Hiya, just bookmarking to say hi while I catch up. Have been out all day and DH banned me from the computer last night to make one of his geeky wrestling rant vids for youtube.

Lovely to meet everyone yesterday btw.

Ooh, Kurt rolled back-to-front today and I think he's starting to look lefthanded in his toy-handling. That's quite encouraging as it was impossible to tell with Noah.

Did anyone see Trinny & Susanna last night? Was most amusing.

Steaknife, how much are we talking about? (you don't have to answer that?) Is it likely to be worth the hassle and money of small claims court if it's not copy that is any use to you? Could you just write them a real guilt-trip letter and copy in any mutual friends and just wait to hear about any bad karma that comes their way? You know they are arseholes so maybe don't let them break your heart any more than they have.

Buckets · 28/01/2009 17:52

BTW isn't that John McCain's Sarah Palin doing the Mom Song on Youtube?

cyteen · 28/01/2009 18:10

Awww TS I'm right with you Today I have been all over Joe like a flannel, he is delicious.

CaptainCaveman · 28/01/2009 18:19

I can vouch for the gorgeousness of the babies I met yesterday .

What we forgot to mention was the lady with the new baby who stopped to chat on her way to the baby change.
Stranger: "So did you all meet at NCT?"
Silence....
Me: "oh no, far more secret than that"
No one dared mention we all met on mn!!

Steaknife · 28/01/2009 18:37

Buckets - I'm not asking for money, just that they take the copy down. The original invoice was for 400 quid. Can't do small claims as not uk resident. Copy absolutely useless to me - heating, ventilation and air conditioning company [snooze emoticon]

As for bad karma - well he should be due some, I know for a fact that his girlfriend has had to call the police on him at least twice - anger/jealousy/alcohol issues. I haven't and don't want to involve his GF (my friend) as it wouldn't be fair. I already think he has managed to cut her off from me or she feels comprimised enough never to reply to my emails - but that is a whole nother story.

Bums just reread my email to them - gave them a 2 jan deadline insetead of a 2 feb - deluded indeed!

Have posted in legal threads.

And on a cheery note - yes our babies are smashers aren't they!

AnnVan · 28/01/2009 18:42

Our babies are indeed lovely
little man hiccoughing on my lap as he has just had a lovely chuckle session with me.

steak on your behalf. surely they can't have grounds to sue you - the copy is on their page, not on yours. grrrr.where are they? we'll go beat them up for you!

Steaknife · 28/01/2009 18:47

Given the fearsome norkage that was talked of from yesterday's meet up I think that would be a very good idea AnnVan

Sausageandmash · 28/01/2009 18:47

CC that was indeed a very funny moment - it was also that she looked in the "all shiny and lovely" stage of motherhood, before hardcore sleep deprivatiopn starts to addle your mind and you could care less about streaks of baby snot/dribble/ 'posset' about your person (or is it just me who has dec ided to let certyain standards slide for the moment?! ps typing one handed so prob. looking like gobbledegook.

AnnVan · 28/01/2009 18:48

Well steak, if we can frighten bankers we can frighten plagiarising wankers.

Sausageandmash · 28/01/2009 18:49

yes steaknife am feeling very angry on your behalf.

Steaknife · 28/01/2009 18:51

Thanks m'dears, but feel for his poor GF who has to live with him. I at least am a country away and only deal with this via email.

Sausageandmash · 28/01/2009 18:52

You clearly have some perspective - great credit to you in the circumstances.

AnnVan · 28/01/2009 19:06

S&M you're right about the new mum. I actually had baby sick on my jumper when arrived yesterday. I had managed to smear some off with a wipe at least. Little man is having quite a sicky day today. There is absolutely no point in doing more than wiping off what I can. He's only going to do it again in half an hour anyway.

alittlebitshy · 28/01/2009 19:24

cc that was a classic moment.... we all looked around for inspiration..

AnnVan · 28/01/2009 19:40

Why does little man love waiting for me to put a clean nappy on and then within five minutes ginormous poo?

PetitFilou1 · 28/01/2009 19:47

steak I think worth talking to your eldest brother - even though he is a barrister he may well know some appropriate solicitors - he is clearly of great brain if he is in that job anyway so worth a try!

You go get 'em girl

Steaknife · 28/01/2009 19:58

PF - "clearly of great brain" hmmm tries to reconcile this with funny big bro and his insistence to say daft stuff like "yah we're driving over to Verbs in the Rangy"

Verbs, Rangy? Where, what? Spit those plums out boy and talk properly.

PetitFilou1 · 28/01/2009 20:00

lol - ikwym and city boys are not my thing - but he is your brother and you should USE those family connections!

PetitFilou1 · 28/01/2009 20:02

And Rangy I get but Verbs???? Am thinking.....

Steaknife · 28/01/2009 20:07

Verbier - for the ski-ing doncha know.

Mind he worked very hard to get where he is and doesn't take it for granted.

But when he comes out with stuff like that it makes you realise why investment bankers don't get much sympathy.

Steaknife · 28/01/2009 20:08

T'other brother flew to "Honkers for Chrimbo"

I might be the only one of us that can actually speak properly!

TwilightSurfer · 28/01/2009 20:10

Unbelievable!

You didn't say, "WE are the AMAZING ladies from the AUG08 BABIES ThreadS on MN!!" ????

But why not???

Oh I know why. Everyone had their masks off. Just like superheros, it's not a good idea to let too many know your identity.

OP posts:
PetitFilou1 · 28/01/2009 20:14

I was thinking skiing

I'm afraid the phrases

'they don't know they're born'

and

'not much sympathy during the credit crunch'

come to mind

TwilightSurfer · 28/01/2009 20:16

My dad just phoned from Hawaii to tell me he saw this on tv just now and thought I'd like it for Reese.
