Oops - DD2 wouldn't be here if I hadn't adopted that form of parenting a bit more than a year ago .

So sorry you're both so unwell VG and miniest VG. At least you have a reason to be stuck indoors (other than tons of snow ).

Mucho sympathy with you oops. albs and TS (and anyone else) about the separation anxiety. DD1 was TERRIBLE with it, and it coincided with my return to work. How to make a difficult situation utterly traumatic.... No words of wisdom really except reassurance that it will end. In fact, starting nursery really helped DD1 as she got used to people other than me and DH. Trouble is it became a vicious circle - she didn't like going to anyone else, so she didn't go to anyone else, so she didn't get used to anyone else etc. etc. This time I've made a real effort to play pass the baby at every opportunity and although there have been glimmers, so far so good...

AnnVan · 06/02/2009 20:22

Mmmm. Yup - DP came downstairs in the nuddy last night, as he heard me sniffing a lot and came to check I was ok. Naturally I followed him upstairs, and Seb's wakeup was EXTREMELY bad timing

PetitFilou1 · 06/02/2009 20:28

Hello
pf here knackered but pleased dh is home
Don't worry about the teeth everyone - I'm not competing or anything (would really rather they stayed in actually

Just trying to count how many teeth that is then - we've got about four or five so far I think....

TwilightSurfer · 06/02/2009 20:39

I just have been outside to look at my truck. It is COVERED in snow deice crap and therefor looks very out of place. No wonder folks were looking at me funny when I went out earlier.

Sazzles, my stats have been properly posted.

The more the merrier. Mind you this is a small house.

I've been waiting all day for the appliance delivery folks. They said they'd be here between 12 and 4 and that they would call 30minutes before they arrived. I just got the call (3:36) and they are 10 minutes away.

am on the frazzles now - god, why did I forget about frazzles?!?!?

did your neighbours like the cakes? I've to make a white chocolate cheesecake tomorrow for someone at DH's work, she's requested it especially

oopsacoconut · 06/02/2009 21:37

Kevin - who brought Kevin???

I can offer all sorts of snacky things - I asked DH to go shopping on the way back so I didn't have go out this afternoon (too slippery for the car toocold for the pram.) and he came back with half the biscuit and sweetie aisle!

PF DD has an eye tooth but no sign of any others??

Dizzy on your way back could you pop the kettle on?

dizzydixies · 06/02/2009 21:39
poppysocks · 06/02/2009 21:42

Chocolate?? Gin??

Hi Dizzy. Hope they're all calm and quiet there [hopeful]. Bless L. I probably shouldn't have mentioned the party to DD1 either! Oh well... The two of them can have their own pre-party on Wednesday. Double the fun!

Things quiet here despite DD1's suspected UTI. She says it hurts to wee, horrible temp and so sad . Cannot catch the wee in the pot though - oh, the joys of parenthood. Although I have the AB prescription from the Dr on the assumption that that's what it is, will be good and not get the ABs until we know for sure.

dizzydixies · 06/02/2009 21:44

ah no poppy wee soul - can you get her to drink cranberry at all? that might help in the meantime?

poppysocks · 06/02/2009 21:46

Hmm. Was going to bring some chunky kitkats to the table, but looks like there'll be no need with far superior items... Will happily accept anything else going.

I try never to mention Frazzles in DH's presence. They get him far too excited .

TwilightSurfer · 06/02/2009 21:46

I'm just standing her chuckling over my laptop whilst the appliance guys struggle to remove the 30 year old dishwasher. No more talk of naked snow business. {{twilight makes note NOT to walk the dunes at night while holidaying with Sazzles}}

tea please. it's cold with the doors open. oops i know understand your complaints earlier.

dh bringing home steaks for dinner. YUM!

can you tell who it is yet??

poppysocks · 06/02/2009 21:49

Good plan Dizzy. Will try that in the morning. Wouldn't drink anything today and ate hardly anything.

poppysocks · 06/02/2009 21:50

Oh and thanks for the gin and chocolate. Am now in heaven.
