Happy birthday to all the babies that I've missed. Hope you all had/have lovely days.

PWRH - nice to see you. Glad things are going well for you.

Have had the ils here since Sunday. They left an hour ago. They were here to babysit last night while dh and I went to our first NCT ante-natal class. It went well. Dh only had to leave the room once when we did a relaxation/breathing exercise at the end - not particularly medical but made him feel dizzy.

Dh's grandad is still in hospital. They've been running tests/scans but nothing obvious has come up. It might just be an age thing I guess. He does have an existing liver condition (he takes polar bear bile for it) but it doesn't seem to be related.

It's two years today since my friend died, so I'm feeling a bit Trying to think of happier times with her, which helps. I knew her for 28 years so theres plenty of material!

leakyR · 07/04/2009 12:05

Quiet these days. Although I have to admit I can't keep up with the Due May '09 thread. They aren't as nice as you lot anyway

Got bathroom fitter in this week. Now he is chatty! Hard worker too though to be fair.

No loo atm so might have a trip to Tesco in a mo to use their facilities. Might have to wash hair in kitchen sink before i venture out in public.

MJreturns · 07/04/2009 13:52

No loo and pregnancy doesn't fit too well eh Leaky?!
I can't quite believe it is two years since you lost your friend, the time just seems to slip by without me noticing these days. Hope you are ok and thinking of lots of happiness you shared together

StealthPolarBear · 07/04/2009 19:20

Big girls are away and B is missing them a bit Dh also away so it's just me and my baby tonight!

Leaky - sorry you are sad - anniversarys are hard aren't they because the weather and the light and the smells and everything is the same and it takes you right back to a terrible time.

Hi to everyone else as well.

Evening ladies

Welcome back Dooby!!!! Hope you are settling in in Blighty
What a nightmare you have had though!

Pillock, lovely to see you; sounds as though things are panning out.

Bramshott, glad the Dr's visit went ok.

Leaky, so sorry to hear you are sad. It must be incredibly hard. Hope you are ok xx

SPB, glad you are re-connected!

NL, good to see you. Bless your B missing the big girls. B is away next week, and I think K will be lost without her.

Hi to MJ, Pesha, Caz, Runny, Eddas, Ange, Elkie and everyone else who I am bound to have missed.

All ok here. K poorly this morning - puked up what looked like mucous (sorry for tmi) and was wiped out for while, but ate well at tea and seems to be back on form thankfully.

Mum had her scan today, but there will not be a result for a couple of weeks. I hate this hanging about.

Right, need to go to bed. See you lovelies tomorrow. xx

elkiedee · 07/04/2009 22:47

Happy birthday Theo and Jessie

Leaky, you must miss your friend

SOL, two weeks is a long time to have to wait for that kind of information - hope your mum's results are ok.

I went to a mumsnet meet up today in Coram's Fields (near Kings Cross) with the February 2009 mums and babies (and a few older kids). It was fun but I'd like to go back there with Danny (we took him there for his and my first visit in the summer but it's the sort of place which little ones get more out of as they get a little older - a park specially for children - unaccompanied adults are not allowed in).

Today wouldn't have been the day to take D though, he's not well this evening and apparently was quite poorly and distressed with it all day at the CM, with a temperature. NHS Direct advised settling him to sleep, cooling him down (just wearing a vest) and Calpol. He went to sleep ok for the moment. Our poor baby. DP is taking him to the GP in the morning.

CaptainDippy · 08/04/2009 07:35

Morning! Not a great night here, went to bed too late (my fault) & then DD2 pee-d the bed at 1am and wouldn't settle back down again. Horrid. Ah well, early one tonight me thinks.

Welcome to Blighty Dooby Glad you are finding it cheaper here! Belated Happy Birthday to M, hope he had a super day!

Hard for you thining of your friend, but so good to concentrate on happier times and the good things you shared Love & Prayers. xx

Glad K seems better now SOL

Enjoy your time just with your baby NL, where are the big 'uns!!?

Brain melted ....

Urgh, not having bathroom is yuk as well Leaky, hope chatty man is v.v.v.v.quick

morning

elkiedee · 08/04/2009 10:33

Morning all

SPB, thanks for asking. D's still not very well, but he'd picked up a bit this morning compared to last night, more talkative etc, and apparently in the GP's surgery he played in the waiting room like a mad thing and started trying to open the cupboards etc in the consulting room. dp said he was reporting that D wasn't his normal lively self and the doctor - who is a trained doctor doing a further stint of training to qualify as a GP - reported that D actually seems very lively again. Embarrassing but very reassuring to hear our crazy little boy is getting back to normal.

StealthPolarBear · 08/04/2009 10:48

Glad he is getting better!
T is always at his most active and healthy-seeming when at the docs!
