Well given that most people think he's named after a heroin-addicted suicide I think Morrissey's a much better role model. He's actually named after Kurt Vonnegut (a pre-cursor to Terry Pratchett for common sense, humanity and humour. But without the trolls etc.)

No chance of being pregnant sadly, nothing like that happening here.Only manage dit once since ds was born
He did say last night 'oh do you fancy it?'
then pause... then jokingly (or not) 'seeing as you have lost some weight'
cheeky fecker.
Could be premenstrual, not had it back yet though so god knows.

LoveBuckets · 16/02/2009 20:39

LOL he's not a charming man is he?

LoveBuckets · 16/02/2009 20:39

Ooh, there's a game, ramming in Smiths/Morrissey titles into as many Active threads as poss in one night. See if anyone notices.

dizzydixies · 16/02/2009 20:41

poppy all 3 down and asleep, DD2 has been bloody hellish all fecking day though. Friend who dropped in with the highchair brought her wee one and they did nothing but fight for the half hour they were here

great news on E's weight gain though and good luck for the jabs tomorrow wee poppet

sambo303triesforScotland · 16/02/2009 20:59

we have also decided to get the antilop high chair, well, it has the dizzy stamp of approval, must be good

no1 you are making me feel weepy too, reminding me of the way ds squeezes my boob whilst he's feeding, sooo cute - dp thinks it's hilarious

did see Morrissey, it would be a cool middle name ps is Kurt named after Kurt Cobain? dp wanted to call our ds Hendrix

cc I am adding my (pagan) prayers for the upping of the offer

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 16/02/2009 21:00

Sazzles - Hope the anti B's have an effect - could it be like impetigo? Lucie talk is most welcome here - you are preparing those of us with only 1LO for what is to come.

Poppy - good to hear E is putting on the wieght but 'ouch' for the jabs - out 3rd set barely affected DD so hopefully you will be as lucky.

Here DIZZY have the FPG crown for getting them all down with a nailgun for DD2 and heres to a peaceful evening for you.

sambo303triesforScotland · 16/02/2009 21:07

buckets sorry, was a page behind when I posted above - Im afraid I dont know any smiths/morrisey stuff so would all be above my head, I just remember going to one of my first ever parties aged 14 or something and seeing these long haired droopy guys swaying gloomily and asking what was with them and being told they were smiths fans

pertelote · 16/02/2009 21:10

Thank you all so much. It doesn't take much at the moment to have me in a tizzy but you are all so kind and sensible (and a little scary, Dizzy ). DH is home now and said lots of kind sensible things too. And DD ate a piece of carrot and sucked some chicken in curry sauce and is now having a lovely long BF so I feel cheerful again . But really, THANK YOU.

cyteen · 16/02/2009 21:11

Aye dizzy have this vat of wine soothing herbal tea, and a manly slap on the back to boot

Glad to hear you sounding happier about your DD1's health Sazzles Hope you get to have a good talk with the doctor about it on Wednesday and get to the bottom of whatever it is.

Buckets I'm afraid I loathe do not share your passion for Morrissey but in the general spirit of rock star names must confess that I suggested Thurston for ours when he was still in the womb DP was quite keen actually but in the end I chalked it up as pregnancy madness.

Joe has been a veritable fountain of sick today, bless him; think it's his teeth combined with the massive amounts of snot generated by his cold. DP is in the bath and I think I am shortly to turn in too

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 16/02/2009 21:19

Have you thought of a new title yet Sazzles? or anyone?

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 16/02/2009 21:20

pertelote so glad to hear you are feeling a bit better about it all.

sazzles of course talk of dd1 is more than welcome here. (I talk about dd enough)

I dont know that much Morrissey stuff either.
I love Nirvana though, always have, prob always will.

Just heard ds murmouring, went to check and he had rolled over, face pressed against cot slats, and arm dangling through.bless
I have fed him and put him in grobag plus sheets so he cant roll.

Off now ladies. fingers crosse for good nights.
xx

DD's cot that we were given second hand by my boss has a broken drop side latch so we have been propping the side up with a wicker storage box - the IL's came in at the weekend and were horrified . I told them not to worry as DD only went in for the occasional nap at the moment. When we went into the baby shop last week to look at highchairs I drooled over a very posh M&P cotbed and whilst gentlely stroking mentioned that DD would have to just have a broken one as I was stuffed if I was parting with nearly £400 for a cot and matress (sp?), but I digress, I have just recieved a delivery note e-mail form the baby shop saying my new cotbed will be delivered tomorrow morning . I phoned and said I didn't buy one they must have the wrong person but it turns out MIL told FIL how I was looking lovingly at the cot and he ordered it for is granddaughter as nothing is too expensive for her . Now I am as I should have just passed it by and I wasn't dropping hints - DD could and still can live with the very nice and fixable cot we have. Now feeling guilty for some obscure reason - perhaps because I am so tight with the money at the moment as I am not working.

dizzydixies · 16/02/2009 21:39

pertelote apologies for getting a bit carried away

sazz you're absolutely right, my chat re DD2 should put the fear of god into people so they KNOW whats coming lol. Glad L getting some treatment and please don't ever feel you need to apologise for talking about her - she is as much a part of the thread as Emma is and we lovel her equally!!! In fact, technically we knew her first

oops appreciate the offer of FPG but I fear I have to hand it to DH as he dealt with the girls bedtime tonight, I was having a moment my aunt posted some photos on facebook of the 'girls' on holiday in spain - meaning the 4 sisters, my mother included. I hadn't seen the photos and it was lovely to see them. Just took me a bit by surprise

for those of you having early nights I hope they're good ones full of contented sleeping babies

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 16/02/2009 21:40

Sorry that was a mamoth pointless post. Hot choccie anyone? More wine Sazzles?

LoveBuckets · 16/02/2009 21:40

Yeah Morrissey's a bit Marmite.

Aug08: where the dear and the Antilop play

dizzydixies · 16/02/2009 21:41

oops grandparents are there to indulge in their grandchildren, it is their joy and their right and the natural order of things

take it as the lovely gesture it was and make sure Poppy knows how lovingly it was given so that maybe she can use it for YOUR grandkids too

dizzydixies · 16/02/2009 21:42

buckets your title has my vote - absolute genuis!

LoveBuckets · 16/02/2009 21:44

Oops, don't feel guilty, a cotbed is a useful thing, kids fit in them for years. When Kurt is old enough for a bed we'll keep his cotbed up for sleepovers and moving kids around when we have adult guests. Will no doubt amass piles of clean washing too.
