OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 22/01/2009 12:32

Afternoon. Didn't really get on last night because of work and then watching TV with DH (shock horror, MNer spends time with husband ) See you've all been really chatty, so will go catch up in a moment. But am really [shaky] and [stupid] because I scraped the car this morning I think it's cosmetic, but DH is worried it'll mean MOT failure, so we have to look into repairs. Feel really, really stupid. And cat is going for xrays on Monday as blood tests didn't show anything. So am all round really.

Right, off to catch up...

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 22/01/2009 12:41

Oh Norty, hope you're OK. Here's me whinging about being stupid with the car and you've got BP probs

Hope you do get DS moved up at nursery Fury. And Bumper, hope your nursery visits were good and you find somewhere lovely for DD. I'm sure she'll have a grand time, but you need to find somewhere you're happy with obviously.

ToAMountainDAISYcal · 22/01/2009 12:55

ouch about the car jammy . I hope you are OK; these things always shake me up as well.

and i hope the cat's mystery illness is solved soon as well.

Ohforfoxsake · 22/01/2009 14:22

Oh Jammy Hope you are OK. Sometimes its just one thing after another. If it gets on top of you, come here

And Norty, hope you are OK Another day in hospital is NOT what you need. The last few weeks are hard enough as it is.

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 22/01/2009 15:34

Well, looks like I've got a £500 repair bill coming my way That'll teach me to pay attention to obstacles down near floor level.

Bumperslucious · 22/01/2009 16:26

Oh dear jammy, sorry about the car

Just been to the nurseries. Here are the results, need help chosing. What struck me though, after fury's convo yesterday is the number of rooms. The second one had one for 18m-2yr, 2-3 then 3-pre school.

Ohforfoxsake · 22/01/2009 16:36

That's a tough one Bumper. Both sound good in their own way. Which one did you feel better about whilst you were there?

ToAMountainDAISYcal · 22/01/2009 17:00

I texted norty. BP is still a bit high, but ok and she is home. no doubt she'll be along shortly

Sputnik · 22/01/2009 17:10

Glad Norty is ok.

Bugger about the car.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 22/01/2009 18:43

norty glad your back home that you seem to be having so much trouble lately.
fury arse about the nursery, send a letter that always seems to work with these kinds of places. they might listen then.
jammy arse about the car! as if you need more bills in janurary
daisy thanks for link but already down for it i dont miss much if its free money

tom had his 12-2 club for difficult children today, they range me at 9,30 and told me to be in for 12. not impressed, as it take 1hr and 30mins to get there. none of us were even out of bed at that point
its wasnt to bad, was only a starter class so we didnt do anything cept walk round and the kids played a bit.
tom wet himself then poo'd himself there i think he found it all a little too much

oh well always next week.

in other news i am dying.. again.
my tonsils have blown up now, and i had to pop a few strepsils (naughty) as i couldnt speak at one point.
sucking ice is working well, and lots of honey and lemon.
im so fed up being sick

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2009 19:11

Hiya...blimey what a day.

BP "creeping up" rather than dangerously high....was 143/110 this morning but come down to 135/90 by this afternoon so think they are going to keep their eyes on me....thanks for all the good wishes.

I spent an hour driving around the fucking car-park looking for a space and ended up in tears to DH (and maternity day-care as I missed my appointment by miles)....so I drove to DHs work and he took me in and came and picked me up again....I had to wait over 2 hours to be seen and then another 2 having bloods and being monitored!!!

Luckily my sister had DD and she had her first happy meal and McDon milkshake

Jammy - sorry bout car....

back later....dinner to do and doorbell just gone

HellHathNoFury · 22/01/2009 19:37

DS has happy meals all the time.

I am a bad parent.

In fact, we had one tonight.
Oh well

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 22/01/2009 19:39

fury i was just thinking that ellen has them all the time too lol.
not many places to eat when your out round here, and its easy, and CHEAP!

im a bad mummy too

ToAMountainDAISYcal · 22/01/2009 19:52

We have happy meals a lot too, especially when travelling as it's one of the few places I can guarantee a gluten free meal. I just have a big mac without the bun.

Glad you are OK Norty

We're having chinese tonight, I just can't be bothered cooking. I've somewhat neglected my DCs today and they have lived on sandwiches ....although to be fair, it's all DD will eat at the minute.

oooh, foods here!

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 22/01/2009 20:03

mmm yummy daisy sounds nice

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2009 20:08

Daisy...hope you didn't have to wait in too long today

can you tell my DD is PFB.....never occurd to me to buy her a happy meal before.....but DH and I eat loads of takeaways...

Right, dinner!

FrazzledFairyFay · 22/01/2009 20:09

Hi everyone. Glad u r ok Norty , and sorry thinsg aren't so good Jammy

Ohforfoxsake · 22/01/2009 21:02

What's a happy meal?

FrazzledFairyFay · 22/01/2009 21:05

Foxy

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 22/01/2009 21:06

Never occur to me to give jamlet a Happy Meal either. But then it wouldn't occur to me to go to McD's. She can have a Jammy Burger and home made wedges though

Ohforfoxsake · 22/01/2009 21:07

tis a genuine question Fairy! Meals here are generally miserable. I'd love your secrets of a happy meal.

FrazzledFairyFay · 22/01/2009 21:11

Ahhhh, no i understand the question. There are very few 'happy' meals here either. I reckon I could give them both a plate of chocolate and there would still be arguing/food throwing/general stropping

ToAMountainDAISYcal · 22/01/2009 21:13

lol foxy, same here. Same old script everytime as well, with DS taking an age to eat, getting halfway through it and deciding he doesn't like it, or telling me after half an hour that it tastes horrible (well it would do silly boy as it's stone bloody cold!!). And, of course, DD who hero worships him and copies eveything he does has started doing the same.

DS usually ends up being sent to the other bit of the kitchen where we can't see him to finish his meal, and he does, quickly every time. Why oh bloody why can't he do that at the fecking table????

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 22/01/2009 21:16

We just apple & blackberry pie with custard to make us feel better

LittleMissNorty · 22/01/2009 21:32

bloody hell....just doing my tesco's shop.....a cucumber is £1.28

Sorry....had to share that nugget of info with you ...
