bed for me, hope you have a good night. Oh lordy, just realised that I haven't yet wee'd ds2. Hope it's not too late...

SAZZLES IS ON AMERICAN SOIL!
She landed just before 7pm my time. The airlines failed to load one of their suitcases. It will arrive and be delivered to their first destination tomorrow. Thankfully they will be at their first venue for two days.

Funny thing (this is so me me me), my dad texted just one hour before sazzles to say he landed back on Hawaii. He'd been in Peru and toured the Panama Canal, blah blah blah. So I had folks flying everywhere today. CRAZY LIFE...That Life O Mine.

I hope everyone is sleeping soundly.

Lalala trying not to have an anxiety attack over those of you who have DCs over 9kg. I know I shouldn't compare but can't help myself.

We have a tooth at last too!

Couldn't get him to have a sleep yesterday afternoon so we went for a swim instead. Meant that he had no sleep from 1.30 to 7pm

Peterlote thoughts are with you too.

Cyteen good luck for tomorrow. If I can pass anyone can!

ataraxis · 12/03/2009 06:53

Expectant, please don't worry, as I mentioned, dd is just over 6kg, pottering along the 9th centile and is generally very happy. They do tend to all even out in the end (like ds1 was crawling at 4.5 months but doesn't move any better than ds2 who was crawling at 8 months... (I am praying dd stays still until she is a 3yo!)

On the subject(ish) though - is anyone's LO sitting up properly yet? Lots of wobbling here but still weeble like (except without the capacity to stay upright).

TS

Coffee's on!

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 12/03/2009 07:33

Morning All

Expectant - DD is only 6.66kgs (scary)and she is almost 28weeks! Still in 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes. We tried 6-9 babygros last night and she ended up stuck with legs and arms in the body before she even got put in her cot

Dizzy - we got our invites printed from vistaprint - I'll see if I can find a link to the ones we used.

Ataraxis - our last we owned was like that - all renovations done, new carpets, floors, bathrooms and kitchens - sold and I got to live in the completed project for 6 months!

Pertelote and Marianne - you are in my thoughts and prayers to day {{{{HUGS}} for the Pertalote family.

Pleased Sazzles has landed safely - Now be sure to look after her TS - We want her back, she is not for keeping!

Will catch up more and be back later with new computer and new hair colour and cut

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 12/03/2009 07:35

Ataraxis - DD has been sitting for about 6 weeks but only got really stable in the last 2or 3 she will not happily sit and pplay for 20-30minutes without falling over, but she will whinge endlessly if we don't play too

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 12/03/2009 07:36

that should be - she DOES sit and play happily

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 12/03/2009 07:43

Dizzy this is the one we used here the piccie is DD but the words are defintely not!

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 12/03/2009 07:44

ooh I've done a TS like ramble

LoveBuckets · 12/03/2009 08:06

Morning all, just psyching myself up for wearing 20lb+ Kurt for over an hour in the Moby as DD has a special assembly this am. Trying out some new cheapy baseball boots too which will probably cripple me.

Did I mention I'm going for burlesque lessons tomorrow night? My childminder is dressing in corset, fishnets etc all day for Comic Relief and hosting a burlesque lesson/evening/pissup too. Bought some supercamp bright pink patent heels in M&S especially for the occasion, far more comfy than the baseball sneakers actually. And Sainsburys has some really nice flattering cardis and t-shirts long enough to cover muffin tops, all v cheap.

LoveBuckets · 12/03/2009 08:09

Expectant Kurt is at least 75th centile and was even when he was exclusively BF, he's just a big beefy hunk. My DD was/is 25th centile. Nowt you can do about size really.

hotterpotter · 12/03/2009 09:05

Morning all

Ataraxis my DS is more than a month older than your DD but he still can't sit for more than a few seconds without support. Not crawling either but he does manage to get where he shouldn't by a combination of rolling and commando-style wriggling . We have had bum-in-the-air wriggling the last day or so; think he might be ready for off...

Proud mama time, he can't sit but he can say mamamama and dadada and bababa. DH swears he said cat yesterday

Oops did you have any trouble with Vistaprint? I have read terrible stories online of their customers being unknowingly signed up for a reward-type scheme without realising and being charged £10 per month for months until they checked their credit card statements properly . I did buy some calendars from them for Christmas and was happy with them (and didn't get signed up for the dodgy scheme, phew) but I have definitely noticed an increase in rubbish spam emails ever since.

Buckets burlesque sounds fun hope you enjoy it.

Glad to hear I am not the only one with a lemon house . Well the house itself is OK, small 3 bed semi, lovely v long garden, but the next-door neighbour squirts lemon juice from both sides. He has recently bought and is renting out the adjoining semi, and he owns and lives in the two semis at the other side. There are bits of cars, weeds, rottweiler, a massive badly built extension etc etc . They are nice enough people, and have expressed an interest in buying ours when we move so could be worse I suppose.

PF what kind of civil servant are you [nosey emoticon]? I'm a DWP one, work here at Quarry House No as impressive as it looks!

Speaking of which, really better get some work done on my aplication...

Pertelote and Marianne thinking of you all day

AnnVan · 12/03/2009 09:26

Morningall.
All this talk of weight. TBH I have no idea whatsoever what Seb weighs. Hehasn't been weighedsince Christmas time

He's having nappy off time at the moment.
I was going to reply to loads, but of course I have forgotten what.

AnnVan · 12/03/2009 09:29

Ok, might be a bit dim, but what is a lemon house?

On unsupported sitting - Seb can do it for a few minutes at a time. He's fine until he reaches for something, at which point I have to be ready to catch him pretty sharpish before he falls flat on his face

longwayfromhome · 12/03/2009 09:50

Just to reply to the last few messages - DS doesn't sit yet and was referred to an endocrinologist for being too big, whenever anyone sees him they say "how huge" and so I think that perhaps we just worry about our babies whatever size they are - I certainly worry even though I am pretty sure that he is OK too.

But really I came on here to post the nice story that we were woken at 6am by him turning on mobile (think flashing lights, nursery rhymes and dancing soft toys) so although he isn't really hitting any milestones he has clearly demonstrated his lack of any good taste at all through his liking for this tacky monstrosity.

hotterpotter how lovely! Well done chatty baby hotpot!

ataraxis · 12/03/2009 09:57

hotter, fab!!

ann, I hadn't had dd weighed since 12 weeks either until last week. Lemon house (like the car ref) = one that you thought looked ok, but turns out to need a whole heap load more work than you had thought/things wrong with it that you hadn't anticipated.

lwfh what a lovely way to wake , think I would have thrown it across the room at that time!

buckets, are you going to post a video for us?

Have to do some work now before I get fired for spending too much time on mn being unproductive [grumpy emoticon]

sambo303triesforScotland · 12/03/2009 09:59

mmm krispy creme donuts....

ataraxis my ds can sit ok though sometimes falls over ,he is also good at clapping! But no rolling/movement (phew)

expectant I dont think my ds is 9KG yet, got him weighed in Jan and he was 6.67kg, 50th centile all the way.

Keeping everything crossed for Marianne and Pertelote today - praying that all goes well

hotpot good luck with the application - at least when it's done you can go back to enjoying being with your LOs

cyteen · 12/03/2009 10:01

Hello lovely ladies

Thoughts are with pertelote and Marianne today...

Our LOs are all so different aren't they? Joe can sit quite strongly and has good balance, but still hasn't rolled over once and isn't mobile in the slightest. I think it's because he's been carried so much, so has strengthened his back and learned to balance himself upright, but hasn't spent much time on his front or just being left lying around to get on with it [over attentive mummy emoticon].

Buckets your burlesque piss-up sounds like a right laugh Do remember to post some pics afterwards

oops what hair colour and cut are you going for? I'm getting mine cut on Saturday (at last!) and am wavering between keeping the length but getting it tidied up and having an ear-length chop.

After a night of 3 hourly wakings from a very hungry boy, I have concluded that I do need to be giving 3 meals a day after all When I was managing to serve up breakfast, lunch and tea he was sleeping for much longer periods and not needing to be fed back to sleep at night, whereas this week I've just been doing breakfast and lunch and he was genuinely hungry at 11pm and 2.30am.

Onto our 3rd day of runny poos here after a surfeit of plum and pear earlier in the week (sorry for morning TMI) so DS has had toast strips and yoghurt for brekkie.

sambo303triesforScotland · 12/03/2009 10:03

oh my goodness, I too have a lemon house!! and every job we try to do uncovers 10 that need to be done first! (thanks Ann I did not want to seem dim and ask what one was)

ds is asleep in his own room

cyteen · 12/03/2009 10:05

At least you guys own your own houses...as a serial renter I am at the mercy of other people's crappy decor and home 'improvement' ideas. There is no way we are spending another winter in this house, for example - big loft conversion and wooden floors are nice but don't exactly keep the heat in.

Hoping to buy somewhere this year...are we mad?

AnnVan · 12/03/2009 10:06

I'm a bit hit and miss with solids for seb. He's tening to have 2 meals a day at the moment, but I'm not very consistent with it. Seb isn't that keen on his plum & pear. I have a mango so waiting or that to ripen so Ican puree it.

LoveBuckets · 12/03/2009 10:25

Longway and Expectant If it helps we can look up their weight on one of our NHS charts for you just so you can feel more at home.

Will def get some pics as I tried on my outfit yesterday and it looks great! Wearing a skinny black vest under black lace basque with long tight black fishtail skirt (which has magical tummy flattening power somehow). And cerise dragqueen shoes which don't go at all but hey, it's Comic Relief!

poppysocks · 12/03/2009 11:49

Well done for getting galvanised for Comic Relief buckets. Will be taking DD1 into town later to pick her nose (ho-de-ho).

LOL at all the lemon houses. We chickened out of buying the sort of house that Kirstie and Phil would have been proud of - potential, character etc. a few years ago and plumped for a new-build. Am now a convert . Well, for this time of life anyway. Love the fact that there's v little that we ever have to do, plus we're in town, which I love (character in this town is expensive thanks to bankers buying it all up for holiday homes ).

DD2 was 7kg on the nose when she was last weighed a fortnight ago, at 28.5 wks. As you all know (), I have been worried about her weight gain but she's really long so she is growing. DD1 was always average or a bit above as a baby and is now on the small side. I suspect that DD2, despite being smaller now will eventually outgrow her big sis.

E has finally stopped toppling backwards whenever she tries to look at anyone who's standing nearby so she's good to go (or not - just sit without need for cushions now). Phew! No sign of any crawling yet too. Double phew.

DH back at work now after our break away. It was a good break though and great to see the ILs. DD1 was brilliant with them and vice versa. Now she's getting older they're really getting her and were a great help too. I got a stonking cold on the first night there, DD2 followed the next day and DD1 after that. Think we're all on the way up now though.

Thinking of you lots today pertelote.

This has taken literally hours to type so I'm sure there will be tons of X-posts....

Expectant · 12/03/2009 12:02

Thanks all I know I'm worrying about nothing really but as DH says if I didn't have something to worry about I wouldn't be me! Sam is on 25th centile despite having started off on 75th centile plus he's never been a good eater.

lwfh dnephew was 12.8kg at 9months (at the very top of the charts).

On the other hand he can sit, crawl and pull up to standing and is incredibly active so I'm guessing not too much wrong with him developmentally.

Cyteen should be a good time to buy provided people are still putting their houses on the market.Could get a real bargain - hopefully not a lemon.
