Argh. Impetigo.

EachPeachPearMum · 04/08/2009 21:36

Oh dear... you? or DSs?

It took (my) DS's ages to clear btw... because it was back of his head, and babies are always lying on that bit [grr]

Is washer still fine?

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/08/2009 22:30

Blimey - that's 3 of us this year with impetigo!

Not a lot to report here. Birthday was pleasant, but apart from lunch out not that much different to a normal Saturday.

Either Jas or mrm free for a playdate next week at all?

Jas · 04/08/2009 22:36

Can you catch it through the internet I wonder?

I hope it clears up quickly mrm, whoever has it.

csws - The dds are in a club every day next week (mornings), but mostly free in the afternoons.....you could join me at the gunpowder mills on Wed as mrm can't make it if you want.

Ds is still awake and screaming at me because I said no more drinks.
We've been out all day, and I really thought he would flake out straight away.

Jas · 04/08/2009 22:38

Sorry about the total lack of punctuation there. I hope you can make some sense of it.

EachPeachPearMum · 05/08/2009 03:34

Jas- I feel your pain.... DD is so bad for begging for drinks after bedtime- mainly because I'm always coercing encouraging her to drink during the day so she knows I'm desperate to get liquids in, and of course it means presious minutes staying up after bedtime Of course then she gets to stay up longer because she needs the loo when she's falling asleep... little monkey.

I'm sure impetgo could be caught through internet usage... most keyboards harbour thousands of germs! but of course... your household is safe, as I'm sure the keyboard of a flyer wouldn't

mustrunmore · 05/08/2009 09:18

Thats life when you're grown up csws; birthdays are just pleasant!

Its ds2 with it.

Hopefully week one of my two weeks work next week so no playdate, unless you wanna pick up ds2 and take him to the mills with you and jas grin] ds1 working with me all week, but gotta farm ds2 out somewhere, as it would be a nightmare with both of them toegther. Should be free after the two weeks tho, before our 4 day hols in Southend.

Flamesparrow · 05/08/2009 20:10

Too tired to have taken anything in.

Fabulous time with Frizbe, slightly spoilt by dude getting poorly last night Silly high temp and general miserableness.

Far too many nappy emails wanting my attention - all will have to wait til tomorrow as they won't get coherent responses otherwise.

OP posts:
Frizbe · 05/08/2009 21:42

Hope dude (I know Jas, what am I like!) sleeps ok tonight for you Flame {{{Hugs}}} dd2 sobbed herself to sleep, when I said no toys in bed, she was a gonner by 7.30, dd1 flat out at 7pm after several 'I miss flames dd' I think you may have some pictures/penpal notes coming your way! Glad you home ok, hope the drive wasn't too long, did dude manage to undo the window?

MRM {{Hugs}} for the impetigo, we've not had that here yet but bet we will do now I've said that!

EPPM at solids, you can't beat a bit of baby drool and babycorn!

CSWS, lunch was good though? maybe birthdays will get more exciting again as they get older? (I'm starting to think a holiday on a cruise ship with major clubs for the kids could be good!)

Phoenix hope you enjoyed our mini meet yesterday? (we dragged her and her dh, around Meadowhall folkes! including standing in the worlds longest milkshake que for Flame!) Noah is gorgeous

Soooo what do you all have planned for this weekend then? I have nothing so far! dh is larping, so I guess I'll be lurking locally...is it the 2nd Saturday of the month? if so I may go to farmers market!

Jas · 06/08/2009 10:18

No idea re weekend. FIL has just been admitted to hospital It is his great grandsons 2nd birthday today and Sat is his party. Not really sure what is going on now....

DDs are at a club, to be collected at 12 along with three extra, so nothing I can do today (except take birthday by if needed this afternoon, so at least dps niece can go and be with him.)

Flamesparrow · 06/08/2009 11:10

Jas

DS has been absolutely fine since getting home . Both of mine are sat round in a daze today B keeps complaining that Willow is much bigger than we went away and that Daddy overfed her.

Outlook won't let me see nappy related emails I think it is trying to save me stress About to work my way through the orders and sort the stock list now If I don't emerge on here or twitter by the end of the day, you may need to send in a search party.

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/08/2009 13:59

Can't do Wedns I'm afraid Jas. I just have Thursday and part of Tuesday left to fill now .

fe fil.

Oops - gotta go.

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/08/2009 15:14

What is the work mrm? Am intrigued by fact that you are taking ds1 and could take ds2. Is it fruit picking?

Are you blw or purees btw EPPM?

Friz - cruise ship = nightmares about dc going overboard.

mustrunmore · 06/08/2009 19:49

Fruit picking??!! Whre did thtrandom suggestion come from?! And how is that a job that I may or may not have... you kinda just turn up dont you? Anyway, nah, tisnt.

Jas · 06/08/2009 20:46

Are you not telling what it is then?
(I can't think of many temp jobs you could take one or two children to do either)

csws. Looks like a no go for next week. I am out Tues and Thursday.

Look here at the ad at the top....unless they rotate, that is dd2 on the right!

Frizbe · 06/08/2009 21:53

Jas great picture of dd
about fil

MRM is it some sort of sports related work?
or are you doing acting 'extra' work! (figure you can take kids to that!)

Flame at bigger cat, ladies I have a photo which I shall load to facebook for you all to laugh at when I get a second, of flame with our balancing kitten!
(who incidently is curled on my lap, doing his damdest to prevent keyboard usage!)
I am in posession of dd1's first missing flames dd letter....will see how many I get over the next few days, and send you the choice ones! Glad dude is feeling better

CSWS they'd be fine!

I have toothache, sob, might have to visit dentist tomorrow if its not gone......tis behind an already filled tooth......does anyone know if white fillings don't last as long as the other ones? as this is the 2nd one to give me bother this year!

mustrunmore · 06/08/2009 22:51

Lol, this'll build it up to more than it is, but I'm loving you r guesses! (all wrong)

mustrunmore · 06/08/2009 22:52

Flamesparrow · 07/08/2009 00:44

eek for toothache

She really is convinced that DH has been giving her some sort of miracle grow stuff. I remember the shock of seeing just how huge DD's fingernails were after DS was born - it must be the same thing.

We have been too exhausted today for letter writing - I think she plans to start tomorrow. She is already asking when you are coming. Oh and is most concerned that she didn't tell Mr Meridian the house number

I have FINALLY finished everything bumfluff related. I feel like when I used to stay up finishing essays.

Me being conscious before about lunchtime tomorrow is unlikely...

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 07/08/2009 06:14

Is it helping at a summer playscheme type thing? (hence children okay too)

jas- for fil.... it is him who tried to cure his own broken leg though isn't it?

friz for toothache (though my white ones seem more solid than my amalgam... maybe it depends who put them in?)

BLW, except for porridge, which I am spooning, though giving him spoon too. Going very slowly (ie only fruit and veg) to try and work out what his actual intolerances are. My intuition tells me cmp, soya, and coconut.

He is really enjoying it though- looks so pleased and proud when he sits up to table with us grimaces at tastes quite a lot though... and its really hard for him to get stuff in as he drools on his hands so much that they're super-slippy and the food falls out!

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/08/2009 08:18

at coconut. I think he's the first person I've ever heard of with a coconut intolerance!

Soya = bloody nightmare, as I'm sure you've already realised! Are you baking your own bread, as it seems virtually impossible to get bought bread without it.

Phoenix · 07/08/2009 08:49

Lewis had his 3.5yr assessment yesterday. The HV was really pleased with him but is refering him to speech therapy because he can't pronounce alot of his letters/sounds properly. When the mw was here checking Noah last week she asked if he had tongue tie or just couldn't pronounce them yet. I didn't really know much about tongue tie so i googled it and i think that could be his problem. HV also thinks it could be.

He's got his pre-school booster on Monday too, really not looking forward to that.

EPPM - can't believe your ds is weaning already, how time flies. Saying that Noah is 4wk old today

Must go, hungry baby

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/08/2009 09:39

Oh yes, I'm supposed to book dd's booster for next week too .

Jas · 07/08/2009 10:41

DS had his boosters last month. He was fine, but doesn't like the nurse any more!

Flamesparrow · 07/08/2009 10:42

I'm being arsey and putting off jabs for another year - the rest of his jabs were late, and I don't get why they suddenly need doing a year earlier than they used to
