Great news pertelote, and Sambo thank you for the update

First day of the MSc today . I thought work were funding me but having talked to my colleague today I'm not so sure!! This time next year I will have handed my dissertation in (allegedly!)

CaptainCaveman · 12/03/2009 20:44

oops you are looking hot and gorgeous sibh those new glasses make you look very intelligent and sexy to boot

In fact ladies, you are all looking rather svelte and sophisticated this evening - have I missed out on an invite somewhere?

Sibh · 12/03/2009 20:50

Aw, thanks CC.
This time next year, you will have handed in your dissertation, and will be having a celebration party in your new house.

If you need a proof-reader for the diss by the way, at any stage, let me know. I love proof-reading and I'm happy to help out with disses, whatever the subject because I enjot it.

Sibh · 12/03/2009 20:51

That would be 'enjoy' obviously.
I can proof-read accurately, honest gov.

poppysocks · 12/03/2009 20:56

Hooray for pertelote and Marianne. Thanks for the update sambo.

Sorry for your shitey day Dizzy. Hope there's no nailgun needed tonight and the wine is open. And did you see the sensible Drs voted down the plan to tax chocolate. Thank the Lord! (Sorry CC)

dizzydixies · 12/03/2009 21:17

am eating minstrels now ataraxis so better thanks. my lovely friend from work phoned me to assure me that walking away from evil edna was an ok thing to do and I should stop torturing myself about stooping to her level etc

as soon as DD2 stop kicking lumps out of the upstairs I'll do the last round of the house and go to bed too

dizzydixies · 12/03/2009 21:19

ataraxis · 12/03/2009 21:23

remind her from me to be taking her arnica/rescue remedy please

dizzydixies · 12/03/2009 21:45

sorry X post, thank you VG, I just don't like to feel like I'm ever rude or ignorant to anyone and my actions were certainly VERY out of character for me today and it unnerved me some what

as my friend said though if I HAD stopped and chatted to her and let her coo over the DDs as if nothing was wrong all I would be doing is allowing her to believe that her malicious actions are without consequence, well in my case at least

she has been reported SOOOOO many times and spoken to SOOOOO many times and yet she carries on and you are absolutely right, I may have to put up with at work for the sake of keeping the peace but I will NOT tolerate it on my own precious time

anyway, enough said re that petty little woman

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 12/03/2009 21:52

dizzy what a day you have had I think that calls for plenty of tax free choc. I was out today and saw all the mothers day stuff and thought about you dizzy (as I had am angry thought about my mum. hope you are ok.
I just popped on to share the good news of Marianne, Pertelote says what lovely ladies you all are.
Sorry to those ignored, sooo tired lately.

LOts of good luck for you tomorow cyteen will bethinking of you.
xx

LoveBuckets · 12/03/2009 21:53

Your friend is right, politely walking away stopped her upsetting you more or maybe even stopped you going nuts at her if the hormones were blowing in the wrong direction. Anything else would have been selling yourself out and you would have felt victimish all over again.

Am definitely going grey here, there's no mistaking it. Anyone else grey on here? What does one do about it? Would love to let it go completely grey like my friend one day but she's 10yrs older than me so not jut yet I think. How about ashy blonde highlights so the regrowth is less dramatic?

dizzydixies · 12/03/2009 21:56

buckets am going grey too I hadn't noticed it at all until I went brunette as wee while ago and they all grew in hasty retreat back to blonde which DOES hide it more which reminds me am in desperate need of a 10yryoungermakeover touch up

and you're exactly right, I suppose I should be grateful I met her before the nappy changing hell otherwise I may have run over her with the pram

MiamlaHasADaffodilBehindHerEar · 12/03/2009 21:56

hey buckets i found my first grey hair when i was 17!

Dizzy - what a good way to look at the work stuff and as usual, so well said by VG. Weds sounds perfect btw. Shall we say morning?

I did see the overseas ones VG. Will see how we go with this one, but given that my one worry is weather, the French ones sound v promising... Glad you're going first so can pass on any tips.
