and here too becaroo just in case

becaroo Alfie had bronchiolitis at ummmmmm something like 14 weeks?? Poor baby was really miserable. Its all to do with the narrowing of the airways making it hard to breathe so I did everything I could to help him breathe more easily- vapouriser on, pillows under mattress to prop it up, snufflebabe on his chest. He woke more with it too, lots of little feeds in the night. My GP suggested trying to keep him as upright as poss in the day too, so naps in pushchair not flat. If i remember anything else I will let you know!! HTH

She's getting really enthusiastic about food and looked really funny today with asparagus coming out of her mouth like fangs

No crawling or separation anxiety here .... yet.

so...tell me I'm being over sensitive please. When I went ot collect ds1 they were finishing tea so I went straight to the digning room, which I don't always do. ds1 was sat on a table on his own, there was another table full of his peers, a further table with a couple of younger ones on and then some highchairs. Couldnt get a straight answer about why he was there, hadnt been naughty i dont think (he is always happy to tell me this! ) didnt seem bothered about it but equally didnt want to talk about it. Its a great nursery, I love it, but this is the first time I've been unhappy about something. I have emailed quite casually, just said, why was it cos ds was giving me funny answers. Its really giving me knots in my tummy. One of the things he said was that he was there cos no-one likes him Dont think that is true but still dont want thoughts like that even in his head IYKWIM

Hi just a quick one to tell you Toby has got bronchiolitis (sp?) I seem to remember that one/some of your LO's had this too?...any tips on what to do for him? GP says to keep on the AB's now we have started them, but is there anything else I can do for him?

Thanks x

Meglet · 24/03/2009 20:20

not sure about the new page layout

DD has been sick this evening, it's her first proper sickness bug, she's had water and is sleeping now. I hope a half decent nights sleep will sort her out.

becaroo sorry to hear about Toby. I hope he gets better very quickly.

plusone perhaps he just decided to eat alone just like some kids find a corner to read alone when they're at nursery. Sounds like he wasn't particularly bothered by the situation.

Sorry, everyone, we can see this thread has gone very strange.

I'm not sure that we can fix it tonight but we will certainly sort it out for you in the morning.

dont feel it was quite so successful last night, he was awake 1-1.50, then up 5.30. Still didnt give in and still persevering!!

still wonky here!

Hopefully · 25/03/2009 07:23

Well, we had our third pretty good night in a row - T woke at 1:45 and 5:30, after going to bed at 8:30. The big change has not particularly been having fewer night feeds (although he has gone from 3 to 2), but not needing resettling between the feeds (he has needed resettling only once all night the last 3 nights). It makes such a difference, as DP and I are now both sleeping for long chunks in between feeds, which is bloody amazing!
However, daytime naps have gone completely tits up - he will only nap in the pram at the moment for some reason. I'm not too stressed as he's happily going down in the cot at night, and when we've had it before I've just gently persevered with the cot at every nap time and eventually he's gone back in it.

digitalgirl · 25/03/2009 10:03

Yay, the layout is fixed!

We had a MUCH better night, even though A protested very loudly at being put in his cot come bedtime. He slept through till 4-ish, woke up peacefully, then got himself bak to sleep. DH checked on him to make sure he was ok and then we didn't hear a peep till 6:15 when he again woke up chatting (rather than crying).

Boobs still like rocks in the morning though. When will they adjust?

Oops, can hear him stirring from morning nap. Must go rescue.

becaroo · 25/03/2009 10:20

Hello...nice to see the layout back to normal

hopefully re: T's poo issues...are you still giving him a ff? If so, have you tried a comfort formula? Made a huge difference to Toby...poos nice and soft and much less discomfort from wind!!! (i used Aptail easy digest but I think there are a few on the market) Not sure if this has been recommended to you before (baby brain, sorry!)

Toby still sounds awful but has fed this morning so perhaps GP is right and he is over the worst (please, please, please!!)

Sorry to hear about your DD meglet Hope she is better soon x

Jesus, what I would give for 4 hours sleep in a stretch!!!

becaroo · 25/03/2009 10:23

Congrats on the new enphew lolly plusone I dont think you are over reacting at all. I am sure it is a great nursery but if you have seen something that has upset/worried you then tackle it straight away.

Got to go, Toby needs a sleep AND SO DO I!!!!!! (typed in a shouty voice)

plusonemore · 25/03/2009 10:46

turns out ds1 had the choice of both tables, chose to sit by himself, gets his anti-social side from his dad Its OK, like him having choices but wouldnt want it to happen all the time.
