Bonne nuit Steaky

poppysocks · 06/03/2009 22:18

I'm up for a Paris meet-up. Off there tomorrow in fact, so see you at the top of the Eiffel Tower?

hotterpotter · 06/03/2009 22:42

Haven't been to Paris since 1983 I think [long time ago emoticon]. Hope you have a lovely time Poppy, bring us back some stinky cheese please

ataraxis · 06/03/2009 23:05

For some reason that I cannot fathom (unloess dh has somehow done something incredibly naughty with my laptop to stop me chatting to you guys), I simply cannot read this thread without the programme crashing. It has taken me all night to get to this point.

So apologies for not responding to anyone, but I can't read the posts

Tis DS2's birthday tomorrow. I cna't believe that my baby boy is going to be 4!!! I remember the day he was born (well, the day before as he was born at 12.07am) like it was yesterday.

Wishing you all a good night (in all the ways it could mean)..

hotterpotter · 06/03/2009 23:21

Happy Birthday midiataraxis

I hope there is plenty of cake left over

Bed time for me too now, night all xxx

Morning all [matchstick emoticon]. Normal service resumed here - DS up at 2, 4, 6 and then up for the day at 6.45, DD convinced it's morning at least an hour before she should be up "because it's light outside" (cue tired tantrums later on ). Oh well, have left DH to snooze for a bit in the anticipation of it being my turn tomorrow.

Sazzles I hope your poor DD1 managed to sleep OK and you did too. How long till beach time?

sambo303triesforScotland · 07/03/2009 07:40

morning hotpot

we had .... drum roll..... a good night!!! {smile]
dp has started boarding the loft wow it's 7.30am!! Ds slept for 5.5 hours in a row and we feel fab-u-lous . He was in bed with me - I fed him at about quarter to one and he did not wake til 6.30am when I moved him cos he was taking up my whole side of the bed. He may have slept longer if I'd not moved him. Am wondering if he has been lonely in his bed (this is the first night he's spent in bed with us all night) or maybe he doesnt like his hammock cos it moves when he moves - maybe he'd prefer a solid cot. I picked up a cot bed last night from a fellow freecycler (it's a nice one) so he may be going into that for trial!

Hope others have a good night to report, have a wonderful weekend everyone

hotterpotter · 07/03/2009 07:48

That's brilliant Sambo, it's amazing how much better you feel after a little more sleep than usual

Have just gone to the fridge to get the milk out and seen the post-it note reminding me to go for my smear...yesterday. Oh shite hope I don't get in too much trouble. Only made the appointment last week, how could I have forgotten already?????

alittlebitshy · 07/03/2009 07:52

nope - rubbish night here. Can't remember the details. Have left dh snoozing cos although i fed twice he was doing all the settling either side of the feeds.

When will it get better? I feel quite wretched and desperate today. I know ds can do it, so why the feck doesn't he more often?

TwilightSurfer · 07/03/2009 07:56

2:50am! headache from hell! dcs sleeping. guess i can't have it all can i.

Ouch TS hope you've some strong painkillers that kick in soon and let you get back to sleep.

ALBS I know what you mean. DS slept happily from 8pm to 2am, so why was he awake again after only 90 minutes? He doesn't really cry, but I can't leave him because he chunters really loudly and wakes DD which leads to the next level of hell. She was awake at 6 too, DH managed to get her to stay in bed till just after 7 but she's really tired and still full of cold so we have had tears because she wanted a drink from her bedroom cup, because she wanted socks on, because I wouldn't let her play on the computer, because I said I needed a wee, you get the picture...She decided she would go back to bed but when she got upstairs started crying again because she didn't want to go back to bed, aaaarrrghhhh. She's tucked in now, hopefully a little kip will sort her out.

Will your DH reciprocate and let you have a lie-in tomorrow? I suppose being a vicar's wife means that Sunday isn't really a lying around in pyjamas day, any chance you could have a nap this afternoon?

Am so frigging tired it's all I can do to feel sorry for myself . Please can someone make these babies sleep through the blimmin night?! Dh was away last night so I had both the boys to myself . O fed at 7, 9, 12, 2, 4, 5 & 6. We called it quits at 6.45 and got up. Man I'm tired. My eyes actually hurt.

Where's the red bull......

DS has decided that he wants less than 3hrs sleep at each time again He's gone back to hourly wakeups hey ho its sunny outside so we're off for a walk soon

someone could make a fortune by working out how to get a baby to sleep or even just work out a way so the mums can sleep!

DP just asked "you're not on the forum are you?!" so think i'd better toddle off

sunny days to all of you, see you later

alittlebitshy · 07/03/2009 11:50

brain is all spongey today. it WILL get better won't it?
waaaaah

dizzydixies · 07/03/2009 12:22

no better here either, DD2 only stopped at 9.30pm, I took my tooth to bed at 10pm, Dylan up at 11pm, DH home at 2.30am, DD2 shouting at 4.10am, Dylan in with me at 5am and DD1 up at 6.45am - WTF?!?!?!?!!

had minor melt down for no good reason but have since pulled myself together, sent DH back to bed (he's nightshift tonight), put stew in slow cooker so we could potentially be eating tea at about 9pm

DD2 just keeps marching about demanding biscuits and getting to go swimming - SO not happening today, DD1 home from dancing and now playing happily with her beads and Dylan napping

tooth throbbing in background but touchwood not too bad at moment

dizzydixies · 07/03/2009 12:24

over your hols Sazz
over Paris Poppy - safe travels
over gym VG

I think its going to be a rather childish day in the dixie household and have a horrible feeling I mean me and my petulant stamping and pouty lip - not the kids

TwilightSurfer · 07/03/2009 13:37

dizzy i had a mini-fit around 6:30am. dd1 had crawled into bed with us. reese woke and was chatty. my head was THROBBING. dh was trying to ignore all the obvious so i got up and said YOU HANDLE IT. as if there was a lot to handle other than me being 3 years old. i went to the spare bedroom and slept. i woke with a floating dora balloon over me. that could be an omen. head is stopped up and yes the headache is still with me. i just want to cry. i have so much on my list of to do's today. sazzles i might wind up at the beach with just my flip-flops and a bathing suit (pf ) and nothing for any body else.

Hi all. Big, BIG hugs to everyone needing them.
I actually had a decent night. I was shattered by ten. Left Seb with DP at about 11 and went to bed. DP put him to bed about 12.30 and that was it. So I feel really good this morning.
I was really feeling the strain as well. Mind you, you all know that as I was doing my share of moaning yesterday.
It is frustrating when you know they CAN do it, but just won't for some reason. Ah well. We're going off shopping when little man wakes from his nap.

alittlebitshy · 07/03/2009 16:06

Ds has been in bed since just after 2pm so when he's tired enough he will happily nap in there. bedtime is no issue either - but for some reason he had the odd meltdown at the idea of being in his cot in the day (and the middle of the night it seems at the mo ).

MiamlaHasADaffodilBehindHerEar · 07/03/2009 16:55
