Just popping in to say I'm thinking of you today Inzi((hugs))) I hope the balloon release yesterday was both beautiful and cathartic and that today is not too sad.

WWAJC;It was lovely to look up and see you and R last night, thank you for supporting the charity (and me)I hope we didnt dissapoint.

Dal; fingers crossed for a bfp at the end of the week.

SO now Grant is apologising and I am not accepting lol

LLL - lol at Ben dipping his night light in the loo. That's the kind of story you can store up for his future girlfriends .

Stefka - ha ha ha at your sil. About time she came unstuck.

Muppet - glad Dexter is ok.

Inzi - how are you doing?

FT's concert last night was really great - FT has an incredible voice. It's years since I've heard the piece but there's a huge long soprano solo in the last movement and FT was amazing. Sorry we didn't stick around after - I've only just read your post about a post-concert drink and we assumed you'd be busy with family etc. Didn't want to be back late anyway as parents babysitting.

I had my personal shopper experience this morning at Debenhams and really enjoyed it - I shall be doing that again . It's like normal shopping but with somebody else doing the hard work and me just standing there trying tons of stuff on. They're not on commission either so they don't care whether you buy it so she was honest about what suited me and what didn't. I came away with nice stuff that I'd have walked straight past if left to my own devices.

Struggling to get Anya to sleep tonight - she's relaxing on the sofa with dh - think I'll go and try and get her to bed. Again.

Stefka · 09/03/2009 20:30

Hey Inzi hope yesterday went ok - thinking of you.

Personal shopping sounds nice! Was it expensive to do?

Les they never get it do they. Funny how now I am at work and I come home and next to nothing has been done!

Dareh has been doing lots of walking - he is very pleased with himself. Dh says he thought he saw me in the shop - someone with the same coat and hair as me. He went mental screaming for me - poor wee monkey misses his mummyah (we get called mummyah and daddyah for some reason!)

NeedCoffee · 09/03/2009 20:54

Awh thats cute stefka, bless him

WWAJC-sounds fab, glad you had a nice time

I've noticed that you guys talk a lot on a Tuesday, when i am at college-so i have decided that you're all banned from posting on a Tue-not fair when i can't!

Alice-hows the house sale going? Fingers crossed for you.

Inzi-try and get a good nights sleep, things usually feel a little better in a morning, you're probably emotionally exhausted xxxx

muppetgirl · 09/03/2009 22:04

Thinking of you Inzi, am glad you and dh were together xxxx

Dalrymps · 09/03/2009 22:19

Thinking of you inzi, glad the balloon release went ok. Sorry no one is helping with the hospital journey for you!

Hope you get a good rest tonight and feel a bit less stressed in the morning (((((hugs)))))

Stefka - Dareh sounds sooo cute with his 'mummyah'

FloriaTosca · 09/03/2009 22:23

Inzi ((((hugs)))))) I agree with NC you are emotionally exhausted..knowing your grandads prognosis is probably bringing the loss of Angel back with more force ..it is probably quite healthy that are directing your anger at your mum and sis ...if it is any consolation when the inevitable happens (heaven forfend for as long as possible)you will be glad that you endured the upheaval and made your granddad and nana happy.

WWAJC; you are too kind I'm glad you enjoyed it...the chorus and orchestra weren't bad for amateurs were they? Just sorry you couldnt stay for a quick snifter afterwards...I was home for 10.30 myself(didnt trust Dh after the lip busting, chin scraping incident of Friday)..I do regret not insisting on water by the soloists chairs as the airconditioning was really drying me out and making the long sections hard going.

Dalrymps · 09/03/2009 22:52

Hey Floria, wish i'd seen you sing!

LisaLessLumpy · 10/03/2009 06:51

Thinking of you INzi - glad DH could be with you yesterday, and letting the balloon go was such a lovely idea. Also agree with FT regarding your grandad.

FT - glad your concert went well

WWAJC - I am inclined to try the Debenhams shopper now I have heard you had a good experience. Just need to shift this last stone first and DH said he would buy me some new clothes

Well we were back to a 5.30am start this morning [yawn] hopefully its shortlived!

Dh was awake half the night too, he is very stressed at the moment, as business is bad. He has gone from 68 staff a year ago, down to 15, now he is thinking he has to get rid of more such a shame. Also having to take a big paycut to try and see us through and to hopefully not shut down completely. This damned recession is a complete arse!

LLL; Deep sympathy on DHs business front... as you know we are in a similar boat: Db made redundant as of April, Dh on 20% pay cut, Mum ripped of by the Land of Leather fiasco...and now our friends who own the local hotel are having to close down too...Bl!dy Bankers, bl!dy scaremongering journalists and bl*!dy stupid politicians for letting it happen

Inzi; you are not being selfish at all.. you are going through the wringer at the moment, you are allowed to express yourself...that is what we are all here for...I'm about to have a whinge myself....I hope the journey and the parking and the whole day were not too stressfull in the long run.

Just got to say that today is the second anniversary of my dad passing away...I've said it before but I'm sorry, I've just got to say it again...it's not fair!
Alex was at Talk First this morning, he spotted the musical instruments and and pointed, I said "yes, later", he grabbed my hand and tried to pull me to them, I said "I know what you want but you have to wait until the songs later" he then signed 'toys' and 'please' and actually said "Peese!" aswell and so beautifully!
My Dad was always keen on good manners and he would have been proud as punch of Alex today...he should still be here to see him...its just not fair

TheLadyEvenstar · 10/03/2009 14:05

Helloooooooo Ladies...

YOU ARE HEREBY INVITED TO ZACHARYS BAPTISM ON 25TH APRIL AND DRINKS AFTER IN MY HUMBLE ABODE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN COME AND I WILL SEND YOU DETAILS.

NeedCoffee · 10/03/2009 18:26

Inzi-don't worry, we don't mind you having a rant I hate rush hour traffic too, i do anything i can to get round it, I also hate having to be organised to feed Shannon when we're out, it needs such organisation grr. why aren't the rest of your family helping out? can you not do say the drop off at the hospital and stay for a little bit if need be, but then someone else do the return journey?

FT- you're right, its not fair, and its even more not fair that twat headed idiots are left here, when the good ones are taken I'm sure your Dad is watching Alex from wherever he is, and i'm sure a lot of him lives on in Alex too He sounds like he was extra cute today, just what you need Wish i'd seen you sing too, i bet you where fab!

LES-will try to make it but we don't get back from holiday until the 23rd so will have to see how we are-didn't know they did them on Sats. Hows your back doing?

Dal-any news?

LLL-thats crap, the credit crunch is really messing people up

ALICE-ANY NEWS??

Muppet-hows Dex the Doggy?

Hi to wwajc, pixie, stefka and everyone else!

I have been at college today and so Shannon was in the nursery, whenever i pick her up, all the other babies crowd round me wanting to sit on my knee or be icked up-not sure if thats a very good sign, but usually Shannon is off playing in the wendy house, so she doesn't seem to be like that..will have to make a point of asking, anyway, this one little boy was practically begging me to hold him, then when i was getting shannons coat on he kept coming and kissing her and hugging her really tight, which she didn't seem to mind too much(probably because she knew she was going home!) then she started kissing him back-the next thing i knew, she was having a full on snog with him! had to pull her away Floozy!!
