CC - they are just playing it up really and they are lovely. Funny thing is I was the one that had speech therapy when I was a todler.

TS - I started watching the reading baby but was very scared and had to turn it off.

Hi All

Went to have breast checked out today - they said most likely 'nipple trauma' caused by DD thinking I have elastic nipples and the pump grabbing me at a strange angle So feeling a bit better about it.

DD and I wwent out shopping today (again) we got a door bouncer, which although she hasn't sussed bouncing yet she love being ale to stand and watch the cats. And a bumbo playtray so I don't have to keep handing her toys, give her a selection then she can choose.

HV asked about feeding today, I said she was waking in the night and feeding more during the day but it was okay as it was only 3 weeks until she was 26 weeks and we could wean.I got home and realised I had added a week to her age, she is only 21 1/2 weeks not 22 1/2 [bad mummy] She suggested we start trying her on little finger foods every now and them, not to eat but to get a feel for. I am not sure yet. But at the coffee shop today she sat in a highchair for the first time and grabbed a spoon and put it straight in her mouth, she then bashed on the table whils drooling over my poached eggs on toast. So I think she can watch and be frustrated for a few more weeks.

Cyteen - DS is absolutley adorable - can I book DD in for a few dates now??

TS - very very scarey baby reading.

Steak - Set Dizzy on them.

And here endeth my sermon!

TwilightSurfer · 28/01/2009 21:51

my thoughts exactly with the baby reading. honestly the video (which i don't know if they actually showed it in the clip as i didn't watch the whole clip) is exactly like our signing video only without the signing so i guess my dcs are exposed to the early reading potential stuff early on anyway.

i would however like to wear the fpg badge for a little while. today, between my posts here of course, i taught my oldest, she will be 5 in 22 days, how to count all the way to 50. she was absolutely thrilled with herself. we used her abacus and wrote out the numbers on her drawing board....i did go to school to TEACH after all. we also went over 40 different sight words. she can READ things like: bear, egg, carrot, yellow, and so on. i am very very proud.

anybody read the tale of despereaux to their dcs? i picked it up today and read the first two chapters to dd1 in the truck immediately after preschool pickup. she LOVES it! i love acting out the mother....such DRAMA.

TwilightSurfer · 28/01/2009 22:17

homemade baked chicken nuggets with tri-color couscous for dinner tonight ladies. YUM YUM YUM my dream is for dcs to consider this one of their favorite mommy meals, wanting it everytime they visit from college. of course, reese can't have any yet but next year she'll be shoveling it in.

I have no problems with the decor Dizzy, some people may have problems with a bit of change.

dizzydixies · 28/01/2009 22:27
oopsacoconut · 28/01/2009 22:28

I think they all enjoyed RL a bit too much yesterday and now have a taste for it!

dizzydixies · 28/01/2009 22:34

I'm only nipping on for a moment too [blush[
had a long drive down the road after a bad night with the girls so early to bed for me

esp as I'm only here a day and Daddy Dixies and I niggling already and I've now found out I've to go and help him pick a new kitchen tomorrow - with DD2 and Dylan in tow

I shall remain calm and in control at all times. I shall not let victormeldrew my father wind me up. I shall not turn into a screeching fishwife when DD2 starts playing with the table saws in the kitchen showroom. I shall remain calm and in control, calm and in control, calm and in control

step up step up ladies, place your bets here for what time Dizzy gets arrested - half hour slots, a fiver a bet and nearest gets the pot

and Kev keep your fecking scroungy mitts off my nailgun vital piece of parenting equipment, you know the deal, no cash till the jobs finished and apparently oops doesn't like it

kevTheBuilder · 28/01/2009 22:34

alright me darlins

oopsacoconut · 28/01/2009 22:42

Night Dizzy - hpe girl sleep. Good luck tomorrow with Daddydixie and the kiddies in the kitchen shop.

I do like the decor - I just liked the old squishy sofa better, it was all snug and cosy (if a bit stale smelling from all the food crumbs and booze spillages)

noone's tried to guess who i am yet?

TwilightSurfer · 28/01/2009 23:01

F#$%ink H3%%!!!! I think my oven just DIED!!! Mid-COOK, too. So much for chicken nuggets!!!

Sazzles, Reese's rash is only slightly visible today. Still about of diaper rash left but the poo she had before it appeared was frightful. She's now gone 2 days without pooing so that's where my concern is this evening. THAT AND THE OVEN!!
