Afternoon ladies. Hope everyone is well and rashes and bugs and any other ailments are on the wane.

London mummies, can you help me [[http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/days_out_recommendations/681688-Afternoon-tea-in-London-with-2-year-ol d here]?

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 11/01/2009 14:17

oops, here

happynewRia · 11/01/2009 15:04

can't help you jammy but it sounds lovely (if a bit scary)

baggins has had a little porrige with syrup and raisins, and a little ham and bread & some chocolate. He still has the rash buti t is not as "angry", so I think he's on the mend. He and I have just napped.

DS1 had his first morning as a "junior leader" at church group, I think he did ok from his report (though I was with him as he left home to call for his friend and go up to set tables out at 10.15. When I dropped DS2 off at 10.50 he still wasn't there, so he got a bollocking for that). DS2 went for his first session, he said it was "ok" they talked about"God and stuff"

I am happy to report it is a tiny bit warmer outside and my wshing dried today instead of freezing

LackaDAISYcal · 11/01/2009 18:43

woohoo bumble slept till 6.45am. That's six whole hours sleep I got!!!

He's been quite awake for a lot of today as well, so hopefully this is him sorting himself out finally!

Ohforfoxsake · 11/01/2009 19:26

of you Daisy

Ohforfoxsake · 11/01/2009 19:27

how churlish of me. Sorry Daisy, I am happy for you, God knows you needed it Bet you feel like a new woman today!

LittleMissNorty · 11/01/2009 19:28

Good news Daisy

Foxy....hows LO?

FestiveFairyFay · 11/01/2009 19:28

for Bumble and fingers crossed for a repeat performance tonight

Ohforfoxsake · 11/01/2009 19:32

shitting for Britain still

retching, but not puking

but miles better. her colds cleared up.

Thankfully I had a stock of paracetemol suppositories, so the puking wasn't a problem as far as getting medicene in.

Am moany, sorry, three children up in the night, two finally settled about 5 or 6. LO up at 6.30. I can't remember the last time I had anywhere near a decent sleep. Let DP have the lie in today as he was tired yesterday and a tosser to me all day. He is much improved at least.

I am at the standing in the street shouting phase, yet remain composed on the outside.

Anyway, how are you Norty? What are your highlights of the day?

Ohforfoxsake · 11/01/2009 19:33

Hi Fairy - how are things with you?

LackaDAISYcal · 11/01/2009 19:33

lol foxy.....no worries, a few days ago I was feeling that way about anyone who had had more than three hours sleep.

how is LO today? I hope she's better and that the others haven't caught it!

how was your night fairy? did DS sleep better?

apparently my DD was up in the night too. since bumble was born, I seldom hear her. Is this me naturally zoning out anything other than bumble as he is my No1 priority? seems a bit harsh of mother nature if this is the case; my poor DD could be getting mauled by bears and I'd know nothing about it!!

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 11/01/2009 19:36

Oh you poor thing Foxy .....never heard of paracetamol suppositories....Hope they improve soon.

Highlight of my day......well we filled up the new aquarium today and we're both sitting here wanting a wee at the time listening to the pump ....looks good though....fish next week.

I now have elephant feet as well as legs and ankles and can only just get through the aby gate into the dining room as I'm so fat.

3 weeks tomorrow ....not that I'm counting down you understand.....

LackaDAISYcal · 11/01/2009 19:37

cross posts there....sounds horrible, and I hope things improve soon.

Where did you get the paracetomol suppositories from? are they GP prescribed?

how's Norty?

I escaped to do some shopping today and bought......stuff for bumble. I wanted a nice skirt to wear with my new knee high boots, but couldn't find anything at all. Also wnet to New Look for some £10 hula jeans but the shop i was in don't do short arse leg lengths, so I came home empty handed....a few hours off was great though

FestiveFairyFay · 11/01/2009 19:41

for DD2, foxy. I hope she gets better really soon.

And ,fed up emoticon> for Norty, I remember so well how that last few weeks feels.

Hoorya for escapism, Daisy

DS slet a bit better last night. He had a short cry at midnight but settled himself quickly. He was awake from 5:30 but no screaming ab-dabs for hours in the night so things are looking up, fingers crossed for tonight. He ignored his pillow though and slept with his feet on it

LittleMissNorty · 11/01/2009 19:42

I can't last round the shops atm....I managed half an hour in Sainsbury's Friday......Complained to customer services....one woman in her 4 wheel drive parked in the last P&B spot and I had to park right up by the recycling. I'm so fucking fat, I had to move the car twice so I could get out the door, then I could only just get DD out, then I had to walk her down to the trolleys, pick her up and put her in. Meanwhile this fucking woman parked her landrover and fucked off into the shop without so much as a guilty look at me!

sorry, rant over! I'm sure you've all been there! woman in customer services didn't do sweet FA.

Ohforfoxsake · 11/01/2009 19:42

I remember my elephant ankles after giving birth - couldn't get my shoes on. Just lovely!

I would recommend everyone gets some suppositories for their medicene cabinet. Really so much easier than trying to get Calpol into a retching child. The are GP prescribed and not all chemists stock them. Far more popular overseas than here.

LittleMissNorty · 11/01/2009 19:43

Glad DS slept better last night FF....When DD woke up at 6am, DH actually dealt with her cos he was sleeping in the same room ...result

FestiveFairyFay · 11/01/2009 19:51

I do like the idea of suppositries, as so often my 2 won't take medecine. they don't seem very popular here though

LackaDAISYcal · 11/01/2009 20:05

arse to the 4WD driver Norty, inconsiderate witch. I had a rant at a couple who did the same thing to us......on the day I went into labour, so obviously my protective urges were strong They tried to poo poo me by asking, how did i know they didn;t have a child who had gone into the shop.....I bloody well saw them pull up, and the spaces are for young children. not many 5 y olds are trusted to go into a huge tesco by themselves!! I must have been fierce as she put the lock down on the door

I had to buy some fake uggs as I couldn't get any of my shoes on in my last few weeks!!

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 11/01/2009 20:07

for Daisy and Bumble
for Foxy and her LO

But big news - Jamlet took about 3 steps all by herself this afternoon!! We had friends round and she was sitting on my friend's lap on the floor when she just stood herself up and walked a few steps across the room to me! She was very pleased about it, especially when she got a round of applause from us all.

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 11/01/2009 20:08

And about Norty's 4WD woman!

FrazzledFairyFay · 11/01/2009 20:09

grin] HOORAY for Jamlet grin]

LittleMissNorty · 11/01/2009 20:10

That's great Jammy

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 11/01/2009 20:15
