Aaaarrrrggghhh! DD2 has got chicken pox!!! We've all had bad colds, and I thought that was all that was wrong but she ran a temp today and spent most of the day lying on the sofa watching TV/DVDs. Then, when I got her undressed for her bath tonight, there were the telltale blisters. There's only half a dozen at the moment but I expect she'll be covered in them by the morning. Now it's a waiting game to see if O gets it - she's been really miserable this afternoon, so I'm not holding out much hope she's escaped..... (DD1's already had it, so at least she's safe).

Pigley I'm with all the rest who are in awe of your energy -I think I'm doing well if I do a quarter of what you get through. Mind you, I'm a damn sight older tha you so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

M2L I can't believe how fast it's gone (always a dangerous thing to say to a pg woman, mind you ). There'll be no more siblings here - I might have considered it if I was younger, but DH is already 40 and I'm sneaking up on it, so we'll be stopping at 3. I was booked to get a contraceptive implant to make sure, but the GP who does them is off ill, and no-one else in the practice can fit them, apparently.

SK, loving the jammie dodger story. O adores the chocolate cakes her big sisters and I made at the weekend - she did the hamster trick of stuffing her cheeks full of it

Best go finish cleaning the limescale remover off the utility room sink - my life is so exciting...

Sweet dreams, babas!

sweetkitty · 09/06/2009 22:24

Evening all

poledra - poor DD2 chicken pox is horrid mostly as they are in quarantine for about a week.

pigley - you make me tired with what you do love the pic of your house on FB too

M2L - good to hear from you, wow 32 weeks it seems strange you will soon have another baby and Leah not one yet but it will be great, do you know the sex? do you have names chosen?

Red - at being back in the "real" world, where I used to work was on TV tonight and my old boss was on last week (C4 9pm tonight) seems strange it has been 5 years since I was there. Re: presents, I am only getting Bethany that Smart trike thing as like others she has everything she would ever need, the DDs had a trike but it was more grown up and pretty rubbish to be honest, I like this one as it's from 10 months as it has a harness so am thinking I can push her in it behind the other two on their bikes/prams and it lasts until about 3. She has inherited 2 coupe cars/ 3 ride ons and a rocking zebra.

bebe - at P walking, DD1 was 12 1/2 months and DD2 11 1/2 so B still has a little to go, that was proper walking across the room, then it will be first shoes time. there will be no stopping her now, I always think babies walk to early, like their legs go and their brains haven't caught up, DD2 used to walk into walls and forget to stop.

disneystar1 · 09/06/2009 22:36

awww poledra heres to a speedy recovery for your poor dc. i sympathise as pre samuel all my boys had it 3 weeks one after the other there were 10weeks all together a damn nightmare.

i gave samuel a rich tea biscuit tonight hes never held a food item and kept it in his hand....but he put it to his mouth and bit it....and smiled i was a bit scared he will choke cos of his cleft he did gag a bit and sicked a bit up but after just kept on biting and ate the lot....all of a sudden he keeps doing new things...whenever i give him his cup straight away he turns it upside down and shakes it and laughs at the water coming out...hes gettin a right monkey
well im of to bed im so so tired here can barely keep my eyes open if sam wakes tonight he can sleep with me....

sweetkitty · 10/06/2009 15:00

hi ladies quiet in here today, just having 10 minutes back from the park, Bethany fell asleep upstairs and is now in her cot she loves the swings and giggles on them non stop. Our baby swing broke and we only have big girl swings in the garden now.

pigleychez · 10/06/2009 15:11

Poledra- Oh no! What a nightmare. At least if O gets it then they are both over and done with so to speak.
Mum tells me I got it twice though!

Disney- Glad Sam enjoyed his biscuit!

SK- Sounds like you all enjoyed the park. Abigail would spend all day in her swing given half a chance!

Been doing the odd bit of Gardening when the sun was out and housework when it rained.
Did some Messy play with Abigail today. She was unsure at first but soon joined in with me

Have an old friend coming round tonight. Havent seen her for months! Last time she saw Abigail she was about 2 mnths old so will notice a huge difference! Abigail gets to stay up abit later tonight especially to meet her

disneystar1 · 10/06/2009 22:03

pigley sounds like your looking forward to tonight....have fun and from 2 mths till now shes going to amazed by abigail..

bebe hope your having a good time at your moms house..

well i havnt heard from my daughter in a few weeks now its very worrying but after last time im not going to get involved. not sure if i told you guys but what happened was very scary for me indeed.
hannah went missing for a few days we had a rranged to meet one day but she had dissapeared so had the children..after much searching she was found but her so called dp had got drunk /drugs and terrified her and the lo,s il never kno what he did to her as she clammed up and wouldnt speak to me (shes not allowed now as said dp)he controls her every move hits her and the kids i can do nothin...
i know somethings up but i cant go round there theres no point im not welcome
as i told her straight i will look after and make sure them little ones are ok if she chooses to stay with a violent man its her choice but its not theres.
she doesnt even come to see samuel and they live 5 mins away from me.
one day i hope she will come back to me and need her family again and i pray she finds the strength to break away as i will be there asap to help them.her excuse is her dp is mentally ill......she got part of her sentence right.
im not jokin here but i really expect my worst fear for her that one day the police will come to me saying she has been killed .
violent men should be castrated...
but my god i wish shes get a bit of backbone...
ok rant over theres nothing i can do anymore
and i need to be with my other family and help samuel right now.
im very tired tonight just going to have a cup of tea then hopefully bed..

hope everyone is well and babies sleeping or tired..xx

disneystar1 · 11/06/2009 13:38

hi all

ive just ordered the new dyson ball

im trying not to worry and keep telling myself she doesnt want my help (as she tells me)its her life so there you go.
samuel starting to be a little monkey here
i went round my friends for tea this morning and she has a little boy of 3 and samuel kept really tugging at his hair and scratching him everytime he went near him. it was very odd but there only babies arnt they .i kept trying to distract him but no he only wanted to pull spencers hair.
had a busy day here and supposed to at nursery but samuels asleep so ive got on with my housework and gardening.
even cleaned the windows and picked all the fruit for tonight...starving here as my diet is going great and the weight is dropping off but a little to quickly i think now
just going to find a company that steam cleans ovens...i hate that job call in someone i say..

pigleychez · 11/06/2009 21:54

Hello all...

Was nice to catch up with my friend last night. She couldnt believe how much Abigail had grown!
Thankfully Abigail slept really well last night and slept in till nearly 7!! Maybe she should go to bed at 9 every night!!

Had a fab morning at a friends. Her LO is 3 days older than Abigail ( we met in hospital and see each other every week) so have plenty in common and the girls play nicely together.

Our new TV unit came this afternoon too. Oak unit with doors to stop Abigail attacking the DVD player!
Shes already learnt how to open the doors though!

Disney- Hope things with DD improve soon.

sweetkitty · 12/06/2009 09:23

Morning all just having 5 now the big two are at nursery and before I have a shower.

Another beautiful day here we have been spoiled hope it's not all the sun we will see this year.

pigley - glad you had a good morning and afternoon, Bethany too can open cupboards, I used to have locks but now have resorted to tying hair bobbles round them much to her annoyance, I have given up on the house looking decent as well.

disney - I'm on my third Dyson, the one before the new one I have had 3 motors I think I burn them out lol, I have 3 cats so need an animal as I am constantly hoovering.

B pulled herself up in her cot yesterday first time

minipinkscottish · 12/06/2009 11:44

Well just popping in while I grab a quick cuppa....cleaning and cooking today getting ready for Abbie's 1st birthday party tomorrow...yes 1 year old tomorrow... can you believeit? And she is almost walking ..took a couple of steps from table to sofa yesterday....my baby!!

pigleychez · 12/06/2009 12:06

Sk- We are on our second Dyson- but only because DH threw dropped it down the stairs! lol
Can you send the sun down south, Its overcast here.

Minipink- I cant believe Her Birthday has come round already!! Are you having a big party? Last count for Abigails party was 25 with more to confirm!
I think Abigail will be joining Abbie with the walking soon. Shes started standing alone and last night looked soooo close to taking some steps!

Went to a garden centre this morning to get more plants for my new border. No trolleys with seats Abigail went in her buggy and I was left struggling with a huge wet plant balanced on the handle bars of the pram! It was hard work! Cant wait for DH to come with me to get it as we are so busy at weekends lately we wont have the chance.

Trying to think of things to do as DH has Mon and Tuesday of work as Tuesday is our 2nd Wedding anniversary. Typically the weather looks pants too Dh wanted to go to the beach!

mama2leah · 12/06/2009 12:19

mama2leah · 12/06/2009 12:21

ohh go woburn safari park, we went with leah a few weekends back, was great she loved it.

pigleychez · 12/06/2009 22:09

Been busy planting in the garden today.

Abigail appears to share my green fingers and was caught eating soil from my houseplant!!
I only nipped upstairs for a minute to grab some washing to put on and came down to her tucking in!!
Even found some soil in her nappy tonight.
DH was very proud of his Joke that Abigail had "soiled" herself!

Our new garden furniture has come... We were expecting it Monday so pleased its come today instead, especially as DH has Monday off and we had hoped to go somewhere.

sweetkitty · 13/06/2009 18:31

Everyone must be outside enjoying the sunshine

well our big news today is that B is pulling herself up proper now and has started to move round the sofa, oh no it isn't going to be long is it, few months at most until she is walking

pigley - love the picture of Abigail eating the soil, time to move the houseplants! Nothing of value below waist height.

M2L - glad you are doing well, you are doing so well BFing Leah too I only managed until DD1 was a year and I was 3 months pregnant with DD2 as I was knackered, how many feeds is Leah having now? has she dropped any?

Hi All,

Happy belated bday Abbie - sorry MINI - busy here! Wow alking already! Calvin has just mastered crawling.

Did read through but forgotten who said what now

We have been really busy here wave to JODIE. DD is still doing th poo dance with clenched buttocks thing not even bribery with a choccy lollie works! Still taking her movicol but she needs to relax and not hold it in. How did your first BS party go?

MAMA2 - you'll need to change your name soon Hope you are keeping well and not long to go now. time flies! I'd like another deep down but I feel too old and tired and feel like I am just starting to feel 'normal' and enjoying life again afetr 3+ years of hellish anxiety so it's a no from me Just need to wnjoy the 2 we are lucky to have.

We went to Blair Drummond safari park Friday and the kids just loved it. It was roasting and Amber fed the lamas Coldn't see the chimps though as it was just me and the kids so couldn't manage. Dh is coming with us next time though. Softplay yesterday and feeling hellish today - AF and it is horrific post bubbas isn't it?

I sent out my CV last week to 10 places and am about to apply for a lecturing position. it's FT which I don't really want and a nit of a trek away but I figure I'll apply and see what happens. We really need me to get some work now as funds are so tight.

Calvin has a wee wodden trike for his BD and we are getting him a sand/water table too. He is all chuffed as he finaly mastered crawling on Thursday (I thought he might just walk) and has mastered his tombliboo buggy today! 2 teeth here with an incisor just about to poke through! He adores jaffa cakes and I give him mini ones for pudding. Everything in moderation is my motto! Heloves a jammy didger too SK! I bought the cheap ones out of Tesco and they are delicious - much noicer than the originals! 23p too!

TJUICE - where are you

HUBARB are you lurking too?

DH away tonight as his Uncle died so at his Ps for funeral tomorrow so am off for an early book read night onight.

CASS - how are you and what's happenign re move? My hafla on 26th - mastered veil dance at last but we have to stay sober as we are last on - boo!!!!

Back at pole dancing last week - much better now as more confident - still can't spin backwards though!

pigleychez · 14/06/2009 21:45

Hello.

Had a fab afternoon today. Pub lunch with PIL's then DH and I went to Brighton to see Comedian Russell Howard perform whilst the PIL's babysat.
He was great and had a great laugh! Thankfully Abigail was fab too and was perfect for Nanny and Grandad. Came home to her fast asleep

DH has tomorrow and Tuesday off so planning what to do. Thinking of visiting a local National Trust garden then the beach on Tuesday.

Rumpel- Sorry to hear about DH's Uncle
And good luck for the job

Mini- Glad you had a good time
I bet she was spoilt rotten!
