Where is everyone tonight?

I've been out to Bingo for the first time. I really enjoyed it but we didn't win a thing.

EachPeachPearMum · 09/05/2009 22:48

Hi! We have been out all day, at BIL/SIL's having a fabulous time ... got back late, children were impeccably behaved (other than DS doing an enormous poo on arrival ) but both went to bed 2 hours later than normal, so think we will pay for it tomorrow...

Are you a lady of leisure now phoenix?

Phoenix · 10/05/2009 19:42

I sure am EPPM

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/05/2009 22:11

We've had 2 late nights for the dc due to daytime activities that we didn't get back from until past their normal bedtime. Didn't sleep in any later as a result this morning though, and don't suppose they will tomorrow morning either!

Frizbe · 11/05/2009 22:33

strewth where is everyone?

MRM you'd have to come up and stay for Monday to do body combat

for ds staying at GP's Phoenix and yay for finishing work!

Dh and I had a lovely day to ourselves today (although I still worked this evening) we did some holiday clothing shopping, so dh actually has trunks and shorts, whilst I have rather a few new dresses (its been a long time girls, but they're finally in a medium!!!! woot)

snurk at the snurk btw, she's spending too much time snurking with Meridian

Chloe55 · 12/05/2009 07:48

Morning ladies,

Had a hectic weekend so not been on much. It was far too drunken and only just feeling recovered Hangover and 3 yeard old does not mix well!

Also, started back on Slimming World yesterday due to the fact I have put on a stone in 3 months, I will not go back to where I was! Have a hen do in 4 weeks and will have to brace a bikini again. I need to get fat friends

EachPeachPearMum · 12/05/2009 12:57

mrm- maybe you could think of ways for me to begin exercising which don't involve going out of the house? gently, but I need to lose 2 more stones...

Can't diet- bf is making me eat! I am eating more normal portions though... just cannot drop the chocolate- I'm tired and I need it

Chloe55 · 12/05/2009 17:21

Have you got a Wii? Everyone is swearing by Wii Fit at the mo, I haven't personally used it but just an idea?

EachPeachPearMum · 12/05/2009 18:47

We have a wii fit, yes... good point.. I haven't actually used it yet (it is "DH's", got it for christmas)
I just feel odd exercising like that... maybe I should give it a shot.

damewashalot · 13/05/2009 10:51

Hello how are you all?
Never get on here of late, slightly addicted to FB which doesn't help but rl hectic as ever, comes from having 4 kids...... I must be mad!
Only read enough to spot Chloe is back, hi Chloe [waves] I'm off to visit fly thread and then get my bum in gear.

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/05/2009 20:34

Hello ladies. Not a lot to report here, except that dd didn't get up til 7 this morning! What an exciting life I lead where that is the highlight .

How is the bathroom going Jas?

How are things with you mrm? Any better?

Frizbe · 13/05/2009 20:38

Hi Dame!

EPPM agree with Chloe, get on the wii fit, great apparently (haven't got the fit bit for ours yet, but will be doing soon!) know loads of people who use it I've got a post pregnancy dvd I can send you if you want to mail me your address (possibly again!) helped me kick start!

Chloe, sounds like a good weekend of drinking anyway good luck with the slimming world

Anyone got any plans for the weekend then? we might go to the horsey show at Chatsworth, kids go free, so tempting, though the weather says heavy rain, sob....I want to put my sunflowers out as well, looks like no chance at the moment...

Frizbe · 13/05/2009 20:39

x posts there CSWS!

EachPeachPearMum · 13/05/2009 22:08

Hi all... not much happening here... think we're all coming down with something- DH and I are exhausted, and DS has been sleeping/feeding badly all day.
Yay for 7am CSWS!
Weather is dire Friz... is it really going to be a good summer?

Jas · 13/05/2009 23:43

I finally put a photo of the bathroom on my profile for you csws

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/05/2009 08:04

that looks great jas
The bath goes into an alcove behind the visible wall yes?
And how is the smashing up of the old one going?

Chloe55 · 14/05/2009 08:12

I want a wii Fit

Chloe55 · 14/05/2009 08:12

In fact, I just want a Wii

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/05/2009 09:09

Us too Chloe, but no £££ spare to buy one.

Phoenix · 14/05/2009 09:43

We've got a Wii and a Wii Fit. I couldn't tell you the last time we used either though. I am going to use the wii fit after this baby though.

Saw the mw on Tuesday and i'm now measuring 35cm at 30+4wks . I'm going to hospital today about my GD.

EachPeachPearMum · 14/05/2009 10:34

30 weeks already! erk... how did that happen?

Lol Chloe

I love the bathroom Jas- looks very hotel-like (that is a compliment... I don't mean Travelodge!)

csws- DH still not working? How are things on the rebuild going?

Flame- I'm sure you're lurking even if you're not posting... hope you're okay

mrm too of course.

Nice to see you Dame

Frizbe · 14/05/2009 18:45

EPPM hmmm yes wasn't it like this in May last year and indeed the year before when that nice April happened.....hope the floods don't happen again
hope you're not getting a cold.

CSWS was it 7am today (fingers x'd it was or later even!)

Phoenix, eeeek for the larger measurement for you, hope its not GD releated, although I'm sure I went bigger at one point with dd2, but then it all caught up ok. You can still use your wii fit now you know although can totally understand not being arsed to, as preggers so huge excuse not to!

Jas, loving the bathroom, particularly liking the taps in the wall, might nick that bit when we re do ours (sometime next year if I'm lucky)

I have two flowers on our manky clematis in the back garden (the one that I'd just planted three years ago, when dh had the bright idea to spray the fence with that ronseal stuff and sprayd the poor fledgling plant too It might finally be coming back to life!! (just as we detatch it from the fence, as we need new pannels....it never stood a chance did it

EachPeachPearMum · 14/05/2009 19:21

Frizbe- all the clematis just flowered here too- some amazing ones we pass on the way to nursery- they must be years old, they are so dense with flowers... the pinky ones at the moment.
I love it when they're climbing up over a doorway....

took an hour and a half to get dd to bed tonight... unbelievable... and she even said she was tired, and that she wasn't having her 'silly time'... still took forever with lots of tears and howling, gah!

DS seems to be coming down with an ear infection- still not sleeping or eating as normal, and keeps grabbing his ears. Drs for him in the morning.

Frizbe · 14/05/2009 19:32

Oh ouch poor ds
Dd2 is dressing up cinderella in doras clothes at the moment, rather than go to sleep, I've told her she can have 10 more minutes, then its lights out, I'm not in a mood to fight tonight.

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/05/2009 20:07

Could equally be teething don't forget EPPM - behaviours tend to be the same as for ear infection, so not very helpful in identifying which it is.

It was just after 7 Friz, but ds had had me up for half the night before that (inc from 3-4:30am), so I really needed it to be!

No, dh still not working. One suitable job came up on a jobs website (less than half the rate that dh is used to, but beggars blah blah), but there were 27 applicants all qualified to do the job. How on earth they picked one is anyone's guess, but it obv wasn't dh.

Patio has been done now. Has left us with a bit of a quandary. We were going to put a 20x10ft concrete garage/shed up, but seeing the patio all done (they pattern imprinted even under where the garage was going to go) has made us want to keep it all open, so the current plan is to put our table and chairs in that space, plus a small shed (toyed with the idea of a summerhouse too), and then put a tool store further up the garden in place of a bush (just to the side of the climbing frame).
Windows should be replaced in 2-3 weeks. Think guttering was done yesterday, but I've forgotten to look at it!
