vg's ds1 - yards? Don't you use metres? Give your old mum a break

oopsacoconut · 05/02/2009 20:28

Hello VG's DS1 Hope DS2's eye's are okay.

We had homemade curry and lentil rice mm it was great.

DD has been generally grumpy and tetchy today. When I leave the room she cried, when I put her down she cries, when I play she cries, in her sleep she cries. We have had 1 normal dirty nappy and 4 dirty watery nappies today so I think it may be a tummy trouble thing. I doubt it's the food as that went fine the day before and all came out in her first normal nappy this morning. (TMI sorry it's dinnertime)

DD love her Sheepskin but wants to lie facedown on it which it not recommended. It is in her cot but will be going into the moses basket to get the smell right for going into her cot.

Poor Dylan and poor Dizzy too.

DH after some pudding be right back.

Sibh · 05/02/2009 20:31

Sorry to hear about all the sore eyes.
A bit of breastmilk might ease them until you get to the docs VG if you have any expressed. That worked with DS when he was tiny.

Sambo- v. cross with your SIL on your behalf. It is not ok for her to interfere like this and better for her to realise that now rather than after another 4 years of 'constructive' advice.

Does your DP genuinely believe her or is he feeling pressured because he's unsure about the whole parenting lark in a new dad kind of way? Does she advise him on other stuff? Does she have children? Has she been appointed the new head of the WHO? Can we send TS, or even minisurfer, round to put the frighteners on her?

TS - child-trading should definitely be allowed. DD1 has been much better since her music class ban last week, but is still frying my cool on a regular basis.

Ann, we will stage a sit-in until you produce pics. It sounds fab though ...

Oops - the nappies like that here, with all the crying too seem to be teething-related. The nappies are very green at the minute too ...

dizzydixies · 05/02/2009 20:45

yes, exactly oops poor me

I should really sod off as am just dipping in and out without catching up sorry

VG found another lovely cottage, enquired about a 4 night stay and she was asking 900 Euro is she mad or am I so out of touch?!? we'd be cheaper in a hotel than that - whats happened to self catering these days?!?! rant over, apologies, am really not trying to be a stereo typical stingey scot but 900Euro?!?!

dizzydixies · 05/02/2009 20:47

Sorry to hear of sick babies

oops very of pudding, the only pudding here is asleep upstairs

off to express in front of last few mins of Masterchef

Buckets · 05/02/2009 20:50

Have had nice day, practically ignored Kurt most of it - he was either playing on the mat, in the sling or squeaking at his sibs. Weaning still not happening, gave him a tiny bit of trout today and he gagged and puked up his milk.

Just eaten a bag of Revels and a Mars bar, wondering if I should go for the 2nd Mars - could I possibly be pre-menstrual I wonder?

Need to wash hair tonight and find out if I really am going grey, have been consumed with the idea all day. Did a temp dye in about October but as I only wash it once a week, the dye is still there. But roots and my natural highlights are giving off a definitely grey aura. Should really get a 2nd opinion instead of winding myself up though. DH is no use, will just laugh and tease forever.

Sambo Earplugs for your DH (Valentines pressie?) - not a novelty, millions of people use them to sleep. And article for him to read. Luckily I found this v early on for my DH - he is rubbish at believing I know what I'm talking about but will believe an article.

CC Hope pub goes well.

re eyes, I just used to squirt Kurt direct when he had his blocked tear duct! Which has miraculously gone in the last month woohoo. Friend's little girl is almost 1 and still has it, due an operation soon.

dizzydixies · 05/02/2009 20:50

I've no fecking eggs AND I was in asda supermarket today too

arse

dizzydixies · 05/02/2009 20:52

anyone else watching Masterchef - they've to identify various fruit purees - now wondering about the benifits of BLW

right am off to spend some time with DH before he heads off on night

I may be back, I may not

Buckets You didn't look like you were going grey when I met you. I have to say I have a friend who has amazing hair though atm - it is all ultra shiny and swishy and she's had what is apparently termed a 'gloss' put on it which is a semi permanent colour. She said it was because she had grey bits but you would never ever have known - her hair looked better than mine and I was quite jealous! So .....what I am saying in a roundabout way is it doesn't matter even if you do have grey bits

oopsacoconut · 05/02/2009 20:55

Sazzles I was restrained (I've gone off chcolate) but DH had the whole one with ice cream. I will sit here and virtuous

Right I'm off as otherwise will not manage to empty dishwasher or do exercises before I go to bed (second one still very unlikely)

Night all

Buckets · 05/02/2009 21:08

Aw thanks. Things is my natural shade is a greyish mouse (light ash brown being the euphemism I believe) so it might be an optical illusion. The natural highlights at the front don't hold colour very long either - did have a phase of putting Sun-in on them when it was long for the full-on trailer-trash/vampire look.

I'm going for the 2nd Mars Bar.

TwilightSurfer · 05/02/2009 21:13

just jotting down sibh's remark: "flying my cool." dd1 is in another time out with her nose to the wall. reese is crying...she wants her bottle...she doesn't want her bottle. preparing parenting resignation letter.

TwilightSurfer · 05/02/2009 21:14

oopsacoconut · 05/02/2009 21:16

Can you tell I'm seeing my personal trainer in 12 days and I can let him see how I've let myself go

Buckets · 05/02/2009 21:20

Quite like 'flying my cool' actually. Will see if I can brainwash DH into thinking it's a real phrase teehee.
