I am a Very Bad Person. I keep reading the title of the grabbed face harshly thread and sniggering a bit at the choice of the word "harsh". Seems a very soft word for what actually happened!

yay for you having a good holiday Friz

I read that thread last night Flame. I can't believe some people live like that

EachPeachPearMum · 07/06/2009 20:52

Oh, I'm crap- I STILL haven't bought a car!
Glad holiday was good Frizbe!
We are in teething hell here... it's like dd all over again off to bed... not much sleep for past 4 nights.
mrm- are you okay? still lurking?

Whatever happened to Mehdi'smummy btw? She popped in once then disappeared...

CantSleepWontSleep · 07/06/2009 21:18

You've made me search for the thread, and I'm too distracted by her name change being incorrectly spelled to read any more than the OP!

Sorry for teething hell EPPM.

No idea what happened to MM. Maybe you scared her off .

Yay for good holiday Friz.

Jas · 07/06/2009 21:32

I searched, ignored the mis spelling and read. Way beyond harsh.

DD turned 10 yesterday

I'm feeling old and knackered.

EachPeachPearMum · 08/06/2009 11:01

Wow Jas! Hope she enjoyed her birthday...

DS asleep on my lap, periodically doing that gorgeous baby stretching thing they do... you know where they puff out their chest and make a little sleep grimace? and wave their hammer fists around....
anyone feeling broody? I am almost contemplating another
Of course I know the next one would never be as 'easy' as ds...

Phoenix · 08/06/2009 11:33

Don't say that EPPM, i've ordered another easy one

Hope dd had a good birthday Jas

mustrunmore · 08/06/2009 12:36

I'm here yes, but not been lurking, just not been on here at all. Have texted Flame a bit so she knows I'm alive. Sorry havent texted you lately csws.
What thread? Will go look.
Jas, I could do with a two sentence summary of what 10yr old girls actually do, and 7yr olds . Might be meeting some some with ds1, and not had any contact with little girls since I was one!

Ds2 has the worst chicken pox I've3 evr seen.

I've joined the gym, so can train 2hrs a day during nursery, and have a hot shower (boiler still broken since Nov), and cheaper than my other classes now not getting freebies Am doing 3hrs of classes back to back tonight . Core, body combat, body attack. Mihjt stay for yoga too, or just have a steam
Did Race For Life yest after missing the one I was supposed to do when ill. This one far more hilly! 28 mins; not bad given hills and the overcrowding. Plus half hour fast wwalk off the bus to get there, then same back!!

Have decided life tooo short for housework.

Frizbe · 08/06/2009 18:26

for the body combat MRM, I should have gone this am, but Star Trek was only on at 10.45 that we could make today, so I went to geek at that instead Yay for joining gym, sounds like you're having a ball Dh and I ran to pick up dd1 from school this afternoon, we went the long way, so prob a 15 min run, but not bad as the 1st time either of us have run in ages Guess I need to hit more classes later on this week and start eating like I'm not on holiday again

Jas, 10 hope you all had a lovely day.

EPPM, another one cute dreamy babies fudge with your brains!

So guess I have to go look for that thread now, doesn't sound good.....

Frizbe · 08/06/2009 19:14

Found that thread glad she's been able to take that brave step.

EachPeachPearMum · 08/06/2009 22:45

FWIW, I'm not sure it's genuine...

Nice to see you mrm! v busy I see...

new pic of ds on profile...

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/06/2009 12:01

Am glad you said that EPPM. I had another read and was a little dubious, but thought that maybe I was just too cynical these days.

Aww for Master Peach. He is looking more like you now.

Nice to see you mrm. Why no more freebies - a falling out with your friend? Are things better at home now?
Yuk for chickenpox. If it's gone by then, are you busy this weekend? Just occurred to me that I have enough spare car seats for the next fortnight that you could bring the boys up on the train and not need to bring any.

for turning 10. Hope she had a lovely day.

mustrunmore · 09/06/2009 17:20

Busy weekend but free on Friday until mid to late afternoon, if thats any use to you? Ds1 has inset day.

Flamesparrow · 09/06/2009 17:51

awww Master Peach.

I am steering well clear of that thread, too many alarm bells.

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 09/06/2009 22:07

Grrr DH was telling me about the nob he works with. Ex wife has custody of their two boys (6 & 4) I think. She had HV come round today because she wanted support and advice because the youngest is kicking, biting, generally Hard Work atm. He is now ranting that she clearly isn't coping as the DC are fine with him (2 days a week or fortnight - can't remember which, when he lets them do whatever they want , odd how they are no problem then), and he wants to take the kids away from her .

OP posts:
Frizbe · 09/06/2009 23:41

Oooh sounds like a right tit Flame.

Was it a dodgy thread then or not? Haven't been back to it!

EPPM your little man looks lovley

Jas · 10/06/2009 22:34

I think it may have been deleted.

mrm - IME 10 yr old girls tend to spend most of their time looking sullen, answering back and sulking. On a good day you may see pleasant, polite and helpful, but depends alot on who is around at the time.
7 yr olds are much easier....still running about, playing and chatting.

@ chickenpox. How is he now?

EPPM - he is all grown up!
Not broody here. Too old and tired for all that. There are always lots of babies to cuddle round here if I feel the need though.

No car is getting interesting. My feet are knackered from all the extra walking (did alot anyway, but ds' nursery is on the other side of town and he is now there 4 days a week.) I rode dd1s new bike home from Brownies drop off this evening. Nearly killed me!

DD1s birthday went well, but she didn't get anyone sleeping over which was the original plan, as it was to short notice in the end.
My brother has bought her a new computer It hasn't arrived yet so she doesn't know.

Frizbe · 10/06/2009 23:28

for dd's new computer Jas, that sounds great! lucky girl! Hope you'll get a sneak use of it too

Hope everyone else is well and not sinking under water (Phoenix, did you get lots of rain, or was it just Sheff?) we had a bit, and a drain cleaning lorry turned up at 5.30 and ensured all our street was done, so guess they're expecting some heavy downpours here tonight.

Phoenix · 11/06/2009 07:35

It started raining here about 5pm Friz and i think its rained non stop all night but don't think it was too heavy. It's more or less dried up this morning though.

Ds has taken to getting up at 5-5.30am again this week hopefully it won't last much longer and he'll go back to a reasonable time

Consultant appointment this afternoon for me

Phoenix · 11/06/2009 18:50

Consultant appointment went ok He was really nice and has given me 2 options.

  1. I'm going in at 38wks and they're going to do a sweep and see if they can break my waters to induce labour. They will not use prostin due to my previous c-section. It's completely my decision if they take this route.
  1. I have an elective c-section booked for July 10th (39wks)

They said it's pointless doing a growth scan as they know its probably a big baby. I was measuring 43cms today at 34+6 shock

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/06/2009 20:39

So if they do a sweep and manage to break your waters, what happens if nothing happens? Do you end up with an emergency c-sec? (Or would it still be classed as elective as long as baby isn't distressed?) I presume that if they won't use prostin, then they won't use syntocinon (sp) either?

Have you got names picked out yet btw? I can't remember.

Phoenix · 11/06/2009 20:45

Yes he said it would be an emergency c-section. He put in my notes 'not prostin' but didn't mention the other, is that the drip? He will be Noah Rhys

I don't really know what to do yet, i guess it all depends if ARM is an option.

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/06/2009 20:48

If they break your waters, then how long will they give you to get into established labour before they go for c-section? 24 hours?

Phoenix · 11/06/2009 20:49

He didn't say. I think i need to make a list of questions for next week
