Gosh today has been the busiest this thread has been for ages

Hi Thell, welcome back to the thread

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow. I should find out next week what date they will try to induce me, todays appointment was just a waste of time. All fine with the baby though and he's measuring a bit smaller than last week (43cm last week, 41cm today) so midwife thinks he's engaged

Frizbe · 18/06/2009 19:52

good news then Phoenix, glad all well

Hi Thell!

Mr Y, is that the book with the red cover and black edging? I think someone brought it into book club this week, looked rather good, waiting for it to come my way!!
Am currently reading Dexter book 2, a manga and 2 x vampire books!

Will pester him for advice for you then Jas!

Thanks for the dates Flame.

Windy as an elephant after a curry up here tonight, our fence is hanging on by a thread and one of my sunflowers has snapped clean in two, sob, was going great guns as well, with a really thick stem, bah.

thell · 18/06/2009 21:12

Thanks Phoenix (and everyone!)

BTW Noah Rhys is a great name

Jas · 18/06/2009 21:16

That is the book, Frizbe

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/06/2009 21:17

But not as good as Duncan Elliot .

EachPeachPearMum · 18/06/2009 21:35

I was really freaked out when I opened the parcel! You just don't get black edged books....

EachPeachPearMum · 18/06/2009 21:35

Ooh- not long now Phoenix!

Jas · 18/06/2009 21:37

Don't you??
It is probably the reason dp chose it for me. He certainly wouldn't have read the back/done any research at all!

Did I mention that my friend whose ds was born on my ds' birthday has called him Leo?

EachPeachPearMum · 18/06/2009 22:35

spooky!

TheFool · 19/06/2009 07:48

I chose it based on the cover

Her next one has blue edges.

Frizbe · 19/06/2009 22:31

that's what I like to see, the choosing of a good book based on the cover and the edging!

Yay, I just caught up with my friends who have emigrated on skype! yay! bit actually as they rang me and I've only got my webcam sorted enough to take photos, so it was one way traffic, they have a great view of the skytower in Auckland from their aptmt at the moment though Fingers x'd jobs hold out with the current climate for them though, as 3 big tenders in the balance at one of their work places, which could mean job losses if they can't get them.......

Phoenix · 20/06/2009 08:24

2 babies already born on my July thread and another been induced today.

Hope everyone's ok , it's gone quiet on here again.

mustrunmore · 20/06/2009 09:32

I'm lurking. Cant even begin to summarise anythinbg in my life so wont bother.

Jas · 20/06/2009 09:37

Are you ok mrm? The more you don't say, the more I worry

Phoenix. Babies everywhere!

Dp had work today but the guy decided last night to pay a significant amount less for the job, so dp and his mate are not going in.

EachPeachPearMum · 20/06/2009 13:46

Jas- HOW can he do that? People are gits! (bloke not dp, of course!)

mrm- hope you are okay, because you sound v unhappy

Sit tight Phoenix!

mustrunmore · 20/06/2009 18:58

Yeah, I'm ok. Would be good to get together tho Jas; I know that ds1 still loves your girls Still talks about them!

Friz, tell me how to look strong and co ordinated at bdy combat, instaed of some flailing-armed aerotone bird

TheFool · 20/06/2009 19:10

That would be my method of doing it MRM

Also concerned

Jas · 20/06/2009 21:06

OOh, yes, would be god to meet up again. The dds also still ask
Not sure about when or where, though, as we are both carless. Any idea of where we could meet 1/2 way between us that I can get to by bus??

EachPeachPearMum · 20/06/2009 21:15

Went to opticians today (have had a floater in same position for 2 or 3 weeks)... have to go back again next week for further tests with drops, but it looks like I have a blind spot that wasn't previously there Hoping it's just a hormonal change, as my eyes always change loads with pg...

Jas · 20/06/2009 21:29

Sounds quite worrying. Are you ok?

EachPeachPearMum · 22/06/2009 01:36

yes... ish. Am a bit scared tbh... parents both have crappy eyesight. and I have a weird translucent blob that I keep seeing in my eye. Have to wait a whole week though as they coulsn't fit me in till then

Frizbe · 22/06/2009 09:17

Oooh EPPM {{{Hugs}}} hope you get it sorted soon and its nothing serious, I really should go and get my eyes checked out, haven't had them done since school and you're supposed to get them done every few years over 30 aren't you?

MRM {{{Hugs}}} body combat advice would be watch it a bit more on you tube! that's been the only thing to help me, but I often still end up doing it a bit wrong but so do a lot of the class so don#t worry! in fact I'm off there in a mo.

Jas, I hate it when people do that on jobs! and they assume cause you've started you'll finish.....and then it all goes wrong.....
How's the boy? behaving?

Phoenix, looks like you could be next then are you ready? am very excited for you!

TheFool · 22/06/2009 21:05

EPPM

Boy went in to have his tonsils out today. Staying in overnight. Looks very yellow, but is drinking (hurts lots).

DD decided to cut a hole in her school dress . I was more amused than cross though because the story she was sticking to very forcefully for a long time was "I fell over and it ripped". I pointed out that it is a nice neat triangle snip, and she has no scrapes on hands or knees, but no... she def fell over

EachPeachPearMum · 23/06/2009 06:11

Flame I used to have those type of falls too as a child....

Hope dh is okay though- it is horrible just in the aftermath... but never having tinsilitis again... wow- its priceless!

TheFool · 23/06/2009 15:17

lol @ your falls

DH is doing ok - been home since about lunchtime.

Dude broke my phone, so I am now stuck with DH's old lumpy thing. And there is a glitch with the shop (they tell me they are fixing it) which is letting people order things I don't have in stock, so I now have to contact them and apologise, offer alternative and refunds and look generally crap.
