sleep. Am shattered today and have a migraine and am feeling sick. I have to break this cycle for my sanity I think. Not going to be easy but will have to be done

Sorry having a moan this morning, on a brighter note have just ordered DD1 her first school clothes today, feel like a proper Mummy, she has her graduation from nursery tomorrow complete with mortar board hat, gown, being presented with her school tie and heartbreaking song (better get the tissues ready).

Isaidno · 17/06/2009 13:09

Hello!
Have dragged myself away from facebook and bejewelled blitz.

Hope everyone is good; Poppy is 1 tomorrow, only seems 5 minutes since she was born.

disneystar1 · 17/06/2009 13:46

SK its a brain and complete face operation

properly called a frontal orbital advancement or words similar to that.
in our words they are completely removing his face and trying to expand the skull to allow his brain to grow....they remove his eyes and pin them back together and many many other horrible things, i cant bear to think what there gonna do to be honest. its a long approx 10 hour op i dont know what to in those 10 hrs i think im just going to be praying he makes it thats all i want is for samuel to be alive, i can care for him i just cant lose him, i said to my dh if samuel dies i will have to as i cant leave him and il be honest thats exactly how i feel.im taking him to theatre god knows how im going to do it.

i guess im a bit sad today i keep crying .

sweetkitty · 17/06/2009 14:43

So sorry to ask Disney cannot even begin to imagine what you are going through, I do know that Samuel is a little fighter and he has fought so well to be here already that wee man isn't going to give up especially when he has a Mummy like you too.

You have every right to be sad and cry and keep venting on here too if it helps you

Isaidno · 17/06/2009 16:24

Just been on the phone to my cousin. She had a baby boy by c section on Monday. He was 10 weeks early (problem with the blood flow through cord) and weighs 1lb 12oz. He has been stable and all looks ok. She had a still birth about 5 years ago so she's taking one day at a time. She so deserves to be a Mummy.

disneystar1 · 17/06/2009 17:26

awww bless him isaidno lots of well wishes for your cousin and her baby boy....

its ok to ask SK its ok .....

sweetkitty · 17/06/2009 21:04

Isaidno - aww poor wee thing and his poor Mummy too, makes you realise how lucky you are sometimes

JODIEwantsanewname · 18/06/2009 06:11

Isaidno sending well wishes to your cousin and her baby.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPPY

I did another Body Shop Party last night and it went really well again, think I could get the hang of this!!!!

My boys are being buggers at the moment - 4.15 yesterday morning and 5.45 this morning! I am so tired, esp. working at night too, you never know what to do for the best do you! Oli at nursery all day today though, so I might go back to bed when Sam has his lunchtime nap!!! (Whats the betting he doesn't have one now!)

OP posts:
disneystar1 · 18/06/2009 07:31

jodie i bet he doesnt as well..
also i loved the pic of him "walking" .

of course and happy birthday poppy xxxx

a 1st birthday is so wonderfully precious isnt it, touched by sadness in where the heck did that year go . also yayyy i survived the baby baby days, and for you guys chasing them around

samuel looks like he wants to move though he has assistance to sit up but can manage it quite well now (hes had a back brace and physio for months) and now he has began to rock when sitting .he cant support hisweight on his arms or legs as his muscles arnt developed so it looks to me he trying to bum shuffle. its amazing how babies and children compensate for what they cannot do

taking the boys to school then i taking samuel swimming for the first time. i look horrendous in a costume but i dont give a damn you know....
