Yeh simps - No's dont work with DD either. LOL. Maybe its a girl thing? lol.

simpson · 29/03/2009 21:35

LOL it might be

I really do have visions of DD being a real bully madam and terrorising the smaller kids at toddler group

LuckySalem · 29/03/2009 21:36

Simps - DD's already doing that. She tries it with the big kids too but I tell them not to give into her.
When she takes stuff off the smaller kids I go give it back and move her away but you can almost guarantee as soon as I've sat down again shes got it again.

simpson · 29/03/2009 21:41

LOL at A

Molly is still the youngest at her toddler group as most of them are at least 2. I reckon once she is on her feet she will be even more assertive

LuckySalem · 29/03/2009 21:43

Honestly you'll probably find that Simps. DD was quiet as a mouse till she started crawling then she got a bit louder. Now she's walking she's one of the most boisterous MONSTERS there!

simpson · 29/03/2009 21:47

Molly is definately getting louder

She learnt 2 new words this weekend.

DS's new thing is to sigh very loudly and say "Oh man!"

DD now says "maaaan" with a big sigh too

Also since she has been standing I say who is a clever girl standing etc and now Molly says "standing" every time she is on her feet. although it comes out "danding"

Lilyloo · 29/03/2009 21:47

Yep Lucky the emergency bag for the car has been packed into the boot

OP posts:
simpson · 29/03/2009 21:49

Lilyloo - that reminds me of DS's emergency clothes & nappy etc when he was at playgroup.

It had been in bag so long that when it was needed the nappy was a size too small and the trousers once on looked like shorts I was mortified when I picked him up!!

LuckySalem · 29/03/2009 21:51

Aww bless Molly.

Just been talking to one of the girls from babyclub on Fb and she says that the woman in question is very hit and miss with her boy. So maybe its worth just ignoring this one but really made me cringe.
The girl on FB said it was a bitch slap so I know now that I wasn't overreacting at least.

Lily - Did you notice on the thread about my auntie's dog weeing on my trousers? So I'm going to pack some clothes for me too!!

simpson · 29/03/2009 21:59

Might be better to befriend her instead then say things like "kids can be hard work, can't they" kind of thing...

LuckySalem · 29/03/2009 22:01

Apparently they've all tried that and she wont talk to anyone out of babyclub and in babyclub she takes you off the subject of kids straight away.

simpson · 29/03/2009 22:03

Maybe she is finding it tough being pg etc.

Do you think it would be worth talking to HV?? Not in a bad way but so they can help her cope more iykwim. More support etc.

How pg is she?

LuckySalem · 29/03/2009 22:09

Well, I'm thinking I'll pop in on tues to the babygroup and speak to them quietly.

Shes 25 weeks I think.

LuckySalem · 29/03/2009 22:15

Can I ask you all a rather personal question?

I've been finding since having DD that my baldder isn't what it used to be. I used to be able to need a wee and then wait for 30 mins or so before HAVING to go (normally enough time to find loo) but now I normally only get 5 mins warning before I'm running up the stairs. I'm getting very anxious while out always looking for toilets.
Just wondered whether I should get it checked out really.

simpson · 29/03/2009 22:23

Might be worth mentioning to HV otherwise its doing pelvic floor exercises

Also with each pg you have it might get worse...

After DS I was fine but have noticed I can't hold it in as long after DD

Lilyloo · 29/03/2009 22:24

Get that pelvic floor working with your exercises Lucky! At least you can do them and mnet at same time

Oh and our news today!!!

OP posts:
Gingeme · 29/03/2009 22:26

Ladies trust me its not a girl thing. George totaly ignores 'no' too
Lucky I would say a weak bladder goes with the terratory of motherhood but I would advise you to check it out anyway. Especialy if its only happening recently
My bladder is pretty weak especialy if Ive drank too much tea.

simpson · 29/03/2009 22:29

LOL at MNing and pelvic flooring at the same time

LuckySalem · 29/03/2009 22:31

Lily - Have replied on your thread Hope its usefull.

Pelvic floor? That's where you squidge your inside muscles isn't it? Ok will try on those. My problem that I noticed today is that (TMI and so bear with me) if I dont go straight away and hold it then it kind of builds up inside me so I have to walk up the stairs with legs pressed together.

simpson · 29/03/2009 22:33

Lilyloo - how exciting!!

I know the football team me and Ange support take youngsters from 5.

Lilyloo · 29/03/2009 22:36

Thanks Lucky that's my dilemma not doing it and ds never getting the chance again!
But he is still my baby and i don't know how he will find it as can imagine it is very different to the local football league iyswim
It is exciting too Simps but scary.
Also it may not lay so well with him as it's the other half of Manchester than the blue one ironic seeing he had his city kit on today lol!!
God this parenting lark is so hard!!!

OP posts:
LuckySalem · 29/03/2009 22:39

Lily - Make the decision yourselves and if you decide yes then tell DS. If its the wrong side of manchester he may say no. I know DP would never play for liverpool so who knows?
Personally I dont think it'd be a huge issue. I'd want DD to be involved in stuff like that as much as I could. Although like I say if they're bollucking him for losing then he may be abit young to cope with that?

simpson · 29/03/2009 22:42

Lilyloo - I think if you do go for it just tell him its another opportunity to play footie iyswim. So he doesn't have the waiting and "Am I good enough" worry.

Call me naive but i would have thought they are fairly gentle with young kids too coaching wise and what they expect them to do iyswim.

God it is hard to know what to do for the best though....

Lucky - thats its!! Hold wee in mid flow too, best way to exercise those muscles

Lilyloo · 30/03/2009 10:07

i had to wake ds up at 8 am for school , unheard of

OP posts:
LaTrucha · 30/03/2009 11:39

Lucky - I do the occaisional squidge with my pelvic floor. I can usually hold it but I do find that if, how can I put this? If I need to go and my body sees no reason for me not to go (ie. I'm in the bathroom) I have to get there pretty sharpish!

Lily - I know nothing about football really (except that FIL was a professional - I think from about the age of 15). HOwever, i do knwo from ballet that they can tell pretty early if a child has the physical capability to do it. Not all of those will go on to be able to be dancers, for various reasons, and this is what would worry me (ie. putting expectations into his head). Of all the girls in one generation at one ballet school I know of, not one has gone on to be a ballet dancer. Some are working as dancers on cruise ships ....

Sabela finally went to bed at 11.15. Up at 6 double
