for Bumfluff closing down. Any news on blood results? Sure they'll be fine

Camping sounds fun EPPM . We haven't been since last June and doubt we'll be going while Noah is this small.

EachPeachPearMum · 28/07/2009 22:31

Flame, so sorry to hear you are closing.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/07/2009 22:33

Camping = hell
Teeth = hell

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/07/2009 22:34

Erroneous good in there =

Frizbe · 28/07/2009 22:53

Have a good night CSWS hopefully hardly any waking for you?

Jas, what is your old name? (email!)
Have fun in Norwich then!

EPPM I think a main adult ticket is £37, but we had a money off voucher from school so it was £17 adults, £12 kids, though they class 12+ as adult....Jas there's an ok amount of stuff for kids who don't like big coasters, there's the teacups, which are now called the gunpowder barrels, rapids, log flume (if she'll go on that?) runway train = fairly tame, theres a small whiz around pirate ship, that does circles rather than rocking, big swings, carousel, charlie n choc factory ride, the wettist ride on the park has to be the pirate ships, where you fire water at each other, I came of soaked head to toe even though I'd be using dd2 as a human shielf luckily there are dryers next door to it for £2 which fit a whole family, plus there's a whole kids area more suited to the younger ones = farm type area, but there's enough for the older ones too, ss managed ok even in that area and he's 11!

Flame for Bumfluff closing down, but for interest in the business!

EachPeachPearMum · 28/07/2009 23:06

I'm assuming the dining table is you csws? (did I miss something?)

Flame- if you can, sell it as a going business- you'll get a much better return!

Flamesparrow · 28/07/2009 23:24

lol @ the random good

I'm in talks about selling it. have shifted a hell of a lot of the stock in my house just this evening.

It got to the stage of too much work, for not enough return. had I managed things better in the beginning, then it would be ok (if I sell it she will be in a much better position because she has the customers and contacts, but not the debts!), but this last few weeks where I have been ill and been dealing with it all - it sank in what it would be like with a newborn. Plus the stock is currently where the crib was with dude

Dining table story c&p from other thread:

Table dilemma is that we have a big oval dining table that was in our dining room, but we turned that into a playroom last year, and the table is now in the breakfast room. I want the b'fast room to be more of a family room, with a sofa and smaller dining table, so that the kids have some space to play and can relax and watch the little TV in there whilst I'm cooking etc (archway into kitchen). So first dilemma is what to do with the existing table/chairs. Is fairly expensive oak table, so don't really want to just ditch it, but putting it into storage is seemingly going to cost around £1k per year shock, which doesn't seem worth it. There doesn't seem to be any way of selling good solid tables for any more than an absolute pittance , so we are stumped as to what to do with it.
Second dilemma, assuming we get rid of existing table somehow, is which new table to get. We saw 2 today that we like. One is a rectangular wooden table, that has 2 extension pieces so we can make it bigger when we have guests. The other is a circular table, that has a very clever extension system so that it extends with 3 rectangles that come out from the centre to make it still almost circular! It appeals to the gadget freaks in us! But it's just over twice the price of the rectangular table, and without actually having it here in the room to try out, it's hard to work out whether it will give us more or less space than the other one. And the sale on it ends on Saturday, so we have to be quick if we do want that one, or it will cost us even more.
And I've told dh that I'm not buying either until we've at least checked out what ikea have to offer, so we'll hopefully go there on Friday morning, as we're going to visit friends who are in the same direction anyway.
This is clever table (click to page 4 if it doesn't take you straight there).

CantSleepWontSleep · 29/07/2009 08:45

Oh the Saturday deadline is irrelevant now as have found the table cheaper elsewhere.

Frizbe · 29/07/2009 09:42

CSWS if I had the room I'd happily take that table off you as its gorgeous, I can't believe that no one wants it however as we'd need an extension the size of the garden to put it in, I doubt I'd be allowed it.......good luck with shifting it/storing it, don't suppose you could use it as a garden feature if you get it treated in some way?

Flame yay for shifting a lot of stock and for possible business sale

It's my birthday today I got Bongos been wanting them for years, dh finally got the message when I told him straight I also have a HUGE French Fancy cake with lots of little ones around the outside! off to Meris for birthday coffee now Have a great day folkes!

Happy Birthday CSWS

Frizbe · 02/08/2009 21:11

So we've run the kids ragged today at Carsington Water, fed them a huge roast dinner and now they're all still rattling on upstairs! the girls are now all sharing a room, very happy that dd1 and Flames dd are getting on great, dd2 and Boy are well bonded too, though they're not sharing a room! I think boy is happy that I let him have my 'pink' cake tonight (remainder of birthday cake, he's been hankering over since he got here!)

Jas · 02/08/2009 23:16

Isn't Boy Mr Flame? (or my ds)
Or maybe he has bonded with your dd2 and eaten pink cake.....

Happy birthdays those I've missed

No problem mrm. Work of any kind can't be turned down atm.

Back from a lovely break. The train with three children was ok, and it was nice to spend time with my parents and nephew.
