Not so far... needs sunlight but there isn't any overnight and she will be wearing it today
Methinks I will be buying another after all....
It has lightened quite a bit, and thankfully the (hideous) pattern disguises the worst.
At least we're getting our money's worth... she just shouted from her bedroom ... 'Mama, Uniform begins with 'U''

Flamesparrow · 22/04/2009 07:44

No second hand uniforms or anything?

Dude seems fine today.

EachPeachPearMum · 22/04/2009 13:08

Flame- there is 2nd hand... but all summer dresses have been snapped up last term, and of course we weren't there then [grr] next year though, next year... I will be there in January

Glad flameboy is fine- very scary for you.

Jas · 22/04/2009 20:32

Oooh, scary running and falling. Glad they are both ok.

DS loved nursery He just went straight in and joined in.

@ the price of the uniform EPPM. Buy a big one and tell her to try and grow slowly so you get next summer too.

Jas · 22/04/2009 20:35

Just read back and realise I hadn't mentioned it. He started on Tuesday. 3 day a week to start with but if he is still enjoying it I'll increase to maybe long days to use my 5 sessions.

EachPeachPearMum · 22/04/2009 21:22

glad he enjoyed it jas.
DD kept her dress clean today... but got chocolate sauce all down her jumper... oh- my life is laundry from now on. at least it came out easily.

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/04/2009 21:52

Oh great stuff Jas. Hope you did something lovely with your free time.

Jas · 22/04/2009 21:53

I cut the grass

Jas · 22/04/2009 21:54

If I'm walking for drop off and pick up I only end up with 1 hr 45 to myself.

Flamesparrow · 23/04/2009 07:56

@ grass cutting

Ah yes, didn't think about that with the second hand. Yup, I'm with Jas, buy big and tell her to grow slow I'm stunned that DD's dresses fit her again this summer.

Yay for nursery going well Jas

Flame and EPPM - get yourselves over to the book thread so we can kick start and get moving again.

Please.

Frizbe · 23/04/2009 21:51

Hello, sorry I've been awol, life has been busy!

for ds legging it over the main road Jas, I dread dd2 doing something like that, just managed to catch her running out of the door at next home store earlier (went to buy her new curtains, was paying when she did one) dd1 grabbed her, seconds before I did....

Flame {{{Hugs}}} to boy, glad he seems ok though.

EPPM, once upon a time there was a stain remover for babies that got rid of that blomin tomatoey lasagne stain you're on about, but then the branding got changed or something and I've never found the right one again??? the oxy stuff just isn't the same, does anyone know what I'm on about/the product we both seem to need?! (it used to be in a pink and white tub from sainsbos, but wasn't own brand)

MRM 16k well done.

Phoenix boy!! yay, do you finish work next week?

All mad here, went out on great girls night out, one of our mates met a boy, who was with his mates, so we ended up as a gang and so we carried on our night at the casino till 4am was fab, made mistake of telling dh about going there with boys though, had a two day sulk, before he declared sorry (got scared I was going to leave him ) he's been extra attentive all week since, washing up, cooking, hanging washing out? seems he's self inflicted him a boot up the arse, which surely cannot be a bad thing.......rather that he totally got the wrong end of the stick though, I had to explain countless times, I didn't go with boys, friend met a boy and the rest of us kinda had to go along with it, as you do......wasn't me taking a boy to casino, but hey, a little jealousy seems to be working in my favour!

Have also been mad busy finishing dd2's room, so dd1 will finally get sleep tomorrow night, poor love is shattered, dd2's late nights are getting to her.

EachPeachPearMum · 24/04/2009 19:39

Friz- another wash and a dry in the sun, and you can't see where it was
hope casino night was good, regardless of fallout

ds is not too good today- virus or something. Dr not too worried, but she was concerned about his skin which she thought v dry and could develop into something worse... so now I feel like a crap mother for not doing anything about it. I just thought it was his cradle cap moving down slightly onto his face.

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/04/2009 20:47

What does 'could develop into something worse' mean exactly?

Ds has spotty chin - delightful.

EachPeachPearMum · 24/04/2009 22:20

She said dermatitis... but no idea how tbh.

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/04/2009 21:43

Skin complaints are fun aren't they EPPM. Think that ds' spots might be impetigo now.
How is your ds today?

Jas · 25/04/2009 22:55

Dermatitis is a very vague term which can mean almost anything.

@ possible impetigo. Do you know where he picked it up? (Not that it really makes any difference)

Frizbe - I was wondering where you had got to! I read your post the other night, but then our power cut out for no apparent reason and I didn't reply.

Well done on finishing decorating. (and getting a night out)

FIL is home from India, and has had the first of what may be many surgeries on his leg, and discharged himself after 2 days. He's not staying here as we just don't have the space, and he couldn't do our stairs, so DPs niece is putting him up for now.

EachPeachPearMum · 26/04/2009 05:45

csws- for ds... impetigo... is it hard to get rid of?

jas- ah the leg saga.... I had forgotten about that. This may go on for a while I think...

DS- not well, viral rash has spread- he is v unsettled poor thing. His skin though.... the more I think, the more I'm thinking eczema... prob linked to cmp intolerance
Its not tooooo bad, but I feel crappy for not having gone dairyfree properly, but I just CANT do it. Feel terrible about it actually, but I suppose its just normal baby guilt ...

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/04/2009 08:54

I think so EPPM. Didn't even know what impetigo was until I googled cold sores in babies and came up with an MN thread, which offered this as an alternative.

Meant to say that dd has had sore girly bits for a while now. She keeps fiddling with herself which doesn't help. I'm going to try and get her a GP appt for tomorrow too (they're going to love me!), but any ideas of possible things that could be causing it?
Thrush is the only one that I can think of.

EachPeachPearMum · 26/04/2009 10:05

spooky- dd has been complaining this morning too!
Have had a good look, but all looks really healthy
I thought cystitis- but no pain, no extra weeing.
Doesn't look thrushy IYSWIM.
Am scared- I searched on here, and some say worms... poor children.

Flamestorm · 26/04/2009 10:19

Not sure who is in night nappies and who not, but they can make sore girly bits, as can just the basic them not wiping properly. Far too many folds in there imo, always bloody sore. DD spends most of her time fiddling, nothing "wrong" but just uncomfortable all the time lately.

EachPeachPearMum · 26/04/2009 10:24

hmm- I wonder Flame- we switched to pull ups at night, and of course, they are plasticky chemical type.... she isn't used to that. Though she is dry 9/10 nights, so dunno

Flamestorm · 26/04/2009 10:27

DD is always worse in pull ups. One of the reasons we ended up switching to lifting her was to stop the soreness.

She's been back in them this last 10 days to get some unbroken nights sleep, but she is now sore again

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/04/2009 10:28

No night nappies here. Wiping not as good as it should be, but not bad enough for this.

Jas · 26/04/2009 11:17

Some of us are still in day nappies....

DD2 has always tended towards soreness due to not wiping very well.
