Flamestorm · 26/04/2009 11:21

Jas - I was 99% sure that both the girls were dry daytime . Lots of DS's mates are still in day nappies too.

Jas · 26/04/2009 11:58

He was nappy free all morning yesterday, with no accidents, so we will get there soon

EachPeachPearMum · 26/04/2009 14:22

csws- I remember having thrush around this age- it was awful! soooo itchy and painful- much worse than having it as an adult.
thanks flame- will coerce encourage her to have a nappy tonight.

EachPeachPearMum · 26/04/2009 20:52

Well, we've been at a birthday party all afternoon... so got home way after bedtime- she was so tired, she didn't even quibble when dh put a nappy on her hopefully....
Afternoon was fabulous- so chilled and fun- lots of nice food bliss.

Jas · 26/04/2009 22:21

Glad you had a good day. I hope she is ok in the morning

The bathroom is almost done (last bit of tiling to be done tomorrow) so I am planning on getting ready to rip other rooms apart. I am piling up stuff to car boot next weekend, and will start emptying the old bathroom when ds is at nursery ton Tuesday.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/04/2009 08:56

Managed to get dr appts for all 3 of us this morning. I helpfully told them that a double slot would be plenty .

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/04/2009 08:59

Posted too soon. That's v exciting re bathroom Jas.

We're having our new patio ripped out and redone this week, but heavy rain forecast for today so they're starting tomorrow instead.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/04/2009 10:35

Back from doctors. Dd has thrush. Ds has impetigo. I have a mouth ulcer. Thank goodness prescriptions are free!

EachPeachPearMum · 27/04/2009 13:21

for house of the diseased csws

How do you catch impetigo? viral or bacterial? hope the patio is done in time for some nice weather!

Jas- yay for bathroom. What is the old one becoming?
I am being completely dim- where did you go on holiday?

mustrunmore · 27/04/2009 14:11

sorry, am here..lurking...

melancholymum · 27/04/2009 14:35

Hello, can I come creeping back? It's Chloe55 - changed my name a while ago when I came on to ask something and haven't yet changed back (mainly through laziness). Anyway, seem to have found a new love for mn again so wondered if you'd let me back in the club...pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaassssssseeeeee

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/04/2009 14:50

The use of antibiotics would suggest bacterial EPPM . It's apparently v contagious, but no idea who he got it from.

Phoenix · 27/04/2009 15:11

Hello stranger welcome back, what've you been up to all this time?

for poorly dc's and you csws, hope everything gets better with the meds.

EachPeachPearMum · 27/04/2009 16:47

you didn't actually say he had abs!

Hi Chloe

mrm... you have been posting on other threads whats going on?

phoenix- how many days left in work?????

Phoenix · 27/04/2009 16:56

Just this week EPPM. I'm here now, i only found out the other day that i can get online in the office so now i just sit surfing mumsnet until a customer comes in

melancholymum · 27/04/2009 17:41

I haven't been up to that much tbh. Credit crunch seriously hit us and was at quite a low point at one point. Debt counselling company is helping us get back on track though so that has helped hugely. Still childminding - enjoying it but work is still quiet, could do with a couple more kids in. Still trying for dc2, however, have been having some very positive early pregnancy symptoms - in fact my boobs have been absolutely killing today, not due on for another week so too early to test. Fingers crossed though, it's either that or I am about to come on anyway.

There have been a fair few pgs and births since I was last on, would anyone be so kind as to give me a rundown of goss I have missed out on in past year or so - i.e. births/marriages/divorces etc etc

Phoenix · 27/04/2009 18:04

Me and Flame are pg - me due July, Flame due october (photos on both profiles )

CSWS, EPPM and Damewashalot had baby boys.

That's all i can remember

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/04/2009 20:02

Sorry EPPM. Thought I'd mentioned ab's . Lovely neon yellow amoxycillin. He's not exactly co-operating about taking it .

MM - we spent most of last year in chaos having building works done, then a few weeks ago our shed caught fire and burned down, causing lots of damage, so we are now in building chaos again! Amidst all this we had ds, who is utterly gorgeous and smiley (when not covered in impetigo like he currently is), but milk intolerant like dd, and not a great sleeper like dd.

Dd is jekyll and hyde. Either absolutely lovely, or a complete and utter tantrumming screaming monster, the latter usually caused by tiredness, because she is still a crap sleeper. Dh has been sleeping in her room with her since she got jealous shortly after ds' arrival.

Dh has been out of work since end of Jan, so we have had no income since then, so are also economising where possible (not my specialty!)

That's my update in a nutshell!

EachPeachPearMum · 27/04/2009 21:34

Wow- good point Phoenix... we all had boys... you're having a boy... Flame- dc3 is going to be male I think!
You are v lucky mning at work!

Oh and flame- THANK YOU- 1 night with no pull-up... and no sore bits this morning

melancholymum · 27/04/2009 22:04

I knew you Phoenix was pg and that CSWS ahd a boy as saw it all on Facebook! A belated congratulations to you all!!

at the fire and no work CSWS - I bet that has been a huge strain

Sympathies for all the poorly bums.

Is MN a bit like a soap, do you reckon it will take me long to work out what everyone's doing and pretty much pick up where I left off

Phoenix · 28/04/2009 12:35

I've been for my GTT this morning so dh had to take ds to pre-school and pick him up. Ds' key worker pulled him to one side when he picked him up and said he'd grabbed a little girl around the neck a few times this morning. He says he doesn't know why he did it but she didn't do anything to him. I don't know how bad it was but the girls parents ahd to fill in an accident form

melancholymum · 28/04/2009 13:14
  • how weird!! Osc started back at nursery last week for his grant funded sessions (he hasn't been for a few months with me childminding) anyway, he had only been there seconds when 3 kids came up to him and told him off for when he bit them last time he was at nursery!!!

What's a GTT?

Phoenix · 28/04/2009 15:25

Glucose tolerance test to test for gestational diabetes.

EachPeachPearMum · 28/04/2009 19:54

When do you get the results Phoenix? Hope they're okay- csws's diet was pretty restrictive I seem to remember (not that that is anything unusual for her though, poor lady)

I'm sure ds was just playing and impulses took over. DD hugged me, then bit me on the arm this afternoon she looked very sheepish, and surprised... as if she hadn't been able to stop herself.

Funny that they can still remember though Chloe- they never seem to remember when you're nagging them to get their shoes on for the 50th time since breakfast

DS is no better- has been fretful all day, still no temp though. I actually caved and gave him calpol around 10 to 6- he is just not himself. He got really calm 1/2 an hour later though... and chilled off to sleep.... so something was bothering him
Had him weighed this morning... he has dropped down the centiles like a stone, though he has been off feeds this last week, presumably due to illness. (though that always made dd feed more tbh) gone from 92nd down to 65th over a month. They also did his length, and I have come to the conclusion that he must just have really big feet... he is in a 3-6 sleepsuit today- and it is too short- really, I won't be able to put it on him again comfortably... yet his size is only just above average, and he certainly isn't fat round the middle, nor is he insanely long. His footless all-in-ones fit well still, so he must just be big-footed... like his father.
MIL says when DH was born the m/w's first words were "My god- look at his feet" so MIL was panicking thinking- they were club feet or webbed or something.... m/w just meant they were huge. He is size 11 now...

Phoenix · 28/04/2009 20:23

Hospital said they would ring today if there was anything wrong with the test and they haven't so i'm assuming they're ok.

We asked ds earlier to show us (on dh) what he did to the little girl, it seems he grabbed her around the neck and dug his nails in, in a fit of anger or something. He still won't tell us why though.

for ds EPPM.

This baby is going the same way as ds, i'm currently measuring 30cm at 28wks. Ds1 was 9lb 2oz. An elective is looking more attractive
