Hiya

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Dalrymps · 24/02/2009 10:42

he's now doing very loooong suspicious trumps... Maybe it's gonna be S and D after all. (someone who works with dh just had it)

LisaLessLumpy · 24/02/2009 10:56

I know loads of people who have had it, it seems to be sweeping through the UK.

Dalrymps · 24/02/2009 11:55

I hope it isn't that but probably is, he always gets somehting just as his weight is picking up

LisaLessLumpy · 24/02/2009 14:02

OMG, just gone in the kitchen to see what Ben was up to and he was standing on his high chair, playing with the knives off the chopping board He has just realised in the last two days that there is a whole new world open to him if he climbs on his chair. He has now taken to dragging it to wherever he wants to get to. I am now really going to have eyes in the back of my head I am just downloading some video I have taken of him this morning, I'll put it on facebook in a bit, it is a bit long though

Mine · 24/02/2009 15:17

WOW LLL he sounds determined to investigate!!

LisaLessLumpy · 24/02/2009 17:24

He has also been found this afternoon crawling across the table in the kitchen, and he has just walked up the stairs on his feet only using the wall to steady himself with one hand

In the meantime I have just had to put Sam in the bath and I am working up the courage to clean shit up off the toilet floor where Sam didn't get on the loo in time and it is bright yellow stinky liquid [vomit] Ben keeps trying to come in and screams if I shut the door, so it may have to wait till DH comes in.

What a day

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 24/02/2009 17:25

Strawberry - hope your cold is getting better.

LLL - poor Sam. Hope it all clears up soon and everyone gets well again. Glad you enjoyed your night out. at Ben standing on his chair.

Mine - good luck with your test tomorrow.

Dal - hope Dylan's ok and it wasn't S&D.

I've had a really good day today getting things done. I had 2 meetings with clients so arranged for my dad to have Anya this afternoon. Both meetings were really short though (hardly any work from either of them but never mind) so I've been able to catch up with some phone calls and have even got time to pop on here .

New front door is fitted at last - it's taken dh 2 days to get it to fit and lock properly (no straight lines in this house ). Looks so much better.

Dalrymps · 24/02/2009 18:29

LLL - at Ben's 'investigating'!

WWAJC - He's been sick a little this morn and once this aft but is keeping milk down so far. No runny poo's yet, just a shart (sorry tmi I know).
Glad your new front door is fit and you're pleased with it

The doc doesn't know wyats up with Dylan has said to keep giving calpol and wait and see what develops, oh and she wants a urine sample dropped off in the morning too just to check for any infection.

NeedCoffee · 24/02/2009 21:24

so many poorly los what the hell is going on?
LLL-yuck, poor you having to clean that up-hope you managed to get DH to do it. Glad you had a lovely night out.
WWAJC-glad you got new front door and lol at Alex sweeping Anya off her feet
Mine-hope you're not too bored tomorrow.
Strawberry-get some vitamins down you!Failing that, i always found hot toddys help me
inzi-i gave up with putting her on her potty A) becauase although she like sitting on it for a few mins, she wanted to get off it when she needed a wee, until she started dribbling and then shouted 'wee, wee' for her potty, if she needed to poo she couldn't wee, so got herself distraught, B)because and it seemed too stressful for us both, i thought we may as well leave it till summer when she can run round without her nappy on and C)i'm a lazy moo and got sick of cleaning wee dribbles up
dal-hope it doesn't turn into D&S.
FT-poor Alex, i hate when that kind of thing happens, you wonder if they're going to be traumatised for life, have you got any more appointments where you could perhaps go a little earlier and take something fun to do so he associates it with good stuff?

well...Amsterdam...hmm, wasn't my cup of tea, not because of the stigmas attached to it, i just didn't enjoy it, think its cos Richie was pissing me off, he is such a geek with maps and bloody sightseeing grrrr and it was freezing cold, and very expensive. The ferry trip was ok, apart from teenagers drunkenly chatting outside our room from 2.30 am till about 3.30am, when i then stormed out nd shouted at them, they apologised but carried on, i was so annoyed and knackard from the sleep interuption. Oh but the best but was the buffet dinner, i don't think it was meant to be an eat all you can, but i, erm, did in fact, i thought i would get stretch marks from how big my stomach went. I proised myself i wouldn't do it on the way back, but i just couldn't help myself, it was soooooo nice I managed to put on half a stone in 3 days! Can you imagine how much i'd weigh coming back from a 2 week all inclusive lol!!! I got a few missed calls and messages on the 2nd night at 2 am from my friend who had Shannon, as she'd screamed for both nights in a row and she was so tired and couldn't cope, so asked if my brother and sil could have her the last night, luckily they agreed, but she did the same with them so everyone was shattered when i got back just ffrom Shannon!! DB and SIL went back to bed after we picked her up on Sun morning, God help them when they have a baby of their own! She was like it for a few days before we went too, clingy and has awful screaming fits and keeps saying no no no no no and shaking her head, anyway, she was ok the day and night i got back, cried a bit last night, and had another screaming fit tonight for over an hour, i just don't know what to do with her and it always seems to be when Richie isn't here and she's not eating too well. Also she has to have things in certain places, am hoping this is just her asserting her personality/independence not anything more sinister(am paranoid about the mmr)

LisaLessLumpy · 25/02/2009 06:08

aaarrgghh!! Another 5.15am start! I sat in his room without speaking to him for 45 mins, I must have lay him down a dozen times but he just would not go back to sleep. I'm afraid I lost my temper with him and bought him downstairs where he is now having a bottle.

This is the 4th morning in the row where it has been a 5am ish start, I can't leave him to scream it out because Sam is right next door, talk of the devil I have just heard his footsteps, he is now up too. They are only averaging 10 hours sleep a night. Ben has a sleep in the day but Sam doesn't

I hope its a phase as I haven't caught up on my sleep from 3 days ago yet.

NeedCoffee - I hope Shannon gets better for you too.

I am in for another day of saying 'no' getting Ben down from places he shouldn't be and hopefully NOT cleaning up shit from Sam.

TheLadyEvenstar · 25/02/2009 07:11

Lisa you have my sympathy, Zachary has been awake every morning at between 5-6 the last few days as well. He is also a climber which is the reason we had to take the side off his cot as he managed to get his leg over the side with it on its lowest setting. He also climbs onto the dining chairs, onto the sofa, found him on the table yesterday as well. He uses everything he can as a step up to the point that all his big toys are in Karls bedroom and we bring them out 1 at a time to stop him climbing. But we leave his electric bike in here and that really makes a good step up onto things.

Karl was not like this!!!!! lol

Hope everyones lo's who are poorly get better soon.

My back is no easier if anything it is worse!

We are off to liverpool on Saturday to meet a lady i have been talking to on the net and have sold my micralite to. SO if anyone lives that way we will be there overnight and could meet on sunday for a coffee...

Anyways must away I have to get Zachary dressed to take Karl to school.....am wondering if he would be ok if i put him on a bus and got mum to meet him the other end.......

LisaLessLumpy · 25/02/2009 07:41

OMG LES, its a nightmare isn't it. The only reason Ben hasn't tried climbing out of his cot is because he sleeps in a grobag! Sam was never this much trouble

TheLadyEvenstar · 25/02/2009 07:53

Lisa it really is and now he is in a bed i wake in the night to find him in all sorts of places asleep mind you lol....half under our bed, his feet in his bed head on the floor, face down on the floor, on his back on the floor arms up above his head....tickling my feet saying Hiya mummy! grrrrrrr

Oh he has also learnt if he pulls the drawer out of the drier it makes a nice puddle to splash in!!!

everything has a swim - in the toilet as well.

OP posts:
LisaLessLumpy · 25/02/2009 08:03

Oh god yeah, the toilet, if I forget to put the seat down he is in there like a flash with the damn toilet brush, making a right mess. I have found him this morning trying to climb on the island off his chair. I have just put a gate on the kitchen door, my heart won't get a rest if he can reach everything in there and I can't watch him every second.

I am so dreading the bed idea

TheLadyEvenstar · 25/02/2009 08:08

Lisa, you are lucky we have an open plan kitchen/living room. Currently the fridge and cleaning cupboard are tied shut together with a belt as lil sod darling can open the child proof door locks. he also scales the baby gate.

so far this morning he has put shower gel into the toilet (squeezed it in there) and on the floor, then threw the bottle into the toilet as well! right now he is happy eating MY shortbread biscuits!

last night he went to sleep at 6.30 and woke this morning at 6.15.....oh i want more of them nights.

OP posts:
LisaLessLumpy · 25/02/2009 08:28

I now have Ben having a tantrum as I have removed him from the kitchen because he keeps opening the fridge door, and Sam is also crying because I told him there was no point having his jigsaws out with Ben around. I need to scream so am going to do it here

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I most definitely DO NOT want anymore, slap me if I seem to weaken at any stage

LisaLessLumpy · 25/02/2009 08:31

Here is Ben using his chair to get around...

TheLadyEvenstar · 25/02/2009 08:38

OP posts:
Dalrymps · 25/02/2009 08:50

LLL - Oh my god I can't believe he can do that! Very impressive balancing skills . Oh and lovely kitchen btw Hope the sleep improves soon

Les - Sorry your back is worse, hope it gets better soon ((hugs))

Needcoffee - Sorry amsterdam was a bit of a dissapointment... Hope the screaming stops soon too, i'm sure it's just a phase, try not to worry.

Still got a poorly boy here today, he was whimpering onn and off through the night and woke hot and fed up again, I gave him his calpol and he had a bottle but no breakfast. The calpol has kicked in a bit now so he's perked up for the time being

LisaLessLumpy · 25/02/2009 08:51

LisaLessLumpy · 25/02/2009 08:52
