WWAJC ? at your coffee scare but really pleased it didn?t burn xx

LLL- The lasagne incident doesn?t sound great. It gets everywhere doesn?t it!
Oh no, chickenpox, you poor thing. The only consolation is that it?s good to get it over and done with x at the climbing though Ollie was like this and dragged his chair around. He opened the back door and just climbed onto anything he wanted he also went downstairs and turned dh?s computer on at 3 in the morning, got orahnge juice out of the fridge, used the salt cellar on the sofa? Was a nightmare but then all of a sudden he just stopped? I can?t imagine for one min that Henry will be like this
!!! What a little sodpot at moving his chair, that?s a big heavy one too, Ollie?s was only a little rocking chair!

Floria ? I would LOVE to go to the concert but it?s on a Sunday and I can?t get back so Dh can go to work the next day ) Really sorry to hear about dh?s 4 day week, we are sending money to my brother + SIL in Canada as things are going a bit tits up for them. It?s a crap time at he mo xxxx

Dal ? wow! Epic post, just settling to read it! (The Mousehole Cat is a favourite and I used to read it when I taught) Just read the lovely bit, thank you Dal xxxx
I think you?re fab for planning what you really want to do with your life, not sure how you?d do it but maybe you train first as then you?d have dh?s wage to tied you over and then him train when you are earning?

Alice ? am hoping you get the house! As to the children yes, we always wanted t 3 but then had Ollie and decided that was definitely enough Henry was a dream so I suppose I am due another hurricane

Inzi ? am very about your bathroom, ours still has the blue food colouring that Ollie spilled on the carpet when he was 3 (he?s 5 next month and the matching blue handprints up the wall?) Fab news on Jane?s sleeping, am just hoping it has lasted! Lovely to hear of your reunited friend. Potty training! I think Henry?s way off that yet!!! Would have loved him to be before Toby arrives but that definitely ?ain?t happening!

Heinz ?Hi! How?s the pregnancy??

Facebooking from Barbados

Stefka ?CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! You fab, fab star! I am so pleased for you xxxx (reaches over an punches Stefka?s bitch of a sil?..)

Crochet ? Hope you had a lovely birthday xxxxxxx

Dal ? am really hoping Dylan isn?t loosing any weight

Strawberry ? Am hoping you?ve managed to shift the cold a little.

Tles ? love the pram, that?s the type I go for as they lie flat but sit upright. I like the moveable wheels though?
We got mine from ebay for £5 as dh broke our 1st one

I'm fine though lo likes to have a good kick now and is very low (or so it feels like) so the muscles are protesting. Ollie has started talking to the baby like he did with Henry which is lovely. I asked him if he would like a brother or sister today and he said a sister as boys are too noisey....

pots and kettle spring to mind!!!

Henry is still shuffling but stands up now so we're really making progress, I do find carrying him very tough as he's still a lard arse he's in aged 2-3 clothes now partly as his shoulders are very braod and his head is so big. Jumpers just don't seem to last him. I've got all of Ollie's old clothes so it doesn't matter but it is strange seeing him in them iyswim. (Dal don't worry about Dylan's size, Ollie was never in the right size for his age and was still wearing aged 2 shorts when he 3 +)

Am having to convince Ollie to move rooms as there's an ensuite going spare with the spare room and he could make use of it but he won't move and said Henry should have it like that's going to be of any use to Henry... Going to paint the boys bedrooms over the Easter holidays so that's a start.

xxxx

Dalrymps · 26/02/2009 22:08

Les - Not sure what I'd pay for the pram, more of a 3 wheeler gal myself...Good luck selling it though

Muppet - that was nearly as long as one of my posts

Henry sounds like he's doing really well with his moving about, go Henry, go Henry

Thannks for the reassurance re Dylans size/weight. It is a constant worry, especially when he's ill but I am slowly accepting that's just the way he is. He's a bit better today, no temperature but kept tantruming/crying/shouting at me for no apparent reason, it's been a long day!!! He's still been drinking all his high cal milk even though he's off his food so I think he's at least maintaining his weight iyswim.

Regarding the 'life plan' we think dh is gonna get some experience then apply for his PGCE in sept 2010.

By then if we've managed to concieve our 2nd lo it will be about 8-10 months old and I will work evenings to pay the bills whilst he trains for a year(mil has offered to help out with the lo's in between me going to work and him coming home for that year).

After that he should be able to support us again whilst we posibly have a 3rd lo.

After that i'm planning on waiting till the youngest is at school then doing my midwifery training. I should be about 35 by then but that doesn't bother me, I want to have my children first and enjoy their younger years, then I can get my teeth in to something that has always really interesed me . Thats the plan anyway, god knows if we'll manage it!

Dh has gone out for a meal with his work collegues. The boss takes them all out occasionally to thank them for their hard work.

I'm having a girly night in by myself, i'm actually enjoing watching whatever I want on tv and going the laptop for aaaages without feeling like i'm neglecting him

TheLadyEvenstar · 27/02/2009 05:17

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I am so tired, Zachary was awake until 10pm and has been awake since 4am. I have brought him into the living room and now he is nodding off in his travel cot which means i can't move him so i am now up for the day grrrrrrrrr

OP posts:
LisaLessLumpy · 27/02/2009 06:56

Another early start here too. 5.21am despite him being awake from 5.20am yesterday until 8.30pm with only 60mins nap in the car So you were right FT, going to bed later didn't help at all.

DH got up with him today and I took him a bottle of milk in at 5.30, DH said he drained it in record time, gave him the empty bottle, put his dummy in and went back in his cot no probs. Fab I thought, he must just be hungry, managed to get back in bed and was just dozing off when Sam got up at 6.15, closely followed by Ben. I don't know whether he would have carried on sleeping if Sam had or not, but its worth trying the bottle again in the morning.

I don't feel too bad today, I went to bed at 9.30 so have managed 7 hours sleep which is a record this week. We do have friends staying over tonight though, so can't very well go to bed at 9.30

I am so hoping this phase will pass soon. Surely he cant keep going on such little sleep, when he has been used to a good 12 hours?

muppetgirl · 27/02/2009 13:30

LLL - oh you poor thing It doesn't matter what time Ollie goes to bed he's always up at 6 even if he goes to bed after midnight. Some children really have an early rising button. The only thing I could suggets (and I'm sure you've tried this) is to take them swimming, then do soft play in the afternoon so they are really knackered. Feed them all day at every opportunity (breaks all the rules but worth a try to get the routine back?) Henry needs a lot of food -more than Oliver -otherwise he wakes early. When he starts to wake early I give him rice pudding/porridge so he's got slow releasing food to keep him going.

muppetgirl · 27/02/2009 13:30

that should be I give Hnery rice pudding or porridge just before bed...

LisaLessLumpy · 27/02/2009 13:50

Well he was at nusery from 9-3 yesterday and he never stopped for one minute last night, jumping and climbing, so if that much exercise doesn't tire him out, I don't know what will

I'll just have to live with it and hope it changes again at some point

Mine · 27/02/2009 14:03

LLL i had exactly the same problem.. it turns out he would wake up hungry so i would give him 2 weetabix just before bedtime instead of a bottle and he would sleep right through until 7am'ish.

Although when he's teething nothing works!!

It will get better as Eren is fine now, but still asks for weetabix before bed

TheLadyEvenstar · 27/02/2009 16:00

Ohhhhhh Thanks Mine, am off to the shop soon to buy some weetabix and see if it helps with Zachary who has developed waking at 4.40 everyday and saying Hiya Mummy grrrr lol.

OP posts:
LisaLessLumpy · 27/02/2009 17:00

Thanks mine, I'll give that a go

Stefka · 27/02/2009 18:35

No time to read yet - have had day from hell and am up to my eyes in marking and planning but I just needed to let you know that my SIL has joined facebook so don't say anything about that situation there. Not that it is likely you would but just to be safe!

Will read posts later.

NeedCoffee · 27/02/2009 20:10

hope all the little piggies sleep tonight!
Stefka-I would have thought sil was too busy being the perfect mother/wife/superbitchand raising the perfect child to use Facebook!

Just had to share with you all-Richie has taken DD1 to 'disco dive' at the local swimming pool, earlier on, i told him he better put the dicusting Grandad slippers that my mum got him for christmas, as i'm sick of all the black bits off his socks sticking to my cream carpet- He's only gone and forgot to change into his shoes I cried with laughter when he rung to tell me

FloriaTosca · 27/02/2009 21:25

NC; PMSL!!!!!

We are not having the best of nights so far ... local yobs lobbing bags of dog muck at our house... there is a footpath by our house with a bin at the end a dog bin at the end ...why they think adorning our house with the bags from the bin I do not know and what posseses them to put their hands in there in the first place is totally beyond my comprehension but when it happened a few weeks ago we complained to the council..they dont seem able to stop it so it looks like a visit to the police station tomorrow

FloriaTosca · 27/02/2009 21:27

..just the one bin...having a bottle of red to calm down .... going to be as possed as an Alice at this rate!

Dalrymps · 27/02/2009 21:29

Needcoffee - ROFL and PMSL at that

Floria - for you, that's terrible! I would definately go see the police, in fact i'd be on the phone to them!

NeedCoffee · 27/02/2009 21:37

FT-thats gross, little shits, I hate stuff like that, its a shame you can't launch fresh ones(dog poo, Alexs', dhs..) back at them somehow. I am very quickly turning into my nana, what with todays youth!

muppetgirl · 28/02/2009 08:47

Floria I cannot see why anyone would want to do that?????? Do they really have such empty lives that that is all they have to do on a friday night???

Is there anyway of taking photos/filming them? (I bet they're all covered up though)

NC - LOL!!

LLL - I saw from fb that it was 5.30 this morning bottle then 7.40. Progress!

Am tired but dh is wanting to go out for the day somewhere so not sure what we're up to.

xxxxx

Hi Muppet - Hope you have a nice day whatever you decide to do

Inzi - Thanks, I quite like the plan too . Sorry Jane's had a cold, hope she's feeling better soon. Sorry dh is stressed at work, hope things get easier for him.

Wow, the lighter life thing sounds good, I want to lose some weight but keep giving up as I have no will power at all! Hope you get the results you want, can't wait to hear how you get on.

Hope you have a lovely day with your sis

Don't know if I mentioned it but last weekend dh came with me in town and watched Dylan whilst I had a spending spree in dorothy perkins (Berwick only has dp's or new look). He was aware I have basically run out of clothes that fit me so just said to get whatever I wanted, I got loads of nice tops and 2 new pairs of jeans and it really cheered me up . I don't think i've ever gone in a shop and bought whatever I wanted before . Anyway, i'm loving wearing all my new clothes and feel less like a frump now.

Dylan has recovered from his temperature, hasn't had it for the last 2 days. He's still quite grumpy though. He's slowly coming back round to the idea of food.

He's now developed a rash though... It's mainly on his torso (front and back) and a little on his forehead. I called nhs direc but they said it either sounds viral or like an allergic reaction. I think it must be connected to the temp he had, so probably viral... Although i'm not entirely sure what a viral rash is exactly???

Nhs direct said to go to the pharmacy and get them to have a look at it as they're usually good at diagnosing these things.

We'll probably walk in to town today as it's really nie and sunny here

Hi to everyone else, hope you're all having a lovely weekend

LisaLessLumpy · 28/02/2009 11:38

Dal - thats exactly what Ben was like last week, the doc said it was viral. The rash lasted about 3 days and then just cleared up

Dalrymps · 28/02/2009 12:18

LLL - Thanks for that, I think thats all it is but you've given me reassurance. Must be something thats going round...

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 28/02/2009 19:42

Muppet - oh hun, that's fantastic - so glad that everything is going well.

NC - wow to your cleaning spree, am very impressed you can do all that with Shannon in tow. LOL at Richie in his slippers.

Dal - plan sounds good - glad you've managed to get things all sorted out. Glad you're enjoying your new clothes. What did pharmacist say about Dylan's rash?

LLL - glad you feel better even if you're still getting the early starts.

FT - at the dog poo throwing. Hope you manage to get it sorted.

Inzi - hope you had a good day with your sis.

Dalrymps · 28/02/2009 22:19

WWAJC - Pharmacist said that if the rash stayed pretty much as it was then it was most likely viral. He said if it kept getting worse and then better again then could be allergic reaction.

He advised to keep some piriton in the house in case it turned out to be allergy and for general future use so we got some just to keep in.

Have you had a nice day?

LisaLessLumpy · 01/03/2009 08:40

Hello ladies

Well yesterday was better, I followed Mines suggestion and gave him some weetabix before bed, he still woke at 5.30 but after a bottle went back to sleep till 7.40.

Last night he had a bowl of cornflakes, slice of toast and his milk at 7pm and slept till 7.10am this morning. I woke up at 5.18 though in anticipation of him waking and didn't manage to go back to sleep so now I have to break my body clock too

Also now he is having a bit more sleep, his mood has improved again and he is back to being 'Ben' no more tantrums and screaming at everything, he is now happy and cheeky again.

NeedCoffee · 01/03/2009 11:06

morning all, how's everyone today? I am hungover, went out with my friend last night, was a good night, laughed loads. Shannon woke up when i got home, she was really clingy and screaming, and just wouldn't go to sleep on her own. Rich ended up having her in my bed and i went in dd1s room, he fell asleep and she fell out of bed and screamed for ages again but i can't find any bruises so i think it must have been the shock. Apparantly she finally went to sleep at about 5.30 and then was up at 7.30. He's gone out for the day, a work thing, Rugby, food, to get possed, so i'm on my own with headache and having to share the couch with all Shannons' 'babies'.

LLL-glad sleep has improved, its horrible when your own sleep pattern is affected, hope you get back into a routine-both of you.

Dal-how's the rash today?
