Inzi - Thinking of you re Angel's anniversary (((big big hugs))). I agree the baloon idea is great. A tip is to get it filled with hellium at your local card shop then ot'll float away really well . I tried to release one not long ago that i'd just blown up and it just stuck in a nearby bush

Floria - >>>> coming your way

Strawberry - More

xxxxx

Dalrymps · 04/03/2009 10:43

Thanks Muppet

LisaLessLumpy · 04/03/2009 10:51

Dal - Ben is on full fat cows milk and he has between 10-18oz a day depending on his mood. Its good that Dylan hasn't lost any weight considering he has been ill.

Ben is very adapt at eating with a fork and spoon, and rarely uses his fingers, it obviously helps as he watches to see what Sam does. He hardly drops any either unless he is in one of those moods

He had me up at 6am today, luckily I went to bed at 9pm and had quite a good nights sleep, I was knackered as did 40 mins on the cross trainer and 20 mins of Davina (legs section) I could barely walk upstairs and my legs know about it this morning He is now back in bed for a nap

We are off to a new play centre this afternoon, hope its good. Hope everyone has a good day xx

muppetgirl · 04/03/2009 10:53

oh yes, Henry's still on 18oz a day of full fat milk. (9oz in the morning as we have to do the school run and Henry isn't a morning person so he's woken up as late as possible. He has 9oz and then breakfast when we get back. He has another 9oz bottle before bed)

Dalrymps · 04/03/2009 11:18

Ah I see. I can't wait to get to the point I can just give Dylan normal milk... I think it's cause then i'll feel like he's like all the other lo's... The high cal is the best thing for him a the mo though. The milk he drinks has roughly double the amound of calories as whole milk and that keeps him growing at a normal rate so he must need to eat a whole lot more food before he can have normal milk.

LLL - Thats great Ben is so good with a fork and spoon

I wish I had a cross trainer and davina dvd, I need them! We were going to get a cross trainer once from tesco but it was faulty and we took it back and never bought another. I've been looking at various davina dvd's on ebay but I haen't seen one cheap enough yet

muppetgirl · 04/03/2009 11:22

forgot the higer cal milk would be higher cal so you don't need as much

Dalrymps · 04/03/2009 11:32

Muppet - Well he was still having to drink 18oz of it just to keep growing so he must burn a lot of as he's so energetic or something?!!

muppetgirl · 04/03/2009 11:35

might have a high metabolic rate!

My brother is 6"5 and at his worse weighed just under 10 stone. He eats whatever he wants and never puts weight on. He's also a worrier and loses weight when he's stressed/ill ect. Also he throws up if he hasn't eaten for a while (go figure?) and that's something to do with it also.

Dalrymps · 04/03/2009 11:51

Maybe, my bro's are both like that. They can eat whatever they want and are skinny minnies . Somehow this gene doesn't apply to me though

NeedCoffee · 04/03/2009 14:34

hi everyone

Well, it hasn't turned into pox yet, she still only has one big one on her bum, don't know how long it would take for the rest to appear.
good news Dal, Shannon has 21oz of cows milk a day, hadn't thought to lower it, will change it by 1 oz per bottle, she may eat more at tea time if i do that.

Inzi-glaad you like the idea, it may be nice for you to do it every year, and Jane will gain more understanding as the years progress. I've been looking at diets, wow, thats really low calorie intake, i hope its ok for you. I've been looking at the Jason Vale juice diet, which i think i'm going to have a go at when i get the book.
Well, i've finally got the little sod darling down for a nap, so i'm going to have 30 mins me time, before i go for dd1

muppetgirl · 04/03/2009 19:29

NC - sounds a bit like Henry. He started with a mahoosive spot on his nose which I got all excited about thinking it was chicken pox. It didn't go anywhere else but did get all yucky and puss filled. Then he got the rash...

His skin has gone back to normal so I do think it was impetigo that irritated his skin and it might/might not have not been excema.

Am sat waiting for my curry to arrive

LisaLessLumpy · 04/03/2009 20:13

Its obviously a virus that is doing the rounds, I thought Ben's was chicken pox, but it was just a rash that disappeared after 3-4 days.

Muppet enjoy your curry

NeedCoffee · 04/03/2009 21:33

Damn, was hoping it was so it would explain her brattish behaviour and she could go back to her angelic(well, kind of), cute self, looks like i'm going to have another toddler who thinks she is a teenager Have had a hellish days with both of them, and as Shannon has been screaming on and off all night, then it looks like a crappy night too, may have to resort to ear plugs.

Muppet- Hope you have a nice curry

Inzi -Henry was like a teenager but has gone back to lovely boy!

The curry was FAB!

Dalrymps · 05/03/2009 13:03

LLL - Happy Birthday !

Muppet - Glad you enjoyed the curry

muppetgirl · 05/03/2009 13:21

Happy birthday LLL!!

strawberrylace · 05/03/2009 17:15

happy birthday LLL! hope you've had a great day!

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 05/03/2009 19:49

Inzi - blimey, that sounds like a radical diet. Fingers crossed for you and good luck - hope it works. Thinking of you this weekend hun - love the balloon thing.

FT - lots of sleepy vibes coming your way. Hope Alex is doing better.

Dal - yes we do the surestart groups but most are arts/crafts type things or baby groups. I'm off work next week so it's one of my projects to find suitable groups that will also fit in with my working hours. Glad Dylan's appointment went well. Anya only has 2 bottles a day now of full fat cows milk, first and last thing. I don't really measure how much she has but it's probably about 5-6oz in the morning and 7-8oz in the evening so maybe 13oz in total.

LLL - happy birthday! How was the new play centre?

I had such a good day yesterday - I met up with a friend I've not seen for nearly 20 years and it was lovely. She's got 3 kids so we chatted for ages. There used to be 4 of us and we all went on our first parent-free holiday together when we were 17/18 - to a caravan in Rhyll !

Just have tomorrow to go and then I'm off work for a week - can't wait . Have so much to do tomorrow though - huge pile of paperwork and I only have one appointment booked for the week I'm back, which is pants.

FloriaTosca · 06/03/2009 08:55

Hippo bird day two ewes
Hippo bird day two ewes
Hippo bird day dear LISA
Hippo bird day two ewes!!!!!
I hope you have a fabulous day and all the men in your life spoil you rotten.

WWAJC Glad you had a lovely day with your pal..2 of my friends and I did the same at the same age, our caravan was in Paignton ...lots of fun memories! Funnily the other two and their Dhs are meeting up on holiday this week in Singapore!(booked independantly and only discovered they would both be there at the same time at our xmas meet up!)Have a fab week off next week (hope appointments buck up for your return)

Well we had yet another rubbish night from Alex...(yawn)...dont understand how he can be so bright and cheerful at 5.30am when he didnt go to bed until 9pm and was awake at 12.45 and 2.30....I brought him into bed with me to see if he would settle again but got treated to half an hour of him hiding under the duvet shouting "1,2,3 Boo!"..I got up and made his porrige but after 3 spoonfuls he gave me the 'finished' hand sign and waved at the bowl saying "bye, bye this!"...It drives me mental when he does annoying things and then is this cute...I can see it being one of those days...heaven help Dh tonight when I'm at rehearsals!

Stefka · 06/03/2009 19:18

Happyt birthday LLL!!

Floria I have to admit I did laugh at bye bye this although I am guessing it wasn't so funny for you!

I am glad it is Friday!

alicet · 06/03/2009 19:45

Sorry I have been awol for ages lovely ladies - been tied up with trying to sort out our house sale. Despite saying they wanted a quick sale seems our buyers are determined to drag everything out as much as possible and it's been pretty frustrating esp as we are trying to progress our purchase too...

Haven't had a chance to read all your news since I last posted but off to catch up now.

been thinking of you all though! xxx

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 06/03/2009 19:48

FT - pmsl at "1,2,3,Boo" and "bye bye this". Hope you manage to stay awake for rehearsals - looking forward to Sunday.

I didn't get all my paperwork done at work but decided that the rest can manage until I get back after a week off. I took all my client files in and left them in a drawer in the office so I can't get at them. We're not allowed to leave laptops there since one got nicked last year, so I've been threatening to bury it in a deep hole in the garden for a week. I've spent so long being self-employed that I'm still convinced that the world will fall off its axis if I don't check my emails every other day.

Off to stick a bottle of wine in the fridge then .

alicet · 06/03/2009 20:14

Muppet congratulations on yet another lovely boy to add to your brood and Tobias is a fab name!!! have the 'ooh I bet you're sorry its not a girl' comments started yet ? Havign wanted Adam to be a girl funnily enough if we tried for a 3rd I think this time given the choice i would go for another boy so a teeny tiny part of me is very jealous of you!!! Not enough to start trying though Try not to worry about Henry too - he sounds like a fab little boy and he will get there in his own time.

LLL sorry you're having a tough time. We had this a while back and basically now when Adam wakes early we go in, stay quiet, interact with him as little as poss, leave the light off, give him some milk and then put him straight back in bed while telling him 'it's not time to get up yet, it's still the nighttime'. If he shouts we leave him for 5 mins then go back in and get him out for milk again (until he doesn't want any then we just go in and shush him) and we continue like this until 6.30. The first time he shouts after 6.30 we go in all cheery and say 'hello!' and put the light on and be all awake and cheery to make a big contrast. Now after a few days of this being a nightmare of going in every 5 mins for about an hour I don't think he goes back to sleep but he is quiet and either stays settled until after 6.30 or chunters for attention a couple of times. Sometimes he sleeps until after 6.30 too. it was a battle royal for a couple of weeks but it paid off - may be worth a go? Happy birthday yesterday - sorry i missed it!

Dal your lifeplan sounds fab - good luck! Are you ttc now? nice one on the shopping spree too! i have spent far too much in the Boden sale this winter and although my credit card is growning I am feeling very happy! Glad dietician review went well

Needcoffee pmsl at Richie at the discodive with his slippers on!!! hope Shannon is better soon too...

Floria at the little shits throwing dog turds at your house. That sort of mindless vandalism drives me mad. GGGRRRRR!!!! Liking Needcoffee's idea of slinging some fresh ones back - maybe Alex's potty contents could be stored especially for the purpose?!

liking the fact that my 'getting possed' is now a general term!

LES must have been emotional when Karl asked for Grant to adopt him. I'm also with the consensus that I wouldn't buy him anything - just keep telling him how much you love him and how proud you are of him behaving in such a grown up way

WWAJC glad salary showed up eventually! Also pmsl at Anya and the rabbits! Adam's fave cuddly toy is a rabbit and he sees it and goes 'rabby!!!' and then when he gets it to cuddle puts it by his face and goes 'aahh!' very cute!

Stefka hope your job is going OK and you're not too shattered

Inzi sending you big big hugs. Nothing will ever make the anniversary of losing Angel a positive or easy time will it? Just wanted to say I am thinking of you and here if you need me... x Also loving NC's balloon idea

Strawberry sorry to hear youre struggling with sleep too - sending my best sleep vibes your way!

Skim read the last few posts as Sam woke up and have to dash now to put our tea on! Will try and get on a bit more regularly too and will update you with our hosue news when i know anything... lots of love to you all
