How are they still squabbling about Moldies??

OP posts:
Jas · 21/07/2009 23:29

I really can't summon up any interest in the Mouldie threads tbh.

mrm- No prob. I will be going every week any way. We can always do Ikea as well. I want to get dd1 a computer desk. Dp insists he can/will make her one, but if he hasn't by the time I get her internet access sorted (possibly next year some time at the rate I am going), I will be buying one from Ikea.

mustrunmore · 22/07/2009 09:11

Get one off freecycle

Ds1 really wants an old school desk, but that means ds2 would want one too, and i jusyt dontthink there's room in their room.

Jas · 22/07/2009 09:51

I have an old school desk which we won't need in the new bedroom. Not really bussable though.

Computer desk for dd1 needs to be tiny to fit in her room. I will look on fc later just in case.

mustrunmore · 22/07/2009 09:53

Oooo, why not bussable? have taken a single mattress on the bus etc

Jas · 22/07/2009 10:04

It is wooden, and heavy. You can have it if you want, but it is very bulky (and slightly graffitti'd)

mustrunmore · 22/07/2009 10:08

I want it. But just not sure how its gonna happen, as I dont think we could cart it round eitherikea or the gunpowder mills all day!

Flamesparrow · 22/07/2009 16:31

Quick midwife update

Bump right size for dates. I may have spd, or it may just be temp due to all the coughing - wait a fortnight and try to rest and see.

Apparently it is not helpful to have a bowl of frosties for breakfast and then do wee sample 1 1/2 hrs later . Big sugar indicators and she now has no idea if it is GD or a frosties issue She was taking bloods anyway, so has done a random blood sugar and will see from that if I need a GTT . I seem to recall doing the same when I was pregnant with one of the others though (coco pops), so I am fairly confident it is all Kelloggs' fault.

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 22/07/2009 17:30

at kelloggs

What you two need is someone who can drive to Jas', pick up the desk and then later or on another day shortly after drive to mrm's. I wonder if we can think of anyone who might be able to do that .

Hello

Have read but my sleep deprived brain isn't working too well

Hope all the poorly people are well now. No illness here yet, touch wood. (and no broken appliances either )

EachPeachPearMum · 22/07/2009 21:18

Hi Phoenix... how is it having 2?

We have been in teething hell for last 48 hours.. am v sleep deprived too! He doesn't actually have out through yet

Flame- had no idea coughing could cause spd? right...

Jas- DP building a desk reminds me of a friend who told his wife he'd build the cot.... um... she went to buy one at 39 weeks!

Flamesparrow · 22/07/2009 21:22

More that it is already stupidly softened "bit" (is it a muscle?), so I may have just pulled it rather than it be knackered for the whole pregnancy.

Yay for lack of disease or broken appliances in the house of newborn

OP posts:
Frizbe · 22/07/2009 22:33

Phoenix glad all ok with you, bar the lack of sleep obviously!

How's the washing machine then MRM? working (fingers x'd) hope ds gets better soon and it doesn't last for another week....

at the desk saga, we have an orange ikea computer desk going if anyone wants it? ya gotta come get it though!

Blinkin eck, they've just given Sven a job at Notts County!!! 'I ad a wheel barrow, and the wheel fell off'.....(tis the local football chant for County!)

Two days to go till kids finish here....how mad am I to consider Lego Land next Monday?
Oooh just seen Nottingham has an Urban Beach, might be worth a visit this hols.

Phoenix · 22/07/2009 23:02

Not too bad yet EPPM but dh is still off work. Ask me again on Saturday when i'll be home alone from 7am-7pm

We've to take Noah back to hospital for a kidney scan on Friday because he only had 2 vessels in his umbilical cord instead of 3. They didn't really tell us much about it but it can cause kidney probs but its rare and as he is weeing ok they think he's fine but he needs the scan to make sure. So with that and his missing finger they did really well at his 20wk scan

He's fast asleep on my chest right now but no doubt the second i go to bed he'll be wide awake. Dh has been in bed since 9pm though so he can do the night shift, there's a bottle of EBM in the fridge for later

mustrunmore · 23/07/2009 08:50

Washing machine ok yes

New problem. Ds1 still really sick, every half hour, v weak, and we've only got half a cheap toilet roll left! Neighbour out, dh out (was out till 11 last night so didnt get out to the shops). Also need other essentials. am v tempted to take ds2 and just leave ds1 for 5 mins

Flamesparrow · 23/07/2009 09:49

I'd probably do it if it were DD MRM

Legoland sounds like hell at all times Frizbe.

I have a feeling my nephew had that with the kidney scan Phoenix - it has never caused him any problems afaik (but it is Boy's family, so they may have ignored any problems or just not bothered to mention it )

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 23/07/2009 10:23

Yeah but legoland is great! But I think thats cos we dont queue for the good rides, and the waiting time on the little crap things isd shgorter! ds1 loves the johnny thunder show. I kike that little train that goes in a fast circle iyswim, and i LOVe duploland; always end up there in my underwear!

Falme, yes but what if there's a queue or I get run over or ds1 chokes on his own vomit while I'm out?

EachPeachPearMum · 23/07/2009 10:25

Legoland not a good idea in school holidays, really...

great news about washer mrm. Sorry DS1 is still so sick though, poor lad.

Flamesparrow · 23/07/2009 10:27

Does he look likely to choke on his own vomit?

For me, there is only one quiet road to cross so dying is unlikely, and there is never more than one person in there

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 23/07/2009 10:43

Lol, actually I dont have to cross any roads! But it does get busy in there. And it all takes so much longer with ds2 in tow, but I cant leave him here, he's lethal!

Jas · 23/07/2009 10:44

I've just left all three of mine to go and collect the car we are borrowing to go away for the weekend. I didn't get run over.

Could you put ds1 on the phone t someone who could call for help if he chokes or you don't come back?

If not, you'll have to put him in a buggy and take them both

Yay! for mended w/m though.

Jas · 23/07/2009 10:45

No roads - you'll be fine. Put him on the phone to you so you can keep him company with a chat while you queue.
